If you have kids and/or a sense of humor, this is a good road trip stop! There's plenty of surrounding street parking and staff are friendly. It's a smallish museum, with exhibits around the perimeter and various games and gifts in the middle. The museum focuses on fossilized waste, and the gift items generally span dinosaurs, poo, and every combination of the two. I was a little nervous but everything was tastefully done. My toddler doesn't yet comprehend bathroom humor (thank goodness) but she enjoyed looking at the dinosaurs and we got her a book as a keepsake for our visit. read more

This was such an unexpected find. We happened to stop by Williams town after our visit to Bearizona. It's located near the Williams Visitor Center, which made parking super easy with plenty of free spaces. There is no fee to enter, and it is a smaller place. It took us about 20 to 30 minutes to go through it all and we also spend time speaking to the owner. He was friendly, knowledgeable and you can tell a lot of thought went into everything. Each item on display had interesting facts but also some had a bit of humor which made the boys laugh. In the middle aisles, they had a selection of toys, rocks, plushies and some boardgames for sale. I wish I had taken more pictures but as my husband said, "If we had taken more photos, his phone would be full of ..." well you can imagine lol Overall, I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area, especially if you have kids and want something quick, fun, and a little different. The coolest spot in Williams AZ. We drove through Williams after visiting Grand Canyon and we were taking a break there. Following advice from the internet, we checked out old gas stations and local stores but nothing interesting detected. We walked into Poozeum with zero expectations after seeing the sign says free and disappointed by the gas station next to it. HOWEVER, it was mind blowing and definitely one of the highlights of the entire trip. (Even though we just saw Grand Canyon!) There were all kinds of interesting fossils - dinosaurs poop fossils, bowl movement fossils, and amber fossils with insect inside which I only read about in the books! The owner was super fun to talk to. He was clearly a very knowledgeable and humble scholar, who travels the world to study fossils. He was also very humorous and referred to himself as a "poop collector". I admire the dedication and passion that he has for poops. Oh my goodness from entering to when we left, my husband and I had a great time. The Poozeum is a hoot! The owner is there everyday and he's so nice and funny. He loves sharing his collection with everyone who comes in and you can tell he is passionate about it. I had no idea there were fossilized farts on top of fossilized poop. The Poozeum is one of the weirder things you can see, but also entertaining as well. It's not boring, overly science heavy and lacking fun, or gross like you might think from the name. It's quite the opposite. It has a blend of fun and facts, humor, and entertainment with several items that have wow factor too. This is a cute little shop that has the neatest theme I have ever seen, Dinosaur Poop. I never thought I would find a store that caterer to this but it exists and the neat museum style items and things you can buy is so fun. Everything in the store is either dinosaur or poop themed, and they have a good selection. I would highly recommend anyone stopping in when in Williams. The owner is super friendly and knows a ton. This is the perfect wacky pit stop for any road-tripper or curious passerby! A passion project by the curator, you can see fossils from all over the world, with information tailored for kids and adults alike.
