I cannot begin to put into words what Dr. Dulberg and the rest of the staff at Two Rivers Acupuncture has done not only for myself but my family as well. My whole life, I have struggled with anxiety and depression. So much so, there were times where it felt all consuming. As a parent of a child with special needs, I have gotten used to placing my wellness in the back seat. I've tried therapy, as well as medication but I never liked how I felt and there was never a long term solution for healing. I think many people, myself included have hesitations regarding acupuncture. It's scary to try something that many do not have enough knowledge of. Acupuncture on babies works! I have a 14-month-old son who suffers from some incredibly painful stomach/digestion issues. When he was around 3 months old he started waking from his naps and at night would scream in pain unable to fall back asleep. My husband and I tried everything we could possibly think of to provide our baby some relief. I was breastfeeding exclusively so I stopped eating dairy - which helped - but didn't solve the problem. We took him to a gastro doctor who thought it was reflux and put him on Mylanta - didn't solve the problem. Then tried MiraLAX - it didn't solve the problem. I read everything I could get my hands on and nothing we tried seemed to provide consistent relief. A little before he turned 6 months old we started feeding him solid food and he got so constipated he would be unable to poop for days screaming in pain. We were beyond absolutely exhausted and at a loss for what to try next. Every night he was waking for hours crying and moaning in pain as he lay on my chest. I could feel his stomach clenching over and over as he tried desperately to get some relief. Then, when our son was 8 months old, we found Two Rivers Acupuncture. From the first session, Lauren was incredibly warm and patient. Our appointments are only about 5-10 minutes long and yet yield remarkable results. Within 2 sessions our son was sleeping better. Within a month, he was sleeping through the night and not waking from his naps anymore. I now schedule our appointments so that they are during his naptime and he literally sleeps through the entire session. Lauren also recommended two different Chinese herbal drops, one of which we still give him once a day (down from two drops, three times a day each.) We now see Lauren about once a month (down from once a week.) He loves to eat everything and anything we put in front of him - although we are steering clear of any gluten or dairy products for the moment. (Fingers crossed he will outgrow these current intolerances as he gets older and his stomach continues to develop!) All to say, Lauren dramatically helped change the course of our son's life. I can't say enough good things about Dr Dulberg and her practice. I started seeing her when I was about 22 weeks pregnant for the purpose of keeping my blood pressure down and helping me to be able to have a VBAC. After reading her impeccable reviews and speaking with her during our initial consultation, I was confident that she would be able to help me with both of these things. Throughout my pregnancy, Dr. Dulberg was my biggest cheerleader and advocate. When she heard of my dissatisfaction with my initial doctor, she sought out other avenues for me to pursue in order to help me have the birth experience that I was striving for. She helped pair me up with the most amazing midwifery practice that also changed my entire experience at 35 weeks. I thought it was crazy to switch providers so late into my pregnancy but Dr. Dulberg encouraged me and reminded me that I deserved the best care and support during my pregnancy and birth of my baby. She truly understood how important it was to me to be able to have a VBAC and never stopped supporting me (even when my doctor tried to push me for a c section). At 37 weeks pregnant, Dr. Dulberg started working with me to help "get things going". When I went for my 37 week check up, I was already 50% effaced. At 38 1/2 weeks pregnant, I began having contractions and was told that I was in early labor. I went in for my acupuncture appointment that evening and went from early labor to active labor within an hour. My blood pressure stayed down through the end of my pregnancy and I was able to deliver my baby naturally, something I do not think I would have been able to do without Dr Dulberg's help throughout the process. Mujing, who also works with Dr. Dulberg, was amazing as well and Megan, who works at the front desk is the best! Dr. Dulberg is truly a life changer. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endo a few years ago and have had numerous procedures for it. I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to even work with top doctors in NYC. However, even after my last 6 hour long laparoscopic procedure, the pain and symptoms came back within a year. The next step was a full hysterectomy. Aside from going on hormone medications or Lupron, which being in my 30's and someone who values clean and holistic living as much as possible, and not an avenue I was about to engage willingly in, there was no end in sight to the surgeries and procedures. I had heard about Acupuncture for Endo but honestly thought I was to far gone, even my Endo Dr's had told me not to have to much faith with how much the disease is present throughout my body. Dr. Dulberg is a caring and thoughtful practitioner with so much expertise when it comes to women's health. When I was 33 weeks pregnant my baby had finally turned into the correct position from being breech the entire pregnancy, but then at 35 weeks she went back to being breech. I contacted Dr. Dulberg because I did not want to have a version procedure done and had heard that acupuncture could help. I saw Dr. Dulberg for two visits and between acupuncture and the Chinese medicine she gave us, by my next visit (37 weeks) my baby was in the right position! Our work, however, was not done; this was my second baby and my first was almost two weeks late and came via emergency cesarean after a 40 hour labor. I really wanted to VBAC and my obgyn was supportive but because my first was big (9.1) we also didn't want to go too late. I saw Dr. Dulberg 2-3 times per week for the last few weeks of my pregnancy to help with cervical ripening. At every visit with my obgyn I was progressing, from 2-4 centimeters and moving towards fully effaced, something that didn't happen with my first. I saw Dr. Dulberg the day I went into labor (1 day before my due date) and walked into the hospital at 6cm dilated! Had a successful VBAC of a 9.4lb baby girl! Having a VBAC was an emotional experience for me; I really wanted it to happen but was so anxious about it and doubting my ability - seeing Dr. Dulberg and hearing her stories made me feel confident and more at ease with whichever ending we'd arrive at. I started seeing Dr. Dulberg when she was in the city at another center. It was just luck to get her, but I knew after my first treatment I would be seeing much more of her. In my initial consultation Dr. Dulberg spent nearly two hours with me. She wanted to really know who I was and why I was coming to her. I felt so heard and validated. I felt better. I was calm. I wanted to try acupuncture for two reasons: first because I have a lot of anxiety, and secondly because I wanted to get pregnant soon, and I knew that acupuncture could be helpful should I run into an issue. A month after I started seeing her I was feeling less anxious and thankfully, pregnant. I continued to see her throughout the first 5 months of my pregnancy pretty regularly. A few months ago I started suffering extreme pain on the left side of my body. I had it all. Hip pain, satica, throbbing knee pain, tricep pain. I decided to try Acupuncture. Did not know what to expect but was open to exploring this method. The moment you walk into Two Rivers its like entering a spa in the middle of Vail, Colorado. I visited Dr. Dulberg after having Bell's Palsy for almost four years after. I had honestly almost give up. If you are not familiar Bell's Palsy is a virus that attacks your nervous system. Unfortunately if you had Chicken Pox you can get it. It basically paralyzed half of my face. I was very thankful that that is all that was paralyzed but it definitely hurt my self-esteem. Dr. Dulberg in just a few months has really performed a miracle! She has given me my smile back! I had been ashamed of smiling for so long. If I could give 10 stars I would! A little under a year ago I had an emergency Appendectomy which left me with some complications afterwards. I had some sort of nerve damage and wasn't able to move my arms and legs without getting terrible shocks down my arms and legs. Having gone from specialist to specialist with no real answers I was so frustrated. That's when I contacted Lauren to see if she could help. Within a few treatments I was having less pain and was able to fully walk with very little pain! I drive an hour and a half to see her because there is no one better than her! Lauren is phenomenal!! She came highly recommended by a friend and I was extremely eager to start acupuncture. I was having issues with my pregnancy and Lauren was able to trigger my issues. After having a tough first and second trimester, my third was a breeze! I felt so good; better than I had in the previous trimesters. I was going for a VBAC and Lauren worked with me to try and accomplish my goal. At my last session, as Lauren came in to remove the needles, my water broke on her table!!! I've been seeing Lauren for a year so far and have had such a great experience! After my second baby I found myself dealing with symptoms of a hormonal imbalance. This lead to a miscarriage followed a couple months later by an ectopic pregnancy and the loss of one of my Fallopian tubes. After six months of weekly Acupuncture sessions and herbs my symptoms improved and we were able to conceive our rainbow. I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and still seeing Lauren weekly. I've also brought my daughter for sessions to deal with GI symptoms caused by a congenital defect and a history of surgery.
