This is one golf course that you can have fun and enjoy plenty of scenic views. The course is not…read morelengthy, however it requires accurate shot placement. The practice area offers a large putting green and elevated driving range. I especially like the back nine that features a well designed layout through marsh land and finishing on a memorable par 5 dogleg. The pro shop staff is top notch and well run. It's worth the drive from the twin cities and if you happen to live in the southern metro a course that is on your permanent rotation.

I've been to Boulder a few times and it is a pretty course, there is a lot of wetlands and water is in play quite often. There are wooden bridges and tressels throughout to connect you from tee box to fairway and hole to hole. I liked the tee shots that required a little imagination, you can't just let it fly on every hole or you'll be in trouble. They provide a course outline with yardage to hazards and tips and tricks. This was awesome to have and not available at a lot of courses that don't have GPS. There are a handful of holes you have to lay up or play a draw/fade in order to have a shot at birdie or par. The people here were perfectly friendly to our party, not sure what the EZlinks guy is talking about... They even gave us a coupon for a $28 round with cart during another visit, I thought that was awesome! We paid $42 on Memorial Day at 9am for 18 and a cart, pretty good deal in my opinion. I'd give 5 stars if it weren't for the bunkers, they needed a little work, of course I shouldn't have been in there anyways right? :)

Everyone had a smile and that definitely contributed to a fantastic atmosphere. The course had lots of terrain and mature trees but wasn't too punishing for novice golfers (90-110 scores) who only play a couple rounds per summer typically but are working to play more often. I would highly recommend making the drive during the summer and can only imagine the views in early fall with the river valley leaves. Finally it looks like the clubhouse / restaurant is set up to host events and wedding receptions with amazing views. We will be back as the views, course, and staff made the easy 1 hour drive from Eagan well worth it.

A couple of switchbacks on the road bring you to a ridge overlooking the Mississippi River. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in great shape. The forward tees were around 4800 yards which is a bit more on the shorter side but the many narrow fairways created plenty of challenges. Staff was friendly. Carts did not have GPS. We had a great experience and would gladly return for another round.
