Some can call me cheap but I look at it as saving the plant by keeping things out of the landfill. I lived on 7th Ave for years back before Asbury became the hip "ICONIC MIDCENTURY FIND" at over priced "thrift stores". Anyway I saw this place in passing and said I'm running in maybe they will have what I needed. Mind blown as soon as I walked in. It's what a Thrift Store was 10 years ago. I approached a gentleman (so kind) named tom and asked for assistance finding what I needed. He didn't have it on the floor and searched the back real quick. AND FAST FORWARD 3 mins HE BROUGHT MW WHATCI NEEDED IN HAND!!!!! I was a little snotty bc I'm not a fan of Black and Decker, but I'll say this, bc he looked for it out of his was, I'll keep it forever. And appreciate the story behind it. Not only that ALL of the proceeds go to assisting the less privileged. Not the fake our name is "GOODWILL" so assume we are giving back. I know some of the corporate heads at that company (Goodwill) and what I have seen them do with their upscale donations would make most not even think of going back. Beyond 501c3 corruption. Anyway I want to let this review express how glad I am that I was in a panic today to find a tool.... If I wasn't I would have never gone there. Now I'm sure I'll be a regular. I only glanced at the clothing and accessories and I'm kind of a label person and I saw beautiful pieces. It's big also. It's not Like Habitat. It's kind of like what habitat used to be 10 years ago. So to thrifters out there CHECK IT OUT. AND TO THE COMPANY; you need to give your employe JASON a gold star. He is kind to everyone and runs around that place to help everyone he can. Colleen was very helpful and friendly. The delivery guys were both courteous, Anthony was great with getting everything setup where we wanted it and making sure we were happy with it. All of the employess that assisted us were polite and helpful with looking the table over and arranging delivery that arrived the very next day. In addition, they also took away our high-top table that is now on consignment there Overall, extremely pleased with the customer service and care from the staff at this location. We will definitely be stopping in again to see what new items are for sale.

The clothing is kind of sorted by size, however from my experience there are many random sizes stuck in the incorrect area, so it really felt like one of the goodwills that aren't organized by size. Theres a decent book section, a large clothing section (mostly women's) and a large home goods section with some pieces of furniture. I found the home goods to be very disorganized compared to other goodwill locations I've visited. There were some nice dishes but it felt very picked over and was in disarray. This isn't a location I will visit again.

The staff is bare bones & can be very busy at times with set design folks from the entertainment industry. They don't have the capacity to respond to inquiries via social media, so an in person visit is necessary (and lots of fun!). Be patient. Just do your digging and take photos of what you are interested in with your phone. The shop operates in a brocante style (like if you've ever watched Dick & Angel shop for architectural salvage in France on "Escape to the Chateau"). You show your photos to the shop owner Carolyn at the main checkout and she comes up with a price for your selections. I know it seems weird, but when you see the shop you will understand that there is no way in h*ll they could possibly put individual prices on everything. This is not Facebook marketplace and the pricing for some items will reflect this shop's proximity to NYC. The owner's passion and commitment to recycling and repurposing just about everything from a wide variety and time periods is admirable. I was able to find a perfect match for my 1890's porch door thanks to their collection of treasures. Payment is cash or Venmo.
