Nice casino with great restaurants to choose from. Ambience beautiful and the rooms were nicely adorned with top notch amenities. Upgraded to Executive King room. This hotel and casino is immaculately clean!

Mood- Weird Roadside Attractions I usually try to fit 36 hours into a 24 hour day. Especially if I am roadtripping. Yes we have a schedule, yes we have a destination, but sometimes you need to stop and smell the roses of life along the way or you might miss something. Thus this particular stop JOE Dirt - do you remember the movie? Originally built in the 40s as the Canyon Padre Trading Post. In 1955 The owner Mr. Griffith was hit by a car while weeding, and his injuries were pretty bad to where he had to sell it. The next set of owners The Troxell Family came up with the name Twin Arrows. As a nearby town was named Two Guns. They also added the Valentine diner and the gas station. The two wooden arrows were constructed and planted in the ground to guide the tourists to the front door. The diner was a prefabricated restaurant that was sold from Arthur Valentine out of Wichita Kansas during the 30s to 60s. These were made to look like railroad cars. They could seat 8-10 patrons at a time. ( talk about the original pop up restaurants right there ) In 1995 the attraction was like most, abandoned. Across the way is the new Casino. They spruced up the arrows in 2009 but nothing else has been done with the lot since. The grounds are now a graffiti artists paradise. The property is now owned by the State of Arizona. Would recommend -if your into history and checking out things from the past. Def wear closed toe shoes if you are going to go exploring thru the buildings as there is broken glass and broken up wood pieces everywhere. Location is 219 exit off of the I-40 - another great haunt off the Route 66

Have you seen the movie, "Joe Dirt"? This very place was used to shoot a scene in that movie. It has graffiti all over it and looks worse for wear than the freshly painted building in 2001. You can see these arrows just East of Flagstaff on I-40E, next to Route 66. It is about 35 miles away. You will drive past it and have to exit take take the side road a short ways back to it. It's kind of cool to see this. Two Arrows seemingly land close together in the middle of nowhere (or outside of the Trading Post). There is a Casino not far away called Twin Arrows Navajo Casino Resort. The Trading Post was a busy place in its' heyday! However, with the building of I-40, people didn't need to travel on Route 66, and the decline of travelers stopping in helped lead it to its demise. I don't know when the access to this place was blocked off, but now there are cement road barricades along the abandoned property. I just took my pictures from the car. I don't know if you are allowed to hop over and onto the property or not, so I didn't. If you plan to travel along here, stop by and take a look. It is listed in Roadside America as an attraction.

Not really worth the stop. One of the arrows is missing the arrow. The old buildings are still there. Kinda cool that they aren't fenced off.

As for as museum goes, the subject material isn't that interesting: it's about a random wealthy family. Imagine a 100 years into the future we have a museum about a random millionaire. Our tour guide, Marco, was fantastic and great at answering questions for our little group of 4. The mansion really is just a showcase of how a wealthy person's home from the early 1900's. You get a glimpse into their business and personal lives as well as the type of furniture employed in the household. The tour was interactive and nice. The self guided tour is just literally walking around the mansion so there isn't too much to see but it makes for a nice, short walk. Overall, I think that there are more interesting museums out there. But if you're looking for a super quiet museum to browse, this would be the place.

I called in person to try and transfer from my old place to the new place. Doing this with other utility companies was quite easy and could be done online with no problems. City of Flagstaff on the other had, was a bit more cumbersome. I checked the website and wasn't quite sure so I decided to call. When I finally got a ahold of someone the clerk/person working the phone line was very curt and kept cutting me off by telling me, 'yOu nEEd to AcTIVate a NEw aCCounT!!!!' I even tried to get in a question about not having to pay start up fees since I have never missed a payment ever and always pay on time. More curtness from the person. So, a month and a half later it seems all is well, until I get a bill from them from my old place. I call and let them know that I activated a new account and the person over the phone was again, not very helpful nor understanding. 'We're sorry, but there is nothing we can do about it; we don't do transfers and you should talk to your old landlord to pay it. Sorry that the person was curt to you, but we can't do anything about it.' (They really emphasized that they couldn't do anything about it.) It's one thing if I was being a jerk about it or if I dropped the ball with other utility companies and had a history of being delinquent with my payments, but to be told it was my fault when people were rude and unhelpful is just plain frustrating. Especially at a time when money is tight and I live in Flagstaff AZ. City of Flagstaff needs to work on customer service and a more transparent way of transferring services/utilities in town.

Although we only spent 45 minutes at a horseshoe Bend, we were able to take some awesome pictures and walk around. But definitely the highlight was Antelope Canyon. You can only go on a tour here with the Navajo guide and our guide Ray was fantastic. We spent about 1.5 hours at lower Antelope Canyon. He really made the tour fun, informative, and he took the best pictures. The photos do not do it justice. The experience was just unreal. Each term that we took we were in awe. The downside was our tour guide Brandon. Although he was very friendly, he didn't seem that knowledgeable. Maybe he was having an off day but there were a couple times that he stopped mid sentence while telling a fact and even ended a fun fact with blah blah blah to finish up his sentence. At one point, he even started chewing on a candy or something while hooked up to the microphone. This was really annoying. We still had a very great day just a couple things that didn't make it a five star experience. Did you have a lot of options for tours and their office is located centrally in the uptown area.
