This museum mostly focuses on Native American history and artifacts, but also has some other displays, like a dinosaur. I especially enjoyed the archaeology room and the room listing all the different Native American tribes of the area and all the things that made them unique. Really cool old building and located a bit out of town so you don't feel the hustle and bustle of the city. Fascinating place and I will definitely be coming back for another visit in the future.

The main attraction really is the mansion so just buy a $18 pass which gives you access to the mansion tour as well as the outside grounds (which is what the $5 pass gives you access to). As for as museum goes, the subject material isn't that interesting: it's about a random wealthy family. Imagine a 100 years into the future we have a museum about a random millionaire. Our tour guide, Marco, was fantastic and great at answering questions for our little group of 4. The mansion really is just a showcase of how a wealthy person's home from the early 1900's. You get a glimpse into their business and personal lives as well as the type of furniture employed in the household. The tour was interactive and nice. The self guided tour is just literally walking around the mansion so there isn't too much to see but it makes for a nice, short walk. Overall, I think that there are more interesting museums out there. But if you're looking for a super quiet museum to browse, this would be the place.

There is the museum inside an old, and kind of small, hospital, and there is grounds to walk around. When you walk through the door you enter a small gift shop area and pay your entrance fee. The guy that was helping us did a great job creeping my wife out about the place feeling haunted. The museum inside is laid out with local history and fun old hospital tools including a very shiny iron lung. They do pretty good job being inclusive of history of local minorities so it isn't just white man's history. Upstairs the museum is laid out in rooms by decade and there is a room that was a nurses room that has the original paint and most of the decor. The grounds are filled with a local logging steam locomotive and cars. You can walk through the caboose but it's all steel so when there are lightning storms it's best to vacate. There are also some old cabins that were moved to the property and they are fun to explore. If you like old tractors like I do there are a couple of examples to view and drool over. There is also a large barn filled with wagons and other tools. The museum does not take a lot of time to get through if you are dragging someone with you that doesn't like museums. I grew up in an old Victorian house felt a little like home in some ways. There was one very small and clean bathroom in the museum and you can hear everything when you are on the outside so if you are shy go before or after your visit.

I don't know why so many Yelpers refer to this business as a "scam." The name of the business is METEOR CRATER and that is what you get to see. What exactly were you expecting? Make sure you take the free tour. If you don't take the tour, I just don't know what to say. Inside the main building, there is a decent area with exhibits you can peruse and check out the history of other meteors that hit the earth. Some of the other meteors left craters far, far bigger than this one. Our tour was about an hour long or so--I cannot remember how long exactly--but you get to walk along the rim and hear interesting stories about all the mining efforts inside the crater and the loonies who have fallen in and so on. Even a plane crashed inside this thing. Again, make sure you take the tour. We didn't have time to watch the free movie, although I wish I had done so. There is also a separate area of young kids. There are several free looking devices (you know, those stationary binocular type things) outside the main structure where you can look into the crater. Those are fun to use. Yes, this is expensive but this is also a roadside attraction that is worth the detour. Plan on spending about two hours here. They also have a little cafe with food and booze (including espresso martinis, for goodness sake), if you really want or need to get liquored up in the middle of nowhere, I guess.

The staff was also very friendly, and the clerk at the front desk was especially welcoming, which we appreciated. That said, if I'm being completely honest, the price point was hard to justify. At $29 per person, it felt very steep for the overall experience. For what's offered, something in the $12-$15 range would feel much more reasonable. I'm glad we saw it, for us it was one of those "check it off the list" places, but not something I would personally return to or go out of my way to recommend at the current price.

It's located near the Williams Visitor Center, which made parking super easy with plenty of free spaces. There is no fee to enter, and it is a smaller place. It took us about 20 to 30 minutes to go through it all and we also spend time speaking to the owner. He was friendly, knowledgeable and you can tell a lot of thought went into everything. Each item on display had interesting facts but also some had a bit of humor which made the boys laugh. In the middle aisles, they had a selection of toys, rocks, plushies and some boardgames for sale. I wish I had taken more pictures but as my husband said, "If we had taken more photos, his phone would be full of ..." well you can imagine lol Overall, I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area, especially if you have kids and want something quick, fun, and a little different. It was a nice break that costs nothing to enter but leaves a lasting impression.

Following advice from the internet, we checked out old gas stations and local stores but nothing interesting detected. We walked into Poozeum with zero expectations after seeing the sign says free and disappointed by the gas station next to it. HOWEVER, it was mind blowing and definitely one of the highlights of the entire trip. (Even though we just saw Grand Canyon!) There were all kinds of interesting fossils - dinosaurs poop fossils, bowl movement fossils, and amber fossils with insect inside which I only read about in the books! The owner was super fun to talk to. He was clearly a very knowledgeable and humble scholar, who travels the world to study fossils. He was also very humorous and referred to himself as a "poop collector". I admire the dedication and passion that he has for poops. I strongly recommend everyone to go to this Poozeum in Williams Arizona.

If you give yourself an hour, it's probably a very liberal guess of how long it would take the average bear.

I went to buy the admission for Tuzigoot and I was informed that my admission would also include free admission within the next week to go see Montezuma Castle National Monument. I had no idea that the pass would include both places. LUCKY me!! Anyhow, you must visit Montezuma Castle National Monument. It is absolutely amazing and breathtaking to see in person. It's so inspiring to think about how they built such a high-rise castle into the mountain. I absolutely loved the volunteer Park Ranger who was super knowledgeable and passionate about sharing information. One fact that he shared was that part of the reason that they built the structures into the mountain was to prevent them from being flooded away. He also shared about recent flooding events in the area from the past few years. He had additional photos to show and he was answering everybody's questions with such thorough information. The walk-through of the park itself was also amazing with lots of trees and a creek. Do not skip this!!!

I'm a disabled veteran with PTSD & said my dog was a service dog & not a pet. He called me a bitch & said his wife was allergic, which I informed him that per the ADA allergies is not an excuse for denying a service animal. Again he called me a bitch & said my dog wasn't wearing a vest. I also informed him per the ADA service dogs aren't required to have signage. I couldn't even disclose the 2 question rule as he postured & called me names. At one point I was trying to pull up the law for him but he physically tried to push me out of the building. Once he pushed me off he slammed the garage door to make sure he could pick & choose who could come in. As I was leaving a Yelp review there were several other patrons who said during COVID he denied them access if they were wearing masks. Another said he denied due to race. So this owner seems to have no issues breaking the ADA multiple times. So I filed an ADA claim against him with the DOJ. Others should follow suit. Edit: came back when door was opened (he thought I wasn't going to come back) to take a picture of his allergy & no pets sign. Wife was sitting there unaffected of my service dog being on the other side of the building for 5-10 min which her husband claimed she'd die if my service dog stepped foot in that establishment.
