The school is diverse with students of all backgrounds. There is a huge field for sports. As part of the curriculum, students are allowed to work in order to gain experience. The work days are on Fridays and they are dropped off at their employer's office and picked up at the end of the day and returned to school. This is a great way for students to gain experience and begin building a strong work ethic as well as a great resume. Because this is an all boy's school, events with other schools (all girl's) are held. Such events include dances through out the year. Verbum Dei is a great alternative for families who want to guarantee their child's success and who want to ensure that their student will get the most out of their education in a low-income area.
