So much favoritism in this school! If you're not friends with the right teacher you get different…read morerules. They say dress code is for everyone but let their favorite students slide while others get called out daily. Some of the staff are VERY rude to students and their parents. Certain students get privileges that others don't by being "favorites" of certain admin. I've been in this school for 3 years and it has been this way since. The school itself isn't bad but the staff need attitude adjustments they expect respect but give nothing in return. One teacher in particular told me I was going to fail a class based on my appearance and told my sibling the same thing. This teacher is a PE teacher and prefers athletic students over athletically challenged students. He talked about me to a friend behind my back multiple times. Some of these teachers say and do whatever they want because they won't get in trouble or students are afraid to speak up because they will get treated differently in that period. This school needs some fixing although I do agree that academically it is a very good school but it is not a place where you can feel safe to be yourself.

I was happy that it was over and not having to see all the fights and incompetent staff just standing there, never helping me with any of my problems and non-existence counselors. No joke in 7th grade. I had only one teacher (Jose Tafoya) and was stuck with 4 other students. This is all because I was complaining to faculty every day about my experience with this school and how I was treated instead of getting actual classes. I felt like I was reduced to nothing. My time was wasted, I was worthless, I made no friends ,and throughout my whole experience with this school, I learned nothing. I can't say or remember anything I learned at this school because of all the harassment I would receive from students and staff Even my language skills class (which I had to take in 8th even though that should have been completed in 7th grade) was a nightmare and I felt so sorry for Hector Garcia (teacher) he was harassed almost every day from his students (it was also a half special ed class but most were mentally capable) I wish that he quits teacher there as I feel like that school isn't for him he was good its just that he was never given a chance. The only other good teacher I had was Susana Montano, who actually made history enjoyable and was challenging which was a positive considering that almost every class up until then was a pushover that class was rewarding and was one of the lucky few to pass with an A. Some last things that really annoyed me were the student package for us during 8th grade. Most events were canceled, and when COVID hit, we got a $20 refund even though the price was around $80 or so. The uniform policy was fine, but when they made us wear specific pants (no jeans) and tags that had our info to identify, well, the lines were long and universal panned by everyone (from what I heard they changed the policy on pants after COVID so any pants are acceptable as well as the tags only applying to 8th graders but I could be wrong) Overall, I hope this school shuts down.

The new murals and hallway college banners are awesome. This year my daughter participated in an awesome SBAC parade! It has been a great year. I feel we should have pride for our community and school and not post negative comments. I'm sad to read that someone would say negative remarks about the school. I have not had the same experience. I have always been greeted and helped at the office. I wonder if the person who wrote the previous review had a badge or the dog had a service dog tag or label. Keep up the good work!!! Go RAMS!!!

Ms. Anaya gave detention to their students over a small thing which is not the reasons but she decided to gave the detention instead of communications. Also, she gave the detention to the whole student in her class for no reason, like I say probably over small things but has to communicate and she didn't. I was her student once, she assuming me lying while I'm telling the truth, Anaya lied to my parents that she will apologize to me but never did. Ms anaya has made my life fall apart and has also made me have traume from her. The trauma still haunt me to this days. My friends was suffering also, being in her class was not easy. The students who is there (6th - 8th) can't stand up for themselves. Some students who is in her class this year, has also told me everything and they has also has the same problem and did the bad habit that is not normal like I did. For example, crying almost everyday because of Ms Anaya, always have anxiety, have depression, etc.. Ms Anaya has also get mad over small things and can give detention easily. Anaya always close the door and start yelling at us because she don't want other students and staff to hear her yelling. For example as Anaya yelled/get mad, students forgot their hearing devices, not doing homework, coming to school late, students not listening for a few seconds, etc.. Anaya has also sent the students to the office for no reasons and over small things instead of communications. During when I was a student in Ms Anaya's class, I always tell every details to my parents about her, my parents has also complaint about her actions. My parents has many meetings with Anaya and she was lying to my parents which could lead to my parents get more anger. The common is which is the most of the students' relate to the same experience and same situation has relate. To anyone whose is viewing, please don't send your disability (deaf, hard of hearings) child to this school, it has made our life trauma and miserable that could lead us into bad habits that is not normal of 100%. One word for St Rose of Lima & the Catholic Church .... CROOKS…read more I'm a catholic but I don't appreciate the Catholic Church taking advantage of people when people are in need of the church. When my father passed, we went to our Catholic Church to have a priest at his funeral. The church forced us to donate (CHARGED) $400 or they wouldn't send a priest. I thought a donation was something we decided to give? Why call it a donation if you're forcing me to give a set amount? Just call it what it is, a fee you're charging for your service. I requested multiple times to speak to the head priest and he refused. The Catholic Church is a business that only cares about profits. They don't care about their followers, just the money. Anytime you need their help or services they charge a hefty fee, and of course, you're in need due to the situation so you pay. To me, it's not about the money, I don't mind paying you but call it what it is ... a FEE. This is wrong, donations shouldn't be a set amount. What if I couldn't afford to pay your set donation? You would of refused to provide help. The Catholic Church was very clear, donate $400 or no priest would attend my father's funeral.
