Susan had the fish and chips (of which she is a real fan) and I had the chicken curry. Susan was astounded by the best fish and chips she has ever dined upon and I was pleased/impressed by the quality of the curry. Service was prompt - beer and wine were delivered immediately, our orders came quickly, and we were revisited several times to ensure all of our needs were met. We've been "on the road" in the USA, France, and Italy for the past month and this was the best and most welcoming service we've experienced. The pub was packed by locals of all ages having a wonderful, lively night out. We were both absolutely delighted by the experience and highly recommend a visit when in the area!

Also, it just so happened that Wednesdays are "Pizza Night" so we went to the pizzeria/mini grocer connected to The Coach House and ordered our fresh, delicious, pizzas that were delivered to us back at the bar.
