I posted an ad on Craigslist to have my tree removed and must have had at least 20 people contact me via text, e-mail or phone, who all eventually flaked out, except for Twisted Trees. I also called around town to various landscaping companies and that was a nightmare in itself also. This company was able to remove my 20 foot palm tree along with all the debris/wood within hours. The gentleman who came out was very friendly and did the job at a reasonable price. They are licensed and insured. Would I use him again? Sure would. I hired Gino to trim a number of trees on my property, including three 40ft Italian Cypress trees, as well as removing a Sago Palm tree that was planted in-ground next to my pool and replanting it into a pot for me. The work he and his worker Doug did was spread out over two days and they did a stellar job on everything. This was the second time I've hired them to trim my trees. I've found both of them to be good, honest guys who do good work and charge a very fair price for the work they do, maybe even a little under-priced in my opinion for the amount of effort they put in. I asked when they could start and he told me he could be by in the morning. They tackled my mess of a yard in about 4 hours. Gino definitely went above and beyond my expectations. I had sent out a bunch of emails looking for quotes to have 3 trees trimmed. I never reached out to Twisted Trees, somehow they found me. I was quoted right away without anyone actually coming by. Because of the low price I scheduled to have them come out on a Monday at 9am. On Monday I was called by Gino who said he had gotten a flat tire on his way and would be late (a similar story to another review). He showed up around 12 did a little bit of work and left at 2, even though we had paid him for the service already. Now the Friday before when we had spoken he told me it was a 1 day job, so I was already irritated. The second day he again arrived late and up sold my husband into getting the weeds pulled for $50 more, my husband again paid him up front against his better judgment. Again Gino left at 2. This time leaving my side gate open which my dog left out of. The third day I received a call from Gino saying he would not be by because of banking issues. To me this is not a good excuse, I already paid. At the same time Gino's wife called my husband saying they were on their way. Complete lack of communication. They did come and tried to raise the price again by $40 because he had under bided himself. Not my problem. We said no, and expected the job to be completed. On the fourth day as usual they showed up around noon and left at 2. I received a call since I was at work assuring me the job was done. Once I got home I saw that it was not. Trees are still touching the house, they did not clean up after themselves and not a single weed was pulled. We decided to hire another company to finish the job which of course I'm not happy about. Bottom line you get what you pay for. The work was cheap and so was the quality. I do NOT recommend this company and if I could give a lower rating I would. Since I can't reply to the comment below I'll edit here. Yes, the trees were severely over grown. However you did not finish the job. The trees still need to be finished, the weeds NEVER were touched and I still have branches in my yard. Yes you did cut the grass, a whole 2ft by 6ft area that no one asked you to do. Gino is a really nice guy however I found him ill equipped to permanently remove my Oleanders. My Chinese Elm is sprouting up everywhere again as well. Destroying my new landscaping. I have had to call Gino out numerous times and still the stuff that was supposed to be removed is still coming back. Never was properly taken care of. Very expensive with a poor outcome. Really need another visit with a permanent solution on his dime. Not mine. read more

I hired them because of the rating on yelp. Unfortunately I did not check the dates on the reviews! He showed up late for the quote, at which time I told him it was imperative to be on time if we hired him to which he responded "no problem". He was late no the next scheduled appointment and said he had fired an employee. Ok, I understand that. But he carried no tools (ended up using ours) and had no invoice book. On the next appt he said his engine had blown in his car. Hmm, guess I should have told him we couldn't use him with no car. But gave him the benefit of the doubt. The next appointment was at 9 am. Keep in mind we had to be home when he arrived. 5 hours later he showed up. That was it. I told him I would not be using him. He replied, "I'd like to finish the sprinkler system", so I agreed. Next appointment he did not call before arriving and showed up at his leisure...was dropped off by someone! Omg, lol really? So I gave him 2 hours to finish and he STILL wasn't done! Finally had to ask him to leave my property. We paid to have our sprinkler system fixed and it was not completed. Horrible. I'm not bashing the guy, just letting people know what to expect. If your time is as valuable as ours, I suggest you use that time to find a reputable landscaper...with tools and a vehicle. Good luck! read more
