Our seven-month-old puppy, Cinder, got her first training today with Jamie, and we didn't know what…read moreto expect. We just thought we needed help. Cinder is a rescue, we've had her for about a month, and felt we were not making the right progress. We had a 90-minute session, which consisted mostly of Jamie asking us questions, learning about how we have built our relationship with Cinder, what habits she has, and Jamie offered us guidance. Jamie was friendly, treated us like the adults we are, and made sure we understood things rather than just (pardon the pun) barking orders and telling us to follow them. As it turned out, we learned that we're already on the right path with Cinder. Jamie suggested things to work on, but also told us that we don't need a bunch of sessions to get Cinder trained. We just needed to keep doing what we're doing. Jamie could have told us that we needed an x-number of sessions at whatever cost and we wouldn't have known the difference. We both appreciated Jamie's honesty and how easy it was to talk to her. Jamie invited us to come back if we felt we needed additional guidance or wanted to do something specific. Five-stars all around for Laughing Dogs. We look forward to using their services for future daycare and boarding needs. Thank you.

They are the best! We have used them for both our dogs since puppies and now almost 7 years later…read more They love it there. Staff is very very caring and go the extra mile from coming to take them for walks at home, bring them home from daycare. And always willing to take them on unscheduled days/last minute needs. While I was down for major surgery they brought the dogs home when we couldn't and came to take for walks when I couldn't. Also having extra benefits such as grooming/nails and all during daycare is amazing, one stop shopping. They keep you up to date too if anything arises during care. Wonderful!

We own a breeding pair of Boston Terriers. We also have 2…read moremales, one from their first litter and another male from their most recent litter. Independently, they all behave well, add 3 other dogs and chaos ensues!. We contacted John for help. He quickly identified behaviors they needed to work on, one being impulse control and worked with them 3 times a week. Then we met with John and he showed us what he was doing with our dogs so we can continue the training. At the end of each week John works with our dogs and us to ensure the training transfers from John to us. Our dogs are significantly calmer now and look to us for directions. We have young grandsons who have been able to play with all of the dogs and not be afraid of getting knocked down His methods have been very successful for both us and our dogs. John has a knack with dogs. They trust him and have fun figuring out what behaviors he wants them to do. We hope to have John a part of our dogs lives even as the training piece is ending. He shares great insights, and all while in your home to maximize positive outcomes.

We sent our (at the time) 5 month old Shiba Inu, Dobby, to bootcamp. He was very skittish around…read moreeverything. This also made him a bit aggressive. He would bite whenever anyone would touch him. We also knew how smart Shibas can be. Dobby was 'self-potty trained' and easily picked up on commands like sit and shake, so we knew we had a smart pup. We wanted to get him the right kind of training so he wouldn't out smart us when he got older. Jesica, his trainer, was great. She gave us updates and was upfront about his progression. When he came back, he was calmer (still very puppy though!) and more respectful to us and our cats. He lets everyone pet him and walks great on the leash. He was a whole new dog! I loved that we were able to learn from Jesi how to keep working with Dobby. When she came for his check ins, he was so excited to see her and listened great to her. We are still working on him having constant obedience and not just when he feels like it. I feel confident that we can with the tools Jesica gave and the constant support K9Suburban offers.

We cannot recommend Tyrese at A Howling Good Time Dog Training highly enough! FIVE STARS!!…read moreWe adopted a rescue dog who is half Great Pyrenees and half Husky--two breeds well known for their intelligence, independence, and reputation for being difficult to train. In fact, another trainer we contacted declined to work with her because of her breed mix. Tyrese, however, welcomed the challenge with confidence, patience, and skill. For one month, three days a week, Tyrese worked with our dog, Margot, and completely transformed her behavior. She is still the smart, independent thinker we love, but she now reliably comes when called (sometimes with side-eye, lol) and stays on command--something we weren't sure would ever be possible. The progress she made is remarkable and her spirit is intact. What impressed us most was Tyrese's training style. He is incredibly kind and gentle with our dog, and she was never fearful or stressed during training. At the same time, he maintains complete control and earns her respect through consistency and clear communication. It is obvious that he truly understands dogs and how to bring out their best. Tyrese also invests heavily in training the owners. He visited our home initially to observe her behavior and provided many instructional videos, of his work with Margot, for us. At pick up time, Tyrese also spends one-on-one time reinforcing the skills we need to continue our dog's success, His commitment to both Margot and the family makes all the difference. If you're looking for a trainer who is patient, knowledgeable, effective, and genuinely cares about your dog's well-being, Tyrese is the person to call. He is also super fun and flexible to work with. We are incredibly grateful for the confidence and freedom his training has given both us and our beautiful young rescue pup.

He's not trying to be a dog whisperer--some mystic with secret skills. It's about teaching both the dog and the owner about behavior that works. He's a teacher. I want to shout out his colleague, Derek, for also doing great work. I recommend A Howling Good Time unreservedly.
