Really fun tour and super informative!…read more Great for big group or small groups. We had 4 people in our party but the tour total was about 25 people & by the end of the tour we had gotten to know everyone and were all friends. At least half of our tour were locals from NY which right off the bat was a great sign this isn't your typical touristy thing. Such a great activity to do with out of town friends b/c It feels like a local secret, you learn a lot about the history of beer in NYC, and you drink a lot of tasty beer. We went on the Express Tour. I cannot wait to go on the regular tour next time!

A few months later after I took his tour, I saw Kenny Kramer at the ballet in Lincoln Center. He loves New York City and the Arts as much as I do! As for the tour, you first see a film about Seinfeld in a tiny theater, and then Kramer introduced all his merchandise, including an "Assman" license plate and some T-shirts. Then you board a bus and play Seinfeld trivia and tour the various sites made famous by the show. Then, you go to the Soupman stand and while in line, Kenny Kramer poses for photos with you. I got the Jambalaya, of course, because Newman liked it.

It was such a hoot hearing Kramer tell us about his personal experiences being neighbors and friends with Larry David (real life George). He told us many stories about Larry David, and about real life events that made it onto the tv show. The tour starts out a local theater with a warm-up comedy act and then Kenny Kramer is introduced. He told us about the show, his involvement with the show and how he launched the tour, and then got right on with his entrepreneurial ways, and began pitching his many different products he sells. It was quite funny -- life imitating art! He sells a wide variety of creative gift items and apparel. Our budget was tight so we skipped on that, but he was signing items as well. Then on the bus, Kramer led us around the city showing us many spots featured on the show and real life spots like his apartment building he shared with Larry David. There's also a pit stop at the original Soupman location which the Soup Nazi episode was based on. It's just a soup stand, but boy is the soup marvelous. Kenny Kramer also poses for pictures here! We got an awesome picture with him in front of the place,. He's really nice, and signed our tour pamphlet and posed for photos. He's quite funny too and the anecdotes he shares really make the tour. This is an absolute must for Seinfeld fans!

We stopped at several attractions and would walk for about 10 minutes max at each. If you are unable to walk, I would still go, you could stay close to the bus if needed. The tour also included a comfortable ferry boat ride to see the Statue of Liberty. There is plenty of food and beverage opportunities and a few planned bathroom breaks. The tour even provided bottled water.

I specifically chose the JC port because it takes you around the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island (two attractions I don't visit too often). Whereas the Hoboken one takes you along the city skyline which I always see lol I will say if you get seasick please be sure to take your dramamine ahead of the trip to ease your nerves because it does get a bit wavey on the boat. The boat is BYOB (beer, wines, ciders, seltzers) nothing harder than that or you won't be able to board the boat. You can also bring on easy cleanable snacks. Overall really cool and different experience in the NYC area and I'd for sure do this again!

Went for the Black Flag show (I mean, who could pass up seeing Black Flag on a boat?!)…read more The boat was smaller than I thought it would be - but I guess we all fit alright. It definitely felt "intimate". There were only a few seats strewn around the top deck which was tough for some folks w mobility issues. Just something to consider. You may be standing for 3 hours. Very small bar area downstairs - confusingly two bars set up but unclear if two separate lines (one for booze, one for food and booze? Unclear...)? Sound not the best but you're on a boat so c'mon... Bathrooms surprisingly clean and non-boat like. The ride itself is fun too! We got to see some pretty sights on a gorgeous summer night. I'd go again if another band I liked was playing (but hopefully on one of their bigger boats. Lol).

On our cruise we were aboard for the "The Sons and The Heirs" - A popular Smiths/Morrissey cover band. We liked it so much we did it twice (2014 and 2015). The Jewel itself is not a luxury yacht - the decor is fairly plain, but relatively clean vessel painted all white with a large area below deck with windows, bar and the band usually plays towards the front of the ship. The upper deck has a small light up dance floor (ala Saturday night Fever, but not quite) and this year has fake grass carpet along the front and side. There are plenty of chairs along the side and some outdoor furniture to sit upon in the front. There is another bar located on this level. Watch the bartenders and what they charge you for drinks - early in the evening for we were charged $9 a piece for Grey Goose and Club, a half hour later he tried to charge $12 - a bit shady, but it's not like you can just leave! haha Drinks are decent, but you may be better off sticking with beer. Although it may be a bit difficult to see the band you will be able to hear the music anywhere on the boat so what I often do is just hang on the upper deck taking in those, beautiful, impressive views. Perhaps dance a little if the mood strikes. Talk with some friendly passengers. Just have a generally great time on a beautiful NYC summer night! These cruises are well worth the price of admission for a unique NYC experience. BTW - Do you also hear "Empire State of Mind" whenever you see anything New York related or walking down her streets? Freaking Alicia Keys/Jay Z! Get out of my head!

There were places to be where the music wasn't too loud, but you could also seek out louder areas. The crew was polite and helpful. We had a great view of the fireworks. Kudos to Adam who helped us choose just the right cruise for what we were looking for. He responded promptly to my emails multiple times and was very helpful. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the boarding procedure was very slow and was conducted in a very hot parking garage. If you picked up your boarding pass ahead of time, you didn't have to wait to so long, but getting to the pier the day before was not convenient.
