bad service , from the owner paid 225 for a starter lock service I expressed during the visit that I have a tender scalp on Tinder, headed and disregarded all of that of what I when I did reach out to her my style decided to unravel I expressed these things to her and she basically acted like she was going to help but disregarded everything that I was explaining to her got upset and she hung up in my face when she said she was going to fix the problem and do my hair. I have text message She decided to say no I'm going to charge you additional for the added Hair and I would have to provide the Hair on my own so the that would it be 275 I decided that I don't want the service because the way she was acting was very rude and disrespectful towards me as a new client not worth going to her find a Loctician that will help you the Loctician in her suite may be better, but she's not a good loctiation.then she, is very very very she was talking about people while she was doing my hair. She also said that she wouldn't talk about me like that in between her talking about people in front of me her clients also she invited a guest while doing my hair took breaks eight food. It was a bad service all the way around. I will say that I tried to compromise with her, but she just is not professional whatsoever. Very very ghetto find a Loctician that cares about you and your hair if you're gonna spend $225 and then be gaslighting and say that's not no money at all. I would like to start off by saying | really like this place, I visited last week or the week before for the 3rd time, and I just wanna say great beautiful women working in the shop, but they can definitely work on professionalism. The owner I believe is Shana and she so sweet buuuut she talks about EVERYBODY from the ladies working in the shop down to basically every single last customer. The young lady who's station is closer to the wash bowls has a very very disturbing presence, she changes the vibe of the shop she doesn't show any sign of friendliness even with her clients, she just looks sad or angry and uses loads of profanity. Again last week was my 3rd visit and it's always the same, loads of gossip from the owner so you know you're being talked about when you leave, and that other young lady hates her job. Honesty is what I needed. I came to India on 7/11/24 and requested sister locks. I'm approaching menopause so my hair was very thin. I called the previous day and wa scheduled for sister locks at 300.00, next day appointment I wa juiced my journey was startin. Igot there on time and sat for 2 hour, that should have told me. Today 7/26 3 weeks later, they've undone and I have a afro. I went to the shop and India then told me that my hair was too short and I needed to wait 2 months she could wash me. Why TF would I let her touch my hair after that, it was long enough on the 300.00 install? My advice as a Bay Area native 707 if you want BAY AREA GO THERE. First of all, the shop was such a cool laid back vibe, everyone was welcoming and had great conversation the entire time. It was clean, organized and comfortable. I was hesitant to bring my son to a professional loctitian because I started his locs and knew I didn't do the best job at it. My review is strictly based on customer service/Professionalism. As a first time customer but not my first time booking an appointment for my hair maintenance. I booked my appointment through style seat unfortunately i had the wrong day stuck in my head so i missed my appointment, this i acknowledge and take full accountability for. The issues comes in at this point. I called the owner due to my card being charged being that i thought my appointment was for the next day. Speaking to her i realized i had the wrong day, my appointment was for 3:00pm i called at 3:30. So i asked if she had time for me to come at that moment she stated no im on the other side of town (how when my appointment was less than 30 min ago) she stated she called me i had not one missed call from her nor a voice message, she then stated that she would call me back to see what we could do. She never called back. My sister who works in the same building went over to her shop to see if she had anything available since ive been charged already,she stated she would reach out, i sent her a text just in case she misplaced my number, still havent heard anything. Again my review is completely based upon professionalism even if there was nothing she could do, i would have accepted that but instead has heard nothing, things happen in life, work with people like we have to work with yall when you are overbooked, late etc. Im a great customer im consistent and i always tip, she s not hurting for buisness because her craft is great.
