(Which apparently didn't exist on this particular Saturday night) I walked in at 8:07 with my group of 3 and was greeted by a rude employee stating that due to no one being there they were closing early at 9, so it may not be worth our time to stay. I thought this was weird due to the fact that there were close to 30 bowlers there. After the employee rushed us thru the check in process he joined his group of friends which made up about 15 of the 30 bowlers a couple lanes down. After finishing up around 9 I went to pay for our group. I noticed on the counter, and on the monitor next to our lane, there was an ad that stated "Cosmic Bowling! Saturday from 6-10pm. Rent a lane for only $30 for up to 6 Players for 2 hours!" He stated that our total was $45.xx. I questioned the price by explaining that there is an ad that says that groups can bowl for 2 hours for only $30. He replied by saying "well, you didn't stay the full 2 hours so I can't give you the deal!" And I should "take it up with the owner because she told me to close early." I explained that I would have gladly stayed for the full 2 hours but you decided to close early. This is an attempt for the owner to make it right. If you care about your business, honor your specials. I understand that running businesses are extremely challenging, but you cannot leave your business in the hands of someone who is extremely incapable of running it.

Last year, I took the kids to ride at the Clear Fork ATV park. It was a good experience. We had a…read moregood lunch at the onsite restaurant before paying the fee ($20 pp, regardless of age) to ride the property. There were not many people there, but I don't think the defunct-ski-resort-turned-ATV-park had been open for very long. The lodge/Bar/Restaurant building was clean and air conditioned with decent restroom facilities. Sunday was the fourth time that I've ridden the Clear Fork Adventure Park in the past two years. Unfortunately, the park was in the worst shape ever. The restaurant is permanently closed. They used to mow all of the ski hills and the land surrounding the adult and kids' dirt tracks. The kids track was so overgrown, I had trouble finding it. Almost all of the grass on the property was 2-4 feet tall. I encountered many thorny vines growing across the poorly-marked trails (dark-red spray-painted dots on trees mean wrong-way; dark-green spray-painted dots mean right-way). I used to like to ride this place on the weekend for safety reasons (rather than face the high-traffic trails at Wayne on weekends). It was a nice place to take the kids, and it's only an hour away from home. Unfortunately, it is not going to survive by charging riders $20 per day and failing to perform minimal maintenance on the property. The hours of operation are pretty strange as well: Wed - Sun, noon - 7 PM. We were told the resort has been sold two or three times, and it is currently owned by an investment group in Utah that owns 27 other resorts (this is the only one that is an ATV park).

Rafting family trip…read more We went on a Saturday to canoe. We had two adults and 3 kids in our group. I asked what they would recommend based on the river conditions. I was told we could not fit all 5 of us in the canoe we would need a raft. We decided on the 3 mile trip since it was supposed to take 2 to 3 hours. It only took about an hour. For the price I would recommend taking the 7 mile trip since it was a lot of money for a short period of time.

You have a choice between kayaks, canoes, tubes or a full raft like the one we chose. Once you have selected and paid you wait for a shuttle bus to take you down to the river. We then waited in line to launch our vessels and paddled away. Had such a fun time even with the water levels low in some places. Once we had finished, they helped us out of the water and we were back at the facility. They had all sorts of other activities like a rope course and the price was reasonable. Would definitely like to return on my next visit to Ohio.
