The prices here are less... but not exactly what I thought I'd find at a thrift store. I did like the Christian music playing. Totally my jam. The variety of items here was good. I found some children's books for .50 each. Toys are sold according to weight (???) Tons of DVDs, household items, clothing, etc. The main thing I didn't like was the attitude of one of the workers. I found a dresser that I was interested in but it didn't have a price sticker. So I asked one of the workers and he rattled off $69.99 without even looking at the one I wanted. Then we walked over there and he was like, "You wanted this little one, right? It's $69.99." I'm sorry but $70 for a USED dresser with scratches and whatnot seems HIGH (Better than Salvation Army's $200 ones but still, $70 is high). Regardless, his attitude just seemed so arrogant. Didn't sit well with me. BUT, the silver lining is that I did find a pair of $170 Rock Revival jeans for $6.99. I'll come back.

I do everything big, I want everything big, I want it over the top or I don't want it at all. This place GETS ME. Everywhere you look there's something new to see, something new to delight over, something spectacular and wonderful and unexpected and just fucking amazing. I went to Round Top this year for their spring antique show and there were so many vendors and so many things to look at, but this was my absolute favorite place and I stayed there for over an hour just wandering around in complete and utter awe. You must go. You absolutely must.

March 25, 2023…read more Punkie's wasn't on Yelp until today the 25th; I told Diane Conlee (the owner) that I'd add her shop to Yelp so she'd get more foot traffic during the antique show. This shop is filled with old, new and handmade items such as lamps, light fixtures, jewelry , clothes, furniture, bedding, art work done by her sister, Patti. I bought a tea towel that mimics one of Patti's paintings; too cute. I bought a yellow bandana with hand stitched flowers. Diane had on a green bandana and this unusual silver tie for it. I had her explain what it was... it's an antique sterling silver tomato spoon that Diane had a silversmith hand forge into the shape - it's way cool and no 2 are alike; I was sold! $110 each This shop is so very colorful and so soo cute. The wallpaper is retro, and it's all throughout the shop. She's got the best light fixtures hanging everywhere from days gone by...the chairs and couches are retro and eclectic. The home Punkie's is in is historical; aka Nessie mansion. I'm not sure if Diane lives in the second story or what... it's off limits. I didn't ask her if this business is open all the time or just twice a year for a month during the spring/fall antique show that's held in the area during those times. There's a ton of stuff... So I'm thinking it's open year round. Either way...now, y'all will know to check this place out when in Round Top TX Support small business Call, text or email
