Let me just tell you, this place is a gem and worth a road trip if you don't live in the area. People who visit the area should put this place on their to do list, and if you live locally you will want to visit often. When we arrived in downtown Freeport the Lucy Goose was easy to find and free street parking is plentiful! When we walked in, we were greeted by the owners who are still hard at work making this store all it can be and more. The store is a nice blend of old and new, with clothes, jewelry, glassware, linens, furniture. There are items you will want for yourself and wonderful gift opportunities as well. At the back of this space you will find ROC's, where delicious treats await!!! At this time they are serving soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts. They do have lite, continental breakfast options as well. This venue is so new that the kitchen is still being built. Once finished there are plans for a full menu and dinner hours. I've been buying from these people for years, and now since I live outside of the area, I have to plan to visit on return trips. Simply put, the selection of items they have from housewares to clothing to furniture is one of the better assortments I've seen anywhere. It's not too much since the floor space isn't all that expansive, but it certainly is one of the better selections around town. Another competing resale shop in the area is cluttered and filled with the overhanging odor of at least a decade of cigarrette smoke. Luckily that's not the case here.
