Turtle Town 10/10 would recommend! We saw 4-5 turtles when we were there. Definitely worth the time.

I took my parents for their 44th Anniversary and we all love outdoorsy activities so I knew we'd all enjoy this! We were asked to arrive at 10:30 am for the tour and it lasted until 1-1:30 pm. Arrive with good walking shoes, SPF, light sweater and hat (it can get either a little chilly or hot from the direct sunlight), and well hydrated if possible. We were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable tourguide, Kate from Maryland! She shared with us so many facts about the locally grown produce from herbs, vegetables, fruits, to the friendly worms, to compost and facts about the Farm and the hardworking staff! It was interactive because we got to sniff the herbs, taste the locally grown lettuce, carry a chicken (as seen in the photo with my mom), and even pick the Cherry coffee! After the 2 hour tour, the last hour takes you back to this beautiful seating area in a garden like setting for your 4 course lunch! Each course, the chef comes out and shares details of each course. First course was a Medley of Greens grown on the farm with Tangerine vinaigrette. It was a generous portion for our party of 3 and tried to eat it throughout. There was spiraled carrots and radish with julienned snap peas. Second course was Pan Seared Ono (their proteins are all locally sourced) with Mamaki Tea and Lemongrass Rice with Bok Choy, Collared Greens and Cabbage. Third course was my favorite! I'm usually a big fan of fish but the chicken was so savory and that rub was delish! It was an Organic, Cage Free Chicken with Coffee Cherry Citrus rub with Caramelized Coffee Honey Hash of Carrots, Parsnips, Rutabaga and Celery Root. The spread was a Turmeric and Parsnip puree. Last course of dessert was the O'o Freshly Brewed Coffee with Milk and Simple Syrup with a Dessert Platter of Fresh sliced Pineapple, Tangerine and Apple with Homemade Chocolate Truffles. The meal left us full and nourished! What a wonderful anniversary gift to give my parents. We truly enjoyed it and even made some new friends, both local and visiting.

My son enjoyed the mahi mahi tremendously, which for a kiddo who only eats chicken normally, is a huge compliment! I thought the tour was very informative and interactive as well. Our guide Molly let us pick, smell, and explore a lot of the plants they have growing on the grounds. She also very nicely picked a tangerine for my son because he really wanted one. Overall, worthwhile experience, despite the long drive from Lahaina. I would do this again, whether it is the brunch + coffee tour or the lunch tour!

Aloha everyone, You can STILL redeem your Yelp Elite Perk…read morefrom the Pastele House. Their hours were limited in the month of September when we originally got the Elite Perk because they welcomed another bundle of joy to their 'ohana I went today on my lunch break and as usual they did not disappoint. Their gandule rice is so 'ono I want to order a whole tray next week for Thanksgiving lol. I chose their spicy pastele because I've had it before and it is just right. Puerto Rican is one nationality I actually don't have lol but I've had some 'ono Puerto Rican food growing up here in Hawaii. Their Puerto Rican food is mouthwatering and so flavorsome you will not be disappointed. I haven't tried everything on their menu but I am a huge fan of their pastele lumpia too. Pastele and lumpia combined? We were skeptical at first a while back when they were giving out samples. After trying it, we were HOOKED and you will be too. Mahalo to Cristina and her husband at Pastele House for this wonderful Yelp Elite Perk. You folks are so sweet and full of the aloha. A big mahalo also to Maria our wonderful Yelp Maui Mama. It sure is sweet to be Elite :)

If you are interested in spending some time with a true gem of a person in one of the most beautiful places on Maui while exploring an expansive garden, then this is the the right place. Honestly, When Casey Shim welcomes you to his "utopia", thats exactly what it is. With high-elevation bi-coastal views of Maui island, surrounded by rolling green hills, fruit trees and flowers, up in the clouds, just standing on the property was a surreal experience. From there, you will spend time touring the garden, learning a bit about coffee and all the very many kinds of plants and fruit trees on the property. We even got to meet some horses and saw at least 3 geckos! At the end of the tour you can purchase some freshly bagged coffee as well as some coffee candy treats which were quite good. While not the traditional coffee tour you might expect, this was truly one of the highlights of our time in Kula and would recommend this to anyone open to spending some time in a beautiful place with a very very nice host.
