Okay, it's not the most romantic place in the world, as the first two reviewers were apt to note. But maybe this was one of the places where the experience of a tourist was actually improved. In our case by the manager of our B&B coming out and personally introducing us to the staff of the restaurant before we were seated.
Of course, she said to get the steak, and boy was she right. The antipasto of salumi, prosciutto, and cheeses with warm foccacia was good, but this pub has some serious filet going on, let me tell you. We had a few permutations of filet out here in Roma, and this place just made it tender, flavorful, and if there was a single best dish we've had, it was that one, followed in a close second by the filet with mushroom sauce. Tender, juicy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, that steak was just simply wow. If you come to this place just for one thing, get the filet.
The pizza we got was also covered in that spicy salame from the antipasto. Tasty!
And in true pub fashion, the table of Americans finished dinner with a limoncello shot on the house.
