I went down to twins today ..and found the lady behind the counter downstairs to be VERY RUDE and ver unhelpful it was as though she couldnt ne bothered...so why work there if u dont enjoy it? also she had a face of a slapped behind!!! She also got very stroppy with me and shoved past my 4 year old daughter which i wasnt impressed with. i was told something totally different by a lady upstairs but then they changed what they were saying. I suggest they should all go to have lessons on customer services as they have none at alll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im totally gobsmacked on how they speak to customers, I love twins cake store as i like the bits they do but i think they should get a whole bunch of new stafff B4 they have no customers!!!!!!! read more

I am very surprised to read the above reviews about the customer skills or lack there of. It is a pity as the shop in itself is a cake maker's dream and there are not many of those around these days. So far each time I have been there, the service has been friendly and helpful, although on a one-off occasion when accompanied by a friend I was recommending the shop to, the young girl behind the till seemed to find a problem in responding to questions asked, but I just put this down to her having a bad personal day which she should have dealt with privately. I think if people do have a problem with a member of staff in any shop, perhaps a word in management's ear would be better than running the shop down on the internet. read more

My wife makes cakes for family and friends as a hobby, she regularly needs tins, ribbons etc. We have bought a lot of things from Twins as it is close to our home, serveral times there have been faults with the goods we have been sold, when trying to return the items we have both had rude, arrogant and damn right beligerance in the face of a simple transaction that any other shop would easily deal with. I would recommend anyone thinking of using Twins to find an alternative, only use this shop if you absolutely have to. read more

I am a regular visitor and i think it depends on who serves you really. But i have to agree they need to train their staff to be more customer friendly. Since it's the only store that is local to Romford i don't know if they care or are bothered, since customers don't have much choice other than to go to their store. I think they have an excellent stock range and pricing is fairly competitive but they need to have more of a caring and helpful attitude towards their customers. read more
