She was shy and did not like change so we would sit out of class and watch until she was comfortable. She quickly adapted and became a vital part of the CofD company in her high school years and has gained genuine friendships with the other dancers; and I have enjoyed being part of the kind-and-down-to-earth dance moms. My daughter will…read moretake her place on stage at her first ever elementary school variety show with seven other kindergarteners tomorrow, and thanks to Paula, I'm confident that the group will do amazing thanks to the choreography and preparation that was put into the act. We've had regular weekly practices at PCDA starting in early December, so that's almost 3 months... and Paula and her team brought their "A-game" to every single practice. They were patient with the kids and made each practice fun. They taught the kids some amazing moves... even the ones that will likely never be the star of the dance floor (ahem - that was me)! They were also communicative with the parents, which was much appreciated. The kids are also learning way more than just a dance... they are getting an incredible experience, gaining confidence, learning about smiling when on stage, keeping going if/when something goes wrong, and so much more. I am not sure that dance will be in my family's future with all of the sports we tend to get involved with, but if possible, I'd love to continue to work with PCDA in the future!

I'm flabbergasted. Dealing with the owner of this studio was like speaking with a child amidst a…read moretantrum. She literally ignored me while I spoke to her and said, "I am not listening to youuuuuu." I brought my child here so that she could have some fun with a friend. My child has been on stage in recitals at church, so I knew she was ready. The day that I brought her in for a trial to see if the class was age-appropriate I was pressured to decide on site if my child wanted to participate in a recital in May (which cost $100 per costume and $150 in recital "fees". I said yes only because they assured me they'd worked with kids before. They couldn't even keep her in the room. They have a range from 2.5 years to almost 6 in the same room, having them stand in one spot for an hour with different instructors each week would sit and just give orders to the kids. In any case, the owner treated me so poorly, berated and ignored me as I tried to open a line of commutation with her. The receptionist is someone who is approachable, but any level of professional or even human treatment it stops there. They offer a summer camp, which is laughable. Who would trust their children with you? Hey T and L, no matter how many times you flag or try to remove my review as you have the others, I will save it, and repost it. This is a matter of principle and you shouldn't get away with treating people this way nor should you have access to children if you don't know to to speak to people.

The studio has a lot of options, the prices are reasonable, and the recital at the end of the year is super organized and fun to watch. We're really happy we found such a great dance studio so close to home. If you're looking for a new studio in Queen Creek, definitely give this one a try - you won't regret it!

When an owner/instructor is hanging out at clubs, bars, going to Disneyland or trips with the same parents of dancers, and ironically those kids get all the opportunities to move up.......i call that a complete conflict of interest. There are some wholesome instructors, but no matter how good they are, if the favoritism continues it is clear the studio will not grow into what it could become. Word will travel about this behavior as the dance community is small in the area. I hope they get their stuff together because the potential is there.

I truly appreciated him calling me and hearing what I had to say. I changed my review because I don't believe the front desk women I spoke to on the phone represents Bender performing Arts as a whole, since my other daughters class experiences here have been pleasant and positive. All 3 of my daughters started going a few months ago. The 6 year old classroom where parents sit is dark because the light has to be off to even kinda see your kid. There is a small window in this small room where you can try to look in. It's awful. The teacher is very nice but doesn't give direction. The kids just do whatever and she doesn't correct them or help them. I called to get some help for these issues and I was told I was the only one who feels this way and there was nothing they could do.

I bring my 6 year old daughter here. They practice in private rooms in the back where you cannot…read moreview them at all. My daughter really likes ballet and hasn't complained so I am torn to write this review but I don't think we will be coming back here. This is our third dance studio experience due to moving. The reasons for my review are this: First- the front desk lady is pretty rude... all the time. I don't think she is happy to be there. I think she manages it. Second- you cannot see or watch your child. You cannot watch them practice. I personally want to have eyes on her and watch her practice and she wants me to watch as well, it's exciting. This may be great for older children and adults to avoid distraction but I don't find it convenient for young kids. Third- mask mandate has been discontinued for some time and they enforce it. They enforce the kids and anyone in the lobby to wear one. Instead of asking nicely, it's more of a snarl "you need a mask to be in here, ugh!" Topped off with a glare and eye roll. Fourth- The lobby is small and I have always had to stand up waiting for her to be finished so I end up just sitting in my car.... not like I can watch her anyway. Fifth- the parking lot is extremely small it's very annoying. You will more than likely park on the main road. Not reason to stop coming here, but it's quite frustrating. Sixth- instead of telling me or teaching me how they want her hair to be done they scolded me in front of the entire lobby about how she needs to re do my daughters hair because the bun I had it in won't hold.... don't let your child come in with one of those donut bun thingies. I spent all that time putting her hair into a perfect freaking bun... how am I supposed to know if you don't tell me? Needless to say she was very annoyed. Maybe this is all routine for ballet but I have found it to be somewhat a toxic atmosphere so why would I want to come back? It isn't inviting at all. All of the teachers have been great with professional demeanor, smiles and always kind. Maybe they want to be super professional and this is why it's like this. I'm sure they'll come back and say "ballerinas need to be prim and proper and without distraction." So if that's what you're looking for then this may be the place for you. Be ready to park on the main road and have no where to sit. I just want to bring my little kiddo to a fun place to start learning technique. None of the other places have been like this. It's weird to see such a lack of friendly customer service. We will find a new ballet studio or a new activity.

It wasn't just about dance it was about self-respect, discipline, poise, and learning to carry herself like a young lady. The instructors teach more than steps; they instill confidence, elegance, and inner strength. We've since moved to Florida, and not a day goes by that we don't miss this school. The standard of teaching is top-notch truly professional and deeply nurturing. It's rare to find a place that teaches both the art of ballet and the art of character. I can honestly say my daughter left that school better in every way not just as a dancer, but as a person. If you're lucky enough to live nearby, give your child the gift of this training. It's more than just a ballet school. It's a foundation for life. Forever grateful, A proud and thankful mother
