Jokingly I asked could she design my unit exactly as she did the model. I say jokingly for two reasons... 1) I thought she only did commercial business. 2) If she did partake in residential work, I knew I would not be able to afford her services. Surprisingly, I was wrong on both accounts. I explained to her Im a single guy and I wanted to have a stylish home, but I have no sense of style and would be of no help lol... She told me not to worry and asked me what my budget was (lol which was scary cause I didnt have one) Here is how I knew Sonja was a professional and good at what she does. .... I am super indecisive and she made the process painless for me. She provided me with quotes and walked me through a few options. I ended up getting what she referred to as a turn-key ready unit. I liked to refer to it as.... pay the lady and let her work her magic lol... I LOOOOOOOOVE my condo... My friends think Im some sort of Interior Design Guru, because Ive been taking all the credit (Sorry Sonja) :-) .... But to clear my concious lol... I decided to come on here and tell the rest of the world how wonderful you are....

They have a nack for problem solving and thus saving me from lots of little issues. All this is enough for my loyalty but tack on their fantastic sense of how to enhance room spaces with accessible layouts and perfectly selected furniture and art and you have the go to stagers/ interior designers inside the beltway. 3 listings with them doing the staging and 3 escalating contracts. Very unorganized and fail to follow instruction…read more I was referred to Tiffany by my realtor, she first came out to inspect my property and discuss what type of staging it would need. For the most part, she said she'd use most my belongings and bring in a few decorative pieces, a desk and a chair. I was quoted $1200 for the work and decided to buy a desk and chair myself. Later on, my realtor kept pushing for this company to stage my home (that should have raised a flag) and kept telling me that my home would not sell without their full service (aka staging the entire condo). I'm not sure what kind of business my realtor and Parker were in, but I never felt more pressured to use someone's service. I agreed and contracted full staging in a vacant property, paid movers to move my things into storage and hoped this would help sell my home. I asked for a bed in my 2nd room, but instead they staged an office. Several areas of the home were left bare, no headboards, little to no accessories. And I paid $1750 out of pocket (another sign their prices are off if they had quoted me $1200 for less in the beginning). I was not happy. But that isn't why they got the 1 star review, their mistakes pushed my listing back 2 entire weeks since I had to work on their schedule even though the mistakes were on them. After the second time they came to fix their staging, it was STILL was unfinished so I chose to ask for a refund and shop for a new stager and realtor. They refunded me my money minus $450 moving costs, which I think is truly unfair, but accepted the loss. The excuse was that it was basically my realtor'a failure to communicate, that they thought the home would have my items, etc. Even though we had a contractual agreement for full staging in a vacant home. On top of everything. I would never get a heads up on their stagers coming by when they were swapping out items, etc. My alarm would go off every time and I'd get calls from neighbors, and security who were afraid my place was getting broken into. Just unprofessional. The style is outdated, most of the items were in very poor condition. Especially the rugs, towels, and bedding. Just not good quality overall.

I have been buying renovating and selling homes in the Washington DC Metropolitan area since 2003…read more I discovered staging a home is a good business strategy in general to attract more people to my properties. I have been working exclusively with Nichelle Turner of Parker Interiors since 2015. She has been awesome. I trust her decisions implicitly. The pricing she gives me is fair. The benefits of her work far outweigh the cost. She comes to preview the space unsupervised. She installs the furniture and transforms all of my homes. They come by to retrieve the furniture and items at the end of the contract term. It couldn't get any easier and better. My pictures come out wonderful and then the house sells itself. I recently netted 10% over my original projected resale asking price on my property. And received four over asking price offers. Thank you Nichelle!
