its hard for me to give 5 stars to any drycleaner. However I am giving one here. Do they do a perfect job - NO. However they do a pretty darn good one. the great things about these guys, however, is the pickup and delivery service. you pretty much just leave things out on your front porch on either a tuesday or a friday and they drop your clothes off the next visit. Their driver has consistently come over - 5th time - to solicit business. I already use another dry cleaning service and have told this person multiple times that I am not interested. Today again he persistently said what do you have to lose, just try and compare? To which my response was, I am happy with my current service, no thanks. Then, he started giving attitude saying, who the F do you think you are? I asked him to get off my property or I will call the police. Then he said, go ahead and call! And more profanity. My husband is usually dressed in suits every day so this is super convenient and easy for me to get his outfits cleaned and ready hassle free! After being a loyal customer for years, and spending thousands of dollars with this company, I can now say I cannot ever endorse them based on my experience today. My debit card was lost 6 days ago so I ordered a new one. I mistakenly did not update all of my accounts (dry cleaners are not exactly top of mind), and when they tried to run it on the 1st it was declined. An email was sent but got caught in my secondary folders. I never saw it. They sent me a text yesterday. Again, I didn't see it because it looked to me like the texts they send when they asking about pickup. At this point it had been 4 days, and only 2 business days. Today I got another text- less than 24 hours after the last one. It threatened me with legal action if I didn't pay. This was after only 5 days and 3 business days and they send me a text that says: "We have been attempted to contact you regarding balance on your account, but no answer from you. In result, your account will be served in legal action and you will be charges for additional legal fees." That's verbatim -- grammar, spelling errors and all. No one called. No letter was received. I called the number provided and they couldn't help me. They were going to escalate immediately and have a manager reach out. No one called. So today I paid them their $40 and never want to deal with them ever again. Absolutely disgusting. read more

I moved to Princeton from New York for a few months, and had difficulty finding a place to get my shirts washed and ironed. Until I ran into Tweeds, which was better than I could have imagined. They pick up and deliver, for free, at my place, do an excellent work respecting the fabric of the shirts, have good customer service (immediately fixed a small pricing error), and are quite affordable for the service they provide ($2.09/shirt incl. tax, a bargain by NY standards). We have used tweeds for at least 10years, they make the dry cleaning task so convenient. No in and out of the car, parking etc., they pick up and are always timely. This past week they went above and beyond for us. Our daughter moved into the city and they picked up her dry cleaning off schedule at our house and turned it around in 24 hours so that we could bring it to her on our visit to the city. Morristown, Lost 1 suit and 1 suit pant on 2 separate occassions! The first I finally found because the person they delivered it to tracked me down and called me, I was able to pick it up. I should have stopped using Tweeds then, but continued. The 2nd. they misplaced the pants to a suit, I had to call them 4 times over a month before they were able to track them. They delivered them to me with a tag on them that they were damaged and couldn't be cleaned. I did not send them in that way. The entire front section had what looked like a water stain on them. I took them to another dry cleaner who thankfully was able to get them clean. So I paid for them twice. When I called Tweeds to let them know and left a message, no one ever called me back. USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! First few shirts they damaged were just buttons, they fixed them no charge, no harm no foul. While pressing a $250.00 Theory shirt they burned the crease right through the sleeve. I had my wife call them, they said send it to us. Sent to them and they denied it was them, said there barcode was not on the shirt, you can clearly see the barcode residue from where it was. After much banter back and forth they offered a discount towards my next order, like i would use them again. Considering small claims court on principal, definitley telling my neighbors about my experience. Accidents happen it is what you do with them. I would have kept them using them for $1,000-$1500 a year in dry cleaning. Bad business. read more

So, unfortunately Tweeds didn't work out for us. Shortly after I wrote my initial review, my husband noticed his shirts weren't fitting as well around the neck or cuff. We didn't pay much attention at first - but then this issue started affecting more and more of his shirts to a degree that they became uncomfortable, even impossible, to wear. He hasn't gained weight, so we dug out the tape measure and took a look. Sure enough, nearly every shirt laundered by Tweeds this year has shrunk, some more than others. These are not new shirts (I know some shrinkage is expected in new shirts). These shirts were laundered successfully for years at our local dry cleaner before we made the switch to Tweeds. I can not explain this, except to suggest that perhaps something in their process is not consistent from laundry cycle to laundry cycle. Some shirts have shrunk more than others (all of them are custom-made shirts, so they should have the same measurements). We stopped using Tweeds months ago, and after their delivery guy asked me, twice, why we never had any laundry out any more, I wrote a letter to the company and attached it to one of their laundry bags. The bag, and the letter, were picked up by Tweeds on October 5. I expected Tweeds to at least reach out to express concern over this matter. But we have not heard from them, either in response to my letter or over the fact that we have not done business with them in months. Very disappointing, but not overly surprising from a company that aims to have as little client interaction as possible. read more

My dry cleaning was delivered 1 week ago (5/13/16) with the pants of a 2-piece suit missing. I called that evening and the following morning to alert them to this issue. I received a call back on 5/16/16. I was notified that the pants went for alterations although I did not request any alterations. I was assured that the pants would be delivered on 5/17/16. The pants were not delivered as promised so I called again on 5/18/16. I have not yet received any reply as of today (5/20/16). read more
