What a wonderful place. The staff really showed my son lots of love over the last 3 years. They are really good to the kids and they have a great setup with many rooms so the kids stay with others close to their age. They feed the children as well which makes life easier for us but also got my son more comfortable with trying new foods. My son was at Tutor Time of Brooklyn from September 2020- August 2022. The Tutor Time Team was caring, welcoming and communicative. My son, who does not transition easily, happily ran right in every day for those couple of years. It was hard leaving my baby each day, but it was even harder to do this during COVID- they kept the facility clean, alerted us when needed and kept my son healthy during those days. Tutor Time also has great bonuses- access to watch a live feed, picture updates of activities throughout the day, updates about food intake and toileting. Our daughter had just left Tutor Time a month and half ago because we moved to Long Island. She had been go been attending Tutor Time of Brooklyn from 1.5 to 2.5 years old for a little less than a year. Let me get to the point: Whatever minor complaints you see from the other reviews, they most likely have no idea how good they've got it. Tutor Time of Brooklyn is probably the best day/child care in NYC. Prior to us moving, my wife and I have toured DOZENS of day/childcare facilities and none of them come close to having the quality service and care that this place has. From what I've seen, this place has the most amenities. Virtually everything is provided for like diapers. If you've visited any other childcare centers you'd know that's not common. Whenever my daughter loses something in class, the teachers and assistants take initiative and SCOUR the school to find it for us, even if it's something as insignificant as a hair clip. They'd always make sure our daughter had a clean diaper before we take her home. I cannot stress enough how caring and attentive they are - and this includes the director Stephanie. Stephanie's office is always open to children and parents. Any inquiries or issues you have, she resolves them right away. You'll sometimes find her in the classrooms taking care of the kids because she's not above that. And good luck finding another day/childcare in NY that gives parents webcam access. It's virtually non-existent! I had told the staff prior to leaving that my wife and I will probably miss this place more than our daughter. The school that we've had to settle with at the moment is nowhere near as good as this place. read more

My daughter was enrolled in Tutor Time for several years! Our experience has always been great! The director is warm and welcoming and truly cares for the children and her staff! After reading some of the negative reviews it is apparent that some parents are not familiar with the day care system! Prior to our daughter attending Tutor Time, we toured several day cares in Brooklyn and the surrounding areas and Tutor Time is by far the best! The facility is always clean, the activities that the children are engaged in contribute towards their learning and growth and the teachers are there for the benefit of the children. I can't say enough about the current director!! Her knowledge of childhood education and parenting is evident! She works in collaboration with the parents to strengthen what is taught in the classroom and encourages us when we feel overwhelmed. My son, now two and a half, has been at Tutor Time since he was nine months old. I will start off by saying, having to put my son in daycare was one of the hardest decisions I've had to make thus far. With that being said, i have felt extremely comfortable leaving my son in Tutor Time's care. Every staff member/teacher i have interacted with has been caring, attentive and nurturing towards my son and very responsive to myself and my husband when we have had questions or concerns. Tutor Time also provides an app which is updated multiple times a day with photos and videos of your child, as well as summaries of what they are doing throughout day, including meals, diaper changes and naps. Most recently, they partnered up with a website that provides streaming video from inside your child's classroom, so if you really don't believe them when they tell you they ate ALL their vegetables for lunch, you can watch them during lunchtime :) I did shop around a bit before choosing Tutor Time, and to be honest, I really didn't like what I saw at some of them, children of all ages in one room, one caregiver for like 15 children and absolutely no structure whatsoever. Prior to turning two, my son learned his alphabet, his numbers, colors, foods and above all, socialization skills. I highly recommend Tutor Time to anyone in search of daycare. read more

The caregivers at Tutor Time have basically raised my two daughters, and I can't say enough good things about their care and communication.

I love this school! they have so much to offer with so many enrichment opportunities the director and assistant director both so warm and inviting and very involved. They are very flexible with pickup and drop-off times which is extremely helpful to not have something additional to stress out about. read more

My son has been at TT since he was 6 months old. Our experience has been mostly positive. He's now in the toddler program and has really been thriving. He recites his alphabet, knows his colors, numbers...most learned at around 2yrs. However, they've recently brought in new caretakers who are not at all friendly. Im no longer experiencing the warm and geniune feeling I've felt from staff since we started-- which has been the reason we've kept our son enrolled. Ive spoken to several families who share this sentiment. You say "good morning"- to some, they're unredpinsive and they look at you like a deer in headlights! What's going on TT?? There's also very little diversity among the new teachers... of age, cultural ethnicity and overall experience. This was one of the draws fir uuuyyy s in enrolling was the vibrant, diversity among the teachers, of varying ages, experience levels and ethnic cultures. We are def no longer enamored and are considering other daycares. read more

Very unprofessional place. I scheduled online a tour one week ahead of time. I even received phone call day before my scheduled visit, reminding me about the time and date. When my husband and I showed up the lady that emerged from back office was very surprised that I have scheduled the visit. She did not introduce herself, asked how I scheduled the visit, online? did I call? She did not even say "Hi" to my kid or did not acknowledge her presence. After learning my child age, she said she does not have spots until May 2016. She was in a rush and was not interested in showing the place at all. Seeing her attitude, I knew this is not a place I want my child to go to. We left without seeing the location. The worst of all is that my child really wanted to see her prospective day care and she was not able to. Great job on that thing you do Tutor Time!!! read more

If I could put no stars, I would. I pulled my child from this center. They put up a good facade during open house but it didn't take long to realize there were serious issues with cleanliness, safety, and staff. They say they have curriculum, but it is not applied. Infants are basically left on their own for most of the day, being attended to for diaper changes, feedings and naps. No story time, no gross/fine motor work, basically nothing, just a few toys scattered around the small carpet.They put props in front of the kids and take pictures of them, then send them on the app as if they were engaged in was some activity when it was really just a posed photo in the high chair, one kid after another. I watched them do this twice in the short time my kid was there via their camera app. In terms of cleanliness/state of the room, the materials are old and dirty. The buck is always passed when asking about sanitizing toys and materials. Take a look at the high chairs and swings, disgusting. I understand children get sick at daycare, but my child was so sick that even the doctor noted how extreme the situation must be at this school. The app and access to video allowed me to see how horrendous the situation was, making me one day leave work to go pick up my child. In one of the older classrooms, I saw children who, I guess were being potty trained, outside the bathroom door being wiped by their teacher in sight of other classmates and passerbys as the classroom has windows. I was shocked. I could go on on about what is very wrong with the place. Voicing my concerns to the teachers, assistant director and director didn't make a difference. I called TutorTime corporate to let them specially of my concerns, hopefully they've taken action. There aren't a lot of options in the Bay Ridge area for corporate day care center so this place may seem like a good choice but take a really close look and be aware that all is not what it seems before leaving your child in their care. read more

My child has been here at this location since 6 months old and is now 2yrs old and we could not be happier. There is an amazing staff who just make this school that much more outstanding. Each child is individually cared for and it's comforting to see this first hand. From the directors to the infant room and to all the older classes it just gets better and better. It's unfortunate that we are moving making this such a difficult place to leave as every teacher holds a special place in our hearts. My child is learning so many things and comes home singing a new song everyday, it's mind blowing. If I can give another five stars I would not hesitate. My son has been here three years and we are very happy. This is our second day care and I have toured at least 20 in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Its bright, sunny and clean. The directors know every child and the teachers are enthusiastic. Some of them have many years experience caring for children. There is low turnover in the baby room and a reasonable turnover for the other teachers (who are finishing college or go on to teaching in the public elementary schools). I feel very comfortable having my children cared for here. You can't beat the hours either! 6:30-6:30 and they are rarely closed. read more

What can i say except that i couldn't be happier that my son attends this school. My husband and I, prior to sending our 13 month old here had problems finding a school we felt comfortable leaving our, then, 3 months old baby. after the first few days i was completely satisfied with our decision. We live in queens and travel all the way to bay ridge to drop our son. it's beyond worth the trip and travel time. I can check in at any time with them, they send me daily updates with pictures. My son is learning and thriving at this school. His teachers are beyond amazing and so loving and caring, extremely attentive to the children's needs. he always has a smile on his face which is the most comforting thing to see. And he seriously LOVES his teachers, he's always reaching for them and giving kisses.. Leaving your child at such a young is hard but when both parents need to work you want to know your baby is in great hands. Tutor Time Bayridge is hands down amazing and i love the staff!
