So nice, we came twice during our short weekend at the shore! Hard to beat their blueberry matcha latte, and the egg and cooper sharp breakfast sandwich with a splash of hot sauce was the perfect pre-beach breakfast. Donuts were delicious too! On our second visit, I opted for an iced latte and ricotta toast, and again - was not disappointed! Beautiful indoor and outdoor seating facing the bay! Friendly staff, cute vibes. They open at 8, but on the morning we visited, they opened a few minutes late and didn't seem 100% ready to go, which would be a problem if I was in a hurry. Will definitely come back. I loved their flavors. Not sure if they offer order ahead, but I would try that if you're in a hurry or planning to visit during peak times. Clean bathroom and easy, free street parking. read more

Joe and his team truly know what they are doing when it comes to coffee and food. Everything is so well thought out and executed, from the baked goods to the matcha... they take it all seriously and you can taste it. Some things are made with love and this is an example of that. Oh by the way... they run an insanely authentic Italian/coastal BYOB at night (Odero's Supper Club), my sister and her husband have been members for a year and every time we go we are blown away. Part of me wants to scream it from the rooftops but also keep it to myself, much like a good band. We had a homemade local corn and blueberry soft serve here last year that was life changing, truly. The food is already great, but the location makes it even more special, like you transported into a small coastal European town...sunset on the lake while slurping down homemade pastas hits different. read more

Stopped in because I'd heard this was a cute little coffee spot, but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. The menu was very limited and didn't have much to choose from. If you're diabetic or looking for sugar-free options, be aware that they don't offer any sugar-free syrups. The biggest issue was the cleanliness. There were cobwebs hanging from the walls, and the ceiling looked dirty, which made me lose interest in staying to eat. I ended up ordering a plain latte, but overall the experience didn't live up to the recommendations I'd heard. I was hoping for a cozy café with a better selection and a cleaner environment. read more

Obsessed with this spot! Situated right next to the bay with incredible views and incredible food and drinks. Their matcha is strong and delicious, and I'm a big fan of the egg sandwiches! read more

Beautiful, cozy, spotless, bright little cafe (I wonder if that previous 'cobweb/no diet syrup/1-star' reviewer was in the same place I was??). Small, interesting menu. One of the tastiest sandwiches I've ever had, honestly (yes, $19, but I'm in Wildwood) - turkey, bacon, tomato, avocado on really delicious whole-grain toast. Quite a treat! Walk a block to the left along the bay, and across the street from the gazebo, you'll find a plaque commemorating the 1776 Battle of Turtle Gutt. Classy, artistic map in the café shows some details. I'm not into history, but finding this nice little spot piqued my interest. And the sandwich was really good. read more

We went for breakfast there for breakfast. My wife saw it on Instagram and decided to give it a try. She loved it but I could take it or leave it. Nothing fancy inside and the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was pretty basic. They have menus but they were located near the register, where you feel rushed to review it and or order. Limited on drinks. read more

Went to Turtle Gut to pick up some cold brew for the drive home. It's a small coffee shop with the ambiance of someone's home kitchen. Their cold brew was decent, nothing to write home about. Not a coffee spot I'd go out of the way for, but not one I'd avoid either. read more

ok so the service was great so that's my one star. i got the blueberry matcha and it was actually butt cheeks. it was so so strong and sour. since it was bad i decided to go get an aqua fresa. also the melon aqua fresa and it tasted so artificial i can't explain it. and then my friend got a iced coffee . it was so bitter. it literally tasted so nasty. i wanted to cry because i just dropped 20$ on 2 drinks and a donut . and then the melon drink was an extra 9! the ambiance was ok it could be better. also that donut tasted too healthy. in total just don't come here read more

1. No menu anywhere when you walk into the place You have to go on the website to view it. 2. No air conditioning. 3. Ordered food. Paid for it. Never came. Had to go in and ask for the food. They did not have our order, but they did have my money. 4. The chairs outside were so uncomfortable. I guess they don't want you to stay ,or eat for that matter. 5. When we finally got the breakfast sandwich it was so dry. We took it home and added mayo to make it edible. Please don't go here!!!!!!!!!!! They brought our the Karen in me for sure!!!! read more

Spectacular food and coffee, highly recommend the avocado tartine. Pastries are beautiful and great service!

Best iced mocha ever! Had breakfast sandwich and pancakes! The pancakes had amazing syrup and jersey peaches to top! I'm a hot sauce connoisseur... they had stuzzi hot sauce- how have I not heard of this?! Everything is made fresh - with unique ingredients. Definitely should come by and try!!! read more

It's just meh. Nothing special and pricey. The yogurt parfait is the only thing I would get again. The pancakes and cold brew are a no. The pancakes were somehow bitter and the coffee was not strong. read more

The breakfast sandwiches are always delicious on fresh mighty bread co. Sweet potato bun ! They offer homemade sausage which is yummy but I prefer the hearty portion of pork roll. The matcha is hands down the best thing - they make their own syrups that change frequently based on fruit season. The cold brew isn't my favorite , just a tad bitter for my liking. read more

Nice little coffee/breakfast cafe in a quiet residential neighborhood across the street from Sunset Lake. Coffee was fresh brewed and rich, tasty, not the usual brown water swill you get from a diner. Breakfast menu was kinda limited so i opted for the breakfast sandwich - egg and cheese on a potato roll. The food is farm fresh and made to order, but $10 for an okay-but-not-mind-blowing basic sandwich is kinda excessive. But the staff is super friendly, cheerful and all smiles and the atmosphere is very kick-back, very relaxed with a bunch of outdoor tables and a couple inside - spot on for a beachy area. I'll be back for the coffee but probably not the food. read more

First off, absolutely adorable cafe. They have a cute little seating area and a shop with sustainable goods! My mom bought the pistachio almond butter and some spices to go. Staff is super friendly and answered every question we had. My mom loved her cappuccino, peep the photo for the cute milk design. My coffee was okay- I get the same order at every single shop I go to so I can compare/it's my favorite. I would say it was average tasting, a little too watery/skim-milky for my liking. We got their special, vanilla filled maritozzis for a treat- the filling was delicious!! I wish the filling was in every bite of the whole donut. This is a very cute spot, would recommend! read more

Ordered a cold brew, waited a few minutes, then was told they actually don't have any and offered me a latte which I did accept. It was delicious, but just strange to not have any cold brew at 8:30am on a week day. The prices for breakfast sandwiches are outrageous ($11 on a potato roll) considering what you're getting and compared to other spots on the island, so I skipped the food. Probably would only stop here for coffee again, because it WAS incredible. read more

This was my first time eating at Turtle Gut after hearing rave reviews from my friends! I wound up getting the Morty, which is served on sourdough from one of my favorite restaurants in Philly. It was a solid 10/10. Their coffee and matcha was jaw dropping. I got the blueberry in mine and you could tell it was a homemade syrup. Unfortunately we ordered before they closed so we didn't get to enjoy the inside but the vibes in there were super cute! The girl who answered the phone and worked the register was so sweet which was just an added plus. Overall I definitely recommend might have the best drinks on the island. Will be coming back! read more

I am hoping this place finds it's identity by next season. We came in for a couple of coffees and something quick for breakfast on Sunday of Labor Day weekend. We tried to order off of the big beautiful menu on the back wall but pricing was not listed at the time, we were redirected by the cashier to order from a printed out menu with clip art at the front counter. We ordered a couple of coffees but then had to move down to our third choice on the food menu because the muffins and other baked good that was listed was not available. We ordered a $5 hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were only a few bites and took almost 15 minutes to be ready. We were disappointed because the location is great and were hoping for a better take out breakfast spot that is really needed in WWC. read more

Love this place- good coffee, delicious doughnuts, and a beautiful view! And a clean bathroom, to boot. Always a highlight on our vacation!

The avocado toast and cortado were wonderful! Not pictured was the breakfast sandwich which had some of the best bacon I've had. Love that the food is made to order! A really great addition to wildwood and the only place I'll go for quality espresso drinks down the shore. read more

I went there last week and when I tell you this was the worst coffee l've ever had in my entire life. I actually think something might have went bad with the ingredients. All 3 of us who got different drinks, took one sip, threw it in the trash and went to the Starbucks in north wildwood. Also it was way too expensive for awful coffee. I really wanted to like this place but the drinks tased like literal shit. Turtle gut cafe more like "butt gut cafe". read more

The food is AMAZING! I had the most delicious sausage, egg and cheese sandwich with a homemade sausage that was the best I ever had. The sausage actually had blueberries in it which gave it just a hint of sweetness that I had never tasted before and it worked!!! Served on a potato roll, the combination of over-easy egg, creamy melted cheddar, homemade sausage topped with a little bit of an aioli sauce was out of this world! In addition to their yummy sandwiches, they had house-baked pastries. We tried the Maritozzo. It was a brioche bun filled with mascarpone vanilla cream, sprinkled with powder sugar. It was so good! We also had the Jersey Parfait which was the best I ever had! It had yogurt, granola and fresh figs and peaches in it, topped of either a drizzle of honey! If you're into coffee, they have quite a variety to choose from and it is made with a lot of thought and care! They only use the best ingredients and when you taste it, you will know! The owners of the Turtle Gut do everything so thoughtfully. They trained in pastry-making in Italy and everything is so fresh and delicious. You have to try it to believe it! read more

$6 for a 16 oz cold brew that came out of a big plastic bucket. It was stale and bitter and the portion wasn't great for the cost. There's much better and reasonable places in the crest to grab a good coffee! read more

Whoever runs Turtle Gut's instagram deserves a serious raise. Based off the instagram, you'd think this was the coolest establishment with amazing food and excellent service. However, all of that couldn't be further from the reality of going there. I feel totally duped. So do my friends who came with. The physical space is sterile, feels like you're at a doctors office. There were four outdoor tables upon arrival that all had dirty dishes on them and they remained that way throughout our time there. The cashier and servers all don't speak English. What should have taken 20 seconds to order our food took two long minutes. The donut wasn't good and the mortadella egg and cheese was decent at best. The egg is also extremely runny they need to cook it longer. It's also wildly expensive. Don't let their instagram presence fool you like it did for us. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped in just passing by because it looked like a cute little coffee shop. We got two cold brews and two bacon sandwiches and it came out to about $35. I almost fell over from the price alone. That's an awful lot of money for what we were getting. We decided to eat outside and was handed a number to place on our table. It seemed like none of the servers knew what was going on. Every time a server came out they'd say "are you number..." and wander around with people's food and drinks. My boyfriend and I did not like our coffee at all. The sandwiches were good, but still not worth what we paid. Will not be returning! read more

This used to be Rita's and I'm very happy someone new took it over! Great breakfast sandwiches and EXCELLENT burgers. Fantastic every time. Food was perfect and with quick/great service. Right at the cove in WW Crest with beautiful views. A real gem.

Echoing the same sentiment of other diners about the owners being unfriendly. Came in at 1:40 to order lunch after rushing over because their menu and website says they serve food until 2pm. They denied my food order and seemed very perturbed at my arrival despite still having diners sitting outside and the door wide open. Change your website to be clear. read more

The latte was very bitter and served in a glass - rather odd. My husband's breakfast sandwich had extremely runny eggs.
