I got the $11 cider flight that came with 4 2-ounce pours and my husband got the large, 14 oz. pear cider for $12. We also got a 4 pack of the canned pear cider for $11.99! We also each got to try a complimentary tasting of the pineapple haze cider that wasn't on the menu yet. The place was clean, everyone was super friendly at the bar and the restrooms were spotless. There was 11 to choose from (4 whites and 7 reds). As usual, tasting fee is waived if you buy a bottle. Bottles are in the $20.00 to $45.00 range (tax included). - 2018 white bridge - easy drinking white blend of muscat, chardonnay and riesling. - 2017 scout vineyard riesling - sweet aroma but a mineral taste that B did not particularly enjoy. - 2018 gamay- this was our favourite of the bunch so we bought a bottle ($25.00). Juicy, smooth raspberries. - 2017 scout vineyard syrah - peppery and earthy notes. - 2016 passion pit vineyard cabernet sauvignon - a classic cab sav. Very savoury. - 2016 hendsbee vineyard petit verdot- these are usually blended with other reds so it was interesting to try on its own. Much more tannin forward (aka. dry). Decent wines. 3.5 stars.

These days there are so many amazing companies rolling out some delicious products! My latest fav has been Scenic Road Cider Co. from Kelowna, a local company in the Okanagan. They've been handcrafting small batches of some fab tasting ciders using their very own apples as well as other local produce. I absolutely love their bottle designs, such adorable prints that are all different and unique! They have a few flavours to choose from all made with all natural and gluten free ingredients. Dry - This one uses English style apples as well as traditional, super easy drinking. Nearly Dry - This one is your traditional blend of OK valley apples. Razz - loving the addition of some local Fraser Valley raspberries in this blend, subtle and delicious. Mama Beary - Love that this one supports 'Mamas for Mamas' which is a local charity for women. Great flavour with the addition of raspberries, red currants and blackberries. Droool. Peary - My fav, made with local dessert pears and oh so yummy! They also come out with Cidermaker Select Series so keep your eye out for those gems! Be sure to try them out and support your locals during this crazy time. Otherwise, the tasting room is quaint and homey. Our host was fantastic; funny, quick witted and informative. Clearly loves his job and cider. There was four ciders to taste (bonus: it's complimentary). Sadly, they were out of the Mama Beary (which comes out on Mother's Day) and cidermaker's selection. Future cidermaker flavours in the works included cherry, winter spice and cranberry. Bottles are $8.44 to $9.59 range. Appreciate that the prices already include taxes. 10% off if you buy a dozen bottles. They had a pre-made four pack for $35.16. - Peary - off dry that's made from 100% pears. Light and enjoyable. - Dry - not as dry as we expected. I actually liked this one more than the nearly dry. - Nearly dry - this one didn't leave much of an impression on me. - Razz - this was a surprise. Shocking burst of raspberry flavour. We bought a bottle ($22.00) for home. - Century - Aurora 2020 - this was the same as last year (merlot). Slight off dry finish. Apparently, they use a different grape in each year's edition. - Goldie 2019 - their barrel aged cider. Aged in oak barrels. - Crabby apple - solid like last year's version. - Juice - still as good as we remember. Crazy that it's good to drink for up to 2 months. Decent ciders at C&G. I definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area and want to do some wine tasting.
