All they do is scream throughout the day. Sometimes the screaming is blood-curdling. I once had a visiting relative comment on this and they thought that the students were being attacked in some way. They weren't joking and were genuinely concerned to the point they thought we should contact law enforcement. I had to remind them that they do this every day, it continues after school in the after-school programs. Once, as I was going for a walk by the school, a student, possibly separated from his gym class made a very crude and offensive sexual remark at me (an adult) relating to oral. There were zero adults present and I had no idea how to report this as I was very far from the entrance of the school which is on Firestone. Not very long ago, about 2-3 months ago, a lone student behind the fence was just yelling, "n-er, n-er!!!" repeatedly for close to two minutes straight. The parents are self-entitled. They will block your driveway when it's time to pick up a child. They have been in my own experience combative and aggressive. In the mornings, the parents will play their corridos and Banda music very loud in a residential area. There is a female teacher who uses her megaphone throughout the day to talk to her students during what sounds like gym period. She is the only teacher I hear! It becomes such a nuisance as I work from home. This school makes it very difficult to complain as there are no online forms to fill out, no way to submit any sort of documentation. If I call, they tell me I could only file a complaint in person during school hours and where's the time for that? In this day and age where it's easier to access things via the internet, you still have to go in person. I have lived by this school for decades. This is far from a decent school. It needs a lot of improvement and consideration for the residents that live around it. (For some reason this review shows I am located in San Francisco. I live and currently am located in South Gate.)

If any problems arise, they tell you through email rather than calling you directly which is asinine because not everyone operates by emails! This school is piss poor at best! UPDATE 6/8/22: Called and spoke to the school last week pertaining to culmination. The *genius* that answered told us tickets were not being issued and that they recommend 3 members of the family attend but they weren't capping off anyone. I had my mother drive a long distance to see her only grandson culminate only for my son to come home with 3 tickets today!!!!!!!!!!!!! So that means not only will his grandmother have to stay home but his other siblings will have to stay home too.. No one knows what they're talking about at this school!! They constantly give misleading information, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing, it's the blind leading the blind. My brother is a dean at another school within LAUSD and even he can't believe the way this school handles itself. IF YOU HAVE THE OPTION, TAKE YOUR KID TO ANY OF THE SURROUNDING SCHOOLS!!!!!!!!!!! This one will only give you a headache and sit back while they watch your kid fail!!!

They have done major reconstruction on some of the buildings, as well as their staff parking lot. I always wondered as to why they didn't do these changes while I was here. I remember many of the teachers and administrators that were here while I attended. Chances are many of them no longer reside here! They have great academic programs, as well as honors programs.
