The office is rundown and dingy, and doctor Twe always runs late. Here's why that gets five stars: She is the most caring, involved physician I've ever met, and she spends whatever amount of time is required to ensure that she covers all your questions and concerns. As a result, she doesn't see 80 patients a day for three minutes a hit. Because she doesn't churn and burn, she probably earns very little money, which means that her office isn't steel and glass and decorated by a fancy designer. And because she's spending as much time with the last patient as she will with you, you'll not see her at your scheduled appointment time. Also, if you're hurting, she'll cram you in, no matter how overbooked she is. Totally worth it. I bring a book, and get quality time with a great doc. Love her! Also: She does follow-up phone calls to ensure that you're feeling better after a visit. That's almost as rare as house calls. Which she'd probably also do if she could possibly figure out a way to make it happen. read more

I hope Juan F. keeps his review up, because he describes the office perfectly. So let me reiterate. 1.) The office is rundown. 2.) Dr. Twe is usually running late. Sure, you might get a negative vibe by hearing those two things as I have worded them. But please let me address why these two things are trivial. This place deserves no less than five stars. Sure, the office isn't anything fancy, but it doesn't need to be. All it needs to be is healthy, clean, have sufficient space for patients, and have enough space for equipment. Those things are, of course, covered. But that's not the reason why I'm writing all of this. Sure, sometimes Dr. Twe will run late, but that's also trivial when compared with the fact that every time I have seen her, she has given me the time and attention I need to ask her questions about my health and have a very complete check-up. My health issues were scaring me last time I was there and Dr. Twe took the time to make sure I left without any lingering worries. We went ahead with treatments and she was extremely helpful. She will even give mental and physical health tips that are straight forward and easy to follow even if you were there only asking about one thing. One example of something she does that not many other doctors have done for me is stop what they are doing right away if they know that something will take very little time to do. She has done this twice in recent memory. Once for paperwork/prescriptions so that I could come in and get out the door quickly. And the other was when she had other appointments going, but needed to check my blood pressure. She would just stop what she was doing and make sure I was taken care of. Naturally I felt great when my Doctor dropped everything just to attend to something I needed done. And I will gladly wait the extra few minutes it takes to see her because of things like this. If she can give me and all her patients this kind of attention and honest care, I don't care if I have to give up a few minutes of my day. Don't be fooled by the building. Don't let the wait bother you. They will take care of you here. read more

This is not a place I would recommend going to. I have a knee problem and all I wanted was a diagnosis or a referral. Instead what I got is questions about why I am not going to church and why I should read the bible. All of this came before we even started talking about my knee. No one goes to the doctor looking for spiritual advice. We just want a diagnosis. I don't recommend going here unless you want a refresher course on souls, the bible, and the afterlife. Our family of 4 have been patients of Dr Twe over 20+ years. We have always found her to be very caring, personable, and always thorough taking the needed time with us. My husband & I both went through a surgery where she called us at home to see how we were doing; this always meant a lot to us as her patient. There were times I waited a while for her to get to me, but I was forgiving because I knew I would get the time I needed with her as well. Dr Twe has been a special part of our family for many years & she recently retired. IF YOU WANT TO BE ASKED ABOUT YOUR RELIGION, EDUCATION, AND HEAR A COMMENT REGARDING YOUR PRIVATE PARTS WHEN ALL YOU WANT IS TO GET A PHYSICAL COME TO DR. TWE, SUI IN KENT, WA First of all I'm in my late 20's and I don't know about all the other gals but getting a physical is not something I look forward too. Getting fully naked and seen by a stranger, just the thought of it makes me cringe. I still made an appointment to be seen at 9am, after nearly 2hrs of questioning and the Dr coming in and out of my room this was the longest most uncomfortable Dr's appointment EVER. It was awful, finally after she was done asking me about my history (which is normal) she also asked me about my religion & if I went to church & my education. Which have absolutely nothing do do with a physical she made me feel so uncomfortable. At first I thought she's just making small talk, but no it got so awkward I just wanted to run out of there. Finally she asked me to undress and I was waiting for her FOREVER to finish this dreading physical, everything about this place was AWFUL it took her almost 3 hours to do the physical and finally when I was about to walk out she put the cherry on top judging me for taking medication that she didn't approve of for whatever reason, SHES NOT MY DAMN Psychiatrist. She was telling me what I should be taking and yelling at me and all this was happening in front of her staff, it was embarrassing. She just went too far, and the staff there look like they're mad at the world. This place didn't make me feel comfortable at all, do yourself a favor go somewhere else and really do your research. I left calling my husband in tears because I thought I was a bad person for not being able to find a job, yes she even grilled me of why I didn't work. I've worked since I was 16 I just moved to Kent so it takes time to find a GREAT JOB OMG I should've cursed her out but I didn't. I can get past the run down office, running late by at least 30 minutes and I can even get past listening to Dr. Twe reprimand her employees in front of patients. I can also get past her reprimanding me for not using contraceptives although I have been married to the same man for over 10 years and welcome the chance for children. What I can not get over is the fact that each visit my chart has been mixed up and after hearing someone else's issues I ask if she has the right chart. Once the correct chart is located she acts as though I am a new patient and never bothers to read the chart. Instead of giving a professional opinion on continuing my health she seems to leave that up to me to decide, isn't that what I am paying you for? She is very contradictory in her diagnosis and thinks I am on medications that I have never been prescribed. Bottom line I believe she needs to retire before she makes a serious mistake. I saw she had good reviews so I went to her because I haven't been felling well and I needed a check up.. I've been vomiting, she asked if it was to lose weight. I said "no, I'm not worried about losing weight", she said "You should be". I get it, I am a little over weight and I started exercising and eating healthier before I saw her. It was rude, but I the truth hurts sometimes. Then she asked me about my parent's, my father isn't in my life because he was abusive. After, she asked about my religion, it was none of her business but I answered her. I'm an athiest, she said it was because my father isn't in my life. Honestly, that's just a stupid theory. I respect people's religious beliefs and I expect people to respect my lack of. It didn't end there. She made a comment about my hair being short and my gages and said she doesn't understand why girls want to look like boys and vise versa. I'm feminine, I like how I look with short hair opposed to long. That's not all folks. She asked about my boyfriend, we've been in a relationship for 5 months and we're active. To doctor Twe though, my mother and abusive father would be disappointed in me for making an adult decision. As for the medical end. The equipment is out dated, she said I was throwing up from stress when I told her I don't feel stressed. She based my weight off of an outdated BMI chart. So overall, I'm not going back. She spent a while with me, but I rather have an in and out doctor than someone who's going to make me feel insecure. read more

This "doctor" is not at all helpful. The doctor spent less than 15 minutes with me so i sat in the room alone for lengthy periods while she went between patients and phone calls. When I did receive her attention I explained that I was there for an establish care check up and to get a refill on my contraceptives. Instead of proper medical advice upon my request for a refill for my pill I was interrogated about my sexual life and I do not mean the typical questions I was literally interrogated and accused of multiple sexual partners. I was told I should hurry up and marry my partner and start a family. I was asked about my religious affiliations, asked if I owned a bible, and an invitation to visit her church was extended to me. The doctor also assured me that I was too overweight for diet and exercise to help and that i should seek surgery since I clearly had "a good enough job I could afford it.". When my patience wore thin I simply asked for the refill of my prescription to which she again started in about marriage and family. At my insistence she gave me a 2 month refill, (mind you most doctors give you a year long prescription) and told me I should come back in a few months but "she could see from my expression that I probably wasn't going to return".This was literally the worst doctors visit I ever experienced. I felt terrible after the whole ordeal and confided in my family in friends, I was encouraged to report her but i knew that since it was her practice not much would happen. So I have warned people away from this terrible doctor. Planned parenthood is literally next door and they actually treat you with respect and listen to you wishes. also A note I tried to file a complaint against the doctor with my insurance company at the time to have her removed from their listings but I was simply ignored my visit was back in 2014, I have not returned since. read more

Avoid at all cost! No medical advice, opinion or training for or from this "m.d".... just unwarranted/unwelcomed spiritual guidance. When you walk in with a medical problem and literally her only response is "do you go to church and do you read the Bible?" At that point you realize you've made a terrible mistake. Definitely go elsewhere as she lends no medical assistance whatsoever. She'll give you a prescription for Jesus but not much in the way of diagnosis or remedy for actual physical ailments. I'm not convinced she's a licensed medical practitioner and in the event that she actually is a medical practitioner then anyone of us could hand out a bible and be a medical practitioner. Insanity. Absolute insanity. Be religious if that's you're thing, it's none of my business but for christ sake, if someone goes to a doctor for a medical problem and you claim to be a medical doctor there's a reasonable expectation a medical doctor have some sort of medical opinion and course of action, even if it's only a referral to an actual doctor. She is no way a real doctor. There just no way. Jesus freak yes, doctor no. If you have a broken arm praying isn't going to heal the broken arm only the practice of medical expertise will. You will NEVER find a doctor who will care and fight for her patients more than Dr. Twe. Period.

I have been a patient of hers for the last 25 years and most recently I have been receiving the worst patient to physician service from her staff. I have received better treatment from McDonald's. I have tried to reach the doctor on numerous occasion to refill my prescription but the staff finds a way of ignoring my request. This is not how you would treat a patient in a medical need. Wow... She's more than a doctor if you expect to just walk in and spend 5 minutes with the nurse and 2 minutes speaking with an overworked doc this isint the place for you. If you're looking for the perfect combination of modern medicine mixed with holistic and spiritual attributes then there's no better place. I think I read 1 review about how they didn't like how spiritual/religious she was. And I could understand how someone without an open mind that could be somewhat troubling, it is a bit startling and different. But she spent two hours of her time talking to me about how in addition to medication I could help myself. And because of my background in psychology I knew what she was saying was legit I am surprised that she knew some of the things that she told me being a MD and not a psychologist/ psychiatrist. And I think someone mentioned her office isn't super nice I just want the best care possible in a safe environment and that's what this place is. Even though I have insurance I'm still unsure how much they're going to cover of her feet so that somewhat troublesome but I don't care... And not once did she ever mention money she does this because it makes her feel good and she feels this is her identity and roll on earth and I can only commend that. I have been through countless psychiatrist who try to tell me how to feel she is so easy to talk to I explained to her everything I was feeling and where its origin was from. She's excellant. I would highly recommend but do not expect to come into the office and jump back out. One of the only doctors that I met in my life that I felt truly cared about me and my condition it almost seems like she would help me out if I wasn't paying her a dime which now days is absolutely insane. If you are hurting she will see you the next day or the same day. How many doctors have said oh I can't see you until next week or next month or even 90 days.
