From custom dog tags to etched wine glasses, their ability to create unique and personalized items for each event is truly impressive. This year, I unfortunately couldn't make it to Scoops, but got the biggest dose of FOMO when I saw Signs of our Lives had a pop-up in the VIP booth featuring engraved ice cream spoons. We emailed back and forth a few times and after my fourth (complimentary) proof, the invitation was perfect! We included a matching RSVP card and a "Details" card we created together with helpful information for guests. We had booked Frank Sinatra's Twin Palms Estate in Palm Springs and knew we wanted an invitation suite that went well with the venue. We had a few calls with Maureen, and after some revisions, we had a perfect suite! The colors, the dimension, and the texture were all lovely. And it was great to hear what the guests thought as they were received. Maureen also created a design for our welcome bags, labels for our escort bottles of cocktails, and custom panels for our bar. I can't overstate how much her work brought our entire day together, from setting the mood with her welcome sign design, to memorializing our ceremony with absolutely gorgeous programs that will be keepsakes for our guests, to table numbers and cocktail menus that were cheeky and fun. At first I felt self-conscious hiring Maureen - her work on Instagram and her website is so stunning and large-scale, and we didn't feel like we had the budget to commission big or impressive-enough items to fulfill her creative spirit. This was, of course, all in my head. Maureen could not have been kinder or more thoughtful throughout the process, and gave honest recommendations about what materials we should consider based on our budget and aesthetic at every stage. What blew us away the most was her ability to intuit what we wanted based on only minimal guidance from us. We didn't have a clear "theme" for our wedding and felt like we gave her the most incoherent array of ideas ("flowers that are weird and a little scary" "animals that don't necessarily go together"), but from that she proposed designs that were truly perfect for us and spoke directly to our hearts. She is really, truly gifted. Every piece of our day-of stationary is so treasured by us and will remain a keepsake forever. We wrote letters to each of our guests that served as their escort cards, and the care Maureen put into making them beautiful means they'll be keepsakes for them as well. Depending on what you want to make, they also offer a multitude of strings and attachments. All your bead dreams will definitely come true here!
