My son is 5 he was assigned to Ms Kissell. We were very…read moreanxious for him to start public school, unfortunately we had such a bad experience, even after reading the "good" reviews this school had. My son would come home with bruises continuously during his second week at school he would tell us that he fell in the playground and no one came to assist him. One incident he told us that when he fell a kid stepped on his forehead while he was on the ground and again no one helped him. When we would pick him up from school no one mentioned anything to us not the teacher, not the assistant nor the lady by the gate. A simple "Hey your son fell in the playground, we took him to the nurse office he is fine" Something so simple is all I needed. The first 2 days I let it slide until he kept saying that he got another ouchy from the school. After getting fed up I messaged Ms Kissell asking her if she knew about the bruises he was coming home with and she told me that she knew he had the bruises and yet she did not tell me anything. She had told me that my son is responsible to let the adults know. Keep in mind that my son is 5, the recess assistants should be outside doing their job instead of gossiping. I proceeded to post on the Facebook Downey group for advice from other parents. Right away I got someone reporting my post and the next day received a phone call from the principal asking me to take down the post and questioning me if my son is telling the truth. I will always believe my son 100% The school district sadly does not care about your children.

I'm grateful that my best friend has kids in the theater. I love that I get invited to come see these shows. What a production ! I don't even remember them having theater before. Now they have plays all year long. It's amazing. I love watching it thinking one day when they're famous they're gonna remember these days. It all started here Downey ! This rendition of Greece was amazing! I had so much fun. I can't wait to go to the next one.

Oh my god i was a student here and never seen so many fights, vapes, bullying, bad kids, and even…read moreso staff that are rude first a girl blew a firework in the girls locker room and hurt 2 girls also if student try to sell snacks they get them taken away another thing I saw a lot of were fights lots and brutal. Also some staff are rude and disrespectful towards students and not dropping names but they know who they are and staff don't pay attention to anything and are kinda understaffed to how big the campus is it's kinda embarrassing not going to lie. Also many kids vape in the bathrooms and a girl sold vapes in the restroom as well. another thing is people are super nasty and make out all over the place or grab each other inappropriately and staff don't even say or do anything which is unprofessional. The school also ignores bullying and it's so so sad to see also people record or take pictures of other people and post them online. one last thing is the defo program and its fun but some teachers like MS. HAILEY NEED TO GET FIRED because they are rude to some people and it's just awful and hopefully gets fired so just some defo staff are rude not all of them (mine was so kind and funny)

Second Review on Harmony Elementary School…read more Nice school on the outside and there are some nice teacher's but very few. When one covering for an Assistant tries to reach out for help. One has to deal with teacher's and personnel covering up "sketchy" situations when one tries to relate a concern on a student. The personnel of this school finds something to blame on one. And let's one eat whatever the school finds and doesn't care on the wellbeing of one if the teacher and personnel covering their own "sketchy" situations causes the one who is an outsider to be "Separated." The personnel of this school only cares about the school's spirit and the fanciness of the school. As far as some of the teacher's go, there are very few who give the time of day and actually care about their student's. The Assistant's, Sub Assistant's, Recess Aid's, Helper's, Volunteer's and as well as one's to whom ever else that I might have missed on this list who work or cover at this school suffer because of Personnel and certain teacher's trying to maintain an image. REGRET BIG TIME COVERING FOR THIS SCHOOL!!! All those who are about to take on a job here. Please be aware. Oh, and anyone who post's review's for this school is alway's the first to review because either websites that are Linked for this school don't want others to find out the truth.

My daughter has been in a constant fight with this school to get her son what he needs and all she gets is excuses and her son is made the problem child. As an autistic child he has needs and the principle ms. Hennessy put blame on the child. He is being bullied by students and the principal. My grandson has sensory issues with noise yet he cannot wear headphones during assemblies with high noise levels. He has issues with students hitting him and yet nothing is done. The worst school ever. Don't enroll any special needs child in this school. You will have problems big time.

It's so important when you're a teenager to be able to express yourself, especially in a creative way . Unfortunately, I wasn't able to record anything, but I give this production five stars to every single person that had something to do with this show bravo bravo bravo!
