Tee boxes and greens were well kept. I'm not sure if they even allow walking but the distance between holes is immense. We saw bunnies, deer, hawks, eagles, and a turkey. The forward tees were about 5000 yards which is a good distance. Loved the views of the river and bluffs from up high. A signature hole is #17 which is a par 3 that is about 130yds from the forward tees but plays like less than 100 yds because it's straight down. Fun.

A couple…read morehighlights: - several holes had amazing views of the river valley so much so that the couple we were golfing worh took lots of photos - the greens were challenging but in a fun way as lots of slope and very well maintained. - the course had a really relaxed vibe and fellow golfers were very friendly. - the staff was super friendly from the person washing carts who got us set up to the pro shop to the beverage cart server to the restaurant/bar where we had lunch after our round. Everyone had a smile and that definitely contributed to a fantastic atmosphere. The course had lots of terrain and mature trees but wasn't too punishing for novice golfers (90-110 scores) who only play a couple rounds per summer typically but are working to play more often. I would highly recommend making the drive during the summer and can only imagine the views in early fall with the river valley leaves. Finally it looks like the clubhouse / restaurant is set up to host events and wedding receptions with amazing views. We will be back as the views, course, and staff made the easy 1 hour drive from Eagan well worth it.

A couple of switchbacks on the road bring you to a ridge overlooking the Mississippi River. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in great shape. The forward tees were around 4800 yards which is a bit more on the shorter side but the many narrow fairways created plenty of challenges. Staff was friendly. Carts did not have GPS. We had a great experience and would gladly return for another round.

I was immediately struck by how much work went into the main room, acoustically and visually. I was an acoustician before I retired and my wife is an artist and we were both impressed. I found the Rochester Indoor Golf Center. During my first simulator practice session I overheard a golf lesson being conducted in the next bay. The instruction being communicated was technically accurate, easy to understand, and being delivered by a professional golf instructor with obviously a lot of playing and teaching experience. Not a club pro or someone with a philosophy, but solid golf instruction and teaching experience. At the end of that first session I managed to schedule a lesson from Paul Pehler. I have had many lessons over the years with a lot of different golf instructors. I have never had a more enjoyable, challenging and productive golf lesson than what I received from Paul at Rochester Indoor Golf Center. The staff at Rochester Indoor Golf Center were all very knowledgeable and helpful. If you are looking for simulator practice, real instruction, or equipment, I can't recommend this place highly enough.

The greens rolled true. There is definitely water and sand challenges beyond the length. I never found myself in the sand but did find the water on the long par 3s where you had to fly the water to reach the green. Carts had GPS. There were also beverage carts along the course. They have a really nice turn to get food and beverages if you choose. Your green fee includes a small range ball basket. They also have chipping and putting greens for practice. Someone greeted us at the bag drop and loaded up a cart for us. Very nice staff and loved the course.

I like be that I can get on early walk the course and not feel pressured to speed up so as not to slow down others. This is a great course for the casual as well as the new golfer. The I do score my actual game but nice to hit another just to correct the oops. Owners are super helpful it's very relaxed. Others on the course are courteous and friendly. You could take your kids here and folks would just be happy you are spending time with them. Fish fry on Friday was really good and well you just feel at home here.
