A first time visitor!!! Mainly dropped by to swim for oysters! Nice spot to get some big ones…read more Parking is limited, so gotta drive around to find a parking space, if you get lucky. Swimming around and walking in the water to find good oysters was a fun and new experience. When we went, it was pretty packed in the Summer time, so plan to see a few groups of people doing the same kind of thing near you. They will be swimming nearby, walking and digging up oysters by the dock as well. Didn't go hiking at the Park, so this review is mainly for visiting the beach and dock area, which I would recommend for everyone. Maybe go on a hot day to take advantage of the water? Check the tide schedule for the water level in order to get oysters, if that's on your to-do list, too. Overall, we had a good ol' time!

Anywho, eventually, we found this spot, and it was exactly how my aunt and uncle described it. Lots of nature and walking paths, and gorgeous views of the water. The campgrounds are also sizeable, and there were plenty of campers and families hanging out and enjoying the sunshine. There's also a little amphitheater area made of tree stumps and wooden benches with a wooden stage. I think you have a reserve that area if you wanna use it, though. This place is chill and great for passing the time (maybe like 2 hours or so if you meander through all of the walking trails). Also, it's pet-friendly.

It rained the whole weekend we were here but the host was pleasant and friendly, the people there definitely maintain the park beautifully, and the ranger came by several times which made us feel remotely safe. Plenty of fun in the area for boating and swimming, two spots for RV/Travel Trailer camping. It's a serene and beautiful site that was more than adequate for a weekend away. If you're looking for just a night or several weeks, this campground is well maintained with beautiful views, and friendly and hardworking staff members. Truly a gem.

The road to the camp is a bit of a trekk. It's long, windy, and much of it dirt with pot holes. There's also no cell service out there so be sure to communicate with anyone you're meeting shortly after turning off highway 2. The camp sites themselves are good sized, we easily fit 2 tents and our cars. There was a fire pit and a picnic table too. We had access to the river and enjoyed a nice cold plunge on a warm day. There were several hikes in the area to choose from but we couldn't turn down the incredible Lake Blanca, whose trailhead was only a few minutes away. We look forward to visiting this campground again next year.

The campground at Troublesome Creek is an absolute gem. Located about two hours from any…read moresignificant population base, accessible off of a (mostly) dirt forest service road, you'll marvel at the serenity of this idyllic campground. There are two sides to this campground, an east and a west loop. My spot was on the east loop, space 15 and I'd definitely recommend the spaces on the east loop, as they give you ample privacy with equally ample access to the creek and the North Fork of the Skykomish River. No power hookups means you can set the devices aside and worry little about what's happening in the city. Out here, the entertainment is happening in nature. Views of surrounding peaks, the rush of the water as it flows past and as night falls, the dotting of stars in the inky black sky will give you exactly what you need before heading back to civilization. Nature truly is the best. I'll be back to this campground again, no doubt.
