This shop is the only shop I go to in San Jose for new pieces or anything smoke related in general, except maybe lighters, lol. Owner is super friendly and knowledgeable. A few months back I went with my girlfriend and we were looking to splurge on some new stuff. He answered all of our questions very thoroughly and was very accommodating towsrds our requests. We ended up buying quite a bit this visit and he even hooked it up with a few freebies! I've stopped in here a few times just to buy a cheap $3 item and he's still just as friendly and helpful. Quick to sell me vape battery with warranty but they don't actually honor the warranty LOL. I've had the battery for less than 3 months and it's been leaking. Tucked away in a generic strip mall off of Capitol Expressway, the Twilight Zone doesn't really advertise itself too loudly. But I'll be honest: out of all the smoke shops in the area, the name was why I chose this location. I grew up watching the Twilight Zone marathons on holidays, so I hold it near to my heart. Not to mention I got a kick out of hearing Siri say "finding directions to... The Twilight Zone". Heh heh. The shop itself is long and narrow, with an organized set-up. Incense and posters to the left upon entrance; sweet cigar humidifier on the right. Then come the posters, piercing paraphernalia, lighters, pipes, and down the line we go. I came here looking for a cheap e-cig to try out, being hesitant to spend big bucks on an online version only to find I don't care for the product. Lo and behold, the TZ had the Pure Smoke brand of e-cig, in both disposable and re-usable versions, with natural tobacco flavor and menthol flavor. (Amusingly, they also have e-hookas!) The guy behind the counter was laid back, intuitive, attentive, and clearly knowledgeable about all of their products. He didn't pressure us at all, but also knew what we might like. My partner was happy to find a quality selection of low-end and high-end cigars, as well as refills for his zippo that he's been wanting to get for months. We both walked out happy. I come in quite frequent with my girlfriend but today(4/3/15) at 2:50 I came in alone trying to purchase a 14in glass converter because I have an 18in water pipe and I only had 11 bucks going in hoping to get something small but ended up getting a really nice, sturdy converter and they told me not to worry about the difference. Awesome customer service as usual! Just came 5min ago and bought a replacement bowl! The owner was helping a customer fix her vape pen and he was trying his best! The vape smoke was coming out like crazy but the lady still said she felt that she wasn't inhaling the juice. She finally left and said some nasty things. The owner apologized to us when we paid at the front! We told him to not worry about it just because we did see ALOT of vape come out of her pen and we knew she didn't know what she was talking about. She didn't even clean her own vape pen for 2 months and the owner helped her clean it and replace one of the parts for free! The owner was super nice and ended up adding a mini piece to our purchase because they started the 5stars reward card! (Also, because I purchased a big piece from them in January!) Bad experience this evening. The owner knew I caught him overcharging on a well known product, about 40% above retail value. He acted like a child and was very unprofessional. I contacted the company that manufactures the product and told them about how much he is overcharging the customers. The two young guys that work there are very nice, and are very helpful. Omg...! Absolutely love this place. I have found a new spot to go for my juices. Jordan the owner was great. I came in with a problem with my current tank and he did not have any issues with trying to help fix it even though I did not purchase my device from him. After he was unable to fix my tank he suggested a tank for me that would work for me and not break my bank! He changed my tank, showed me how to use it, replace the coil, and utilize my other little pieces with my tank. He also provided me with a new juice that's San Jose based! If you're a hookah person, this should be your go-to place. They have almost anything you need, and the gentleman who works there is awesome. He is always there so I'm assuming he is the owner, but he's always extremely helpful and clearly very knowledgeable about his products. The tobacco is very well priced in comparison to some other shops in the area. I went in to get a new base for my hookah and he had showed me all his Khalil Mamoon hookahs in the back and told me to pick any base I wanted. He had the exact one I was looking for!
