Visited Sea Shell Ice Cream after dinner during a recent trip to Wildwood. It's an old school ice cream shop in what appears to be someone's house. Their was some indoor seating, but most customers seem to take the picnic tables outside. The line was long, but moved quickly. I ordered the espresso chip and rocky road, but I'm pretty sure they gave me espresso chip and moose tracks instead. I like moose tracks anyway. Good selection, great staff, and lovely setting. We sat outside during a bagpipes performance by one of the firefighter crews and it was overall a magical experience. The portions are huge and the girl behind the counter offered me an extra cup and cone to make it easier to feed the little guy. Great staff! read more

Very well run establishment. I like the owner (or at least I think it's the owner). Some guy seems to always be there at night to run a smooth operation - he will make sure everyone gets in, the tables are cleaned and ready, and everyone on the inside is happy. Everyone who works there is quick and friendly. Everyone is moving and has something they are tending to. The ice cream itself is great. I love the menu and the options. We didn't get this because it seemed too big for us, but we saw the American Banana split with little American flags on it and it looked super cute haha. I feel 3-4 people could eat it though. I also love their hot fudge and their crunchy peanut topping they offer (called krunch). You gotta sit inside here- seems that it is house they converted into an ice cream shop. This little ice cream shop has some of the tastiest ice creams I've ever had. It doesn't have that artificial sugar taste you get at some places. I've gotten the churro and the Cookie Monster flavor and both were fantastic. The churro tasted like actual churros. They also have a little restaurant type seating where you can sit and order your ice cream. Very clean inside and the workers are extremely nice. Would highly recommend!! read more

Amazing size portions for the price, you can get two flavors in a single serving (which some other places don't allow you to do), and the service was very friendly. Great place. Huge portions. Love the espresso chip and chocolate chip mint. They take cash for hard ice cream but in the back area they do take credit cards for ice cream sundaes and shakes. You can get table service inside. It's only open seasonal but I must visit when in Wildwood! The owner is there every night directing people traffic. Parking can be a during busy times. This is a review of the quality of the servers! They are employing kids who have no customer service skills. One of the servers argued with me over how much fudge I was asking for? On another visit the bowl broke and ice cream fell on the ground. I asked for a replacement and was charged $8! Additional customer service training is needed for the servers. This was always our go to ice cream spot during family vacations when I was a kid. We stopped in on a little family vacation and noticed they have very limited hours during Covid. They don't open til 6:00pm, even on the Saturday we went. There will be a consistent line anytime after 8:00pm but it moves and it's worth it. Their portions are huge! A great place to get ice cream in Wildwood. It's only one block from the famous Wildwood sign in the main strip. There is minimal parking in the side of the building. During busy times this will fill up fast. The staff was helpful and patient on my visits. They have a decent variety of flavors to choose from. There is available indoor seating and some outdoor available as well. They offer a variety of ice cream options to choose from. The hours are 12 noon to 12 am even in Sept after Labor Day. read more

2 scoop ice cream sundae was $8 and was huge. I wanted one for my 3 year old so I asked if they had a kids size sundae. The counter person in broken english said of course we do, no problem. This ice cream parlor has impressive lines in the evening. My family and I watched the lines and talked about how we couldn't wait to grab some cold, icy treats. We wanted to hear the crowds so we arrived around 7pm. There were already a lot of customers enjoying their ice creams but no line. But that's when our underwhelming experience started. The facade on the outside would have you believe you'll be entering into some classic, well-decorated treat shop. It isn't. It's so very run down and poorly lit. And for an ice cream shop....there was no air conditioning. The place was really warm. While we faced this depressing new reality - the employees behind the counter seemed confused, lost, and...few in numbers. They weren't sure who to help next. Patrons tried to form a line but the employees would help the wrong people and get the line a bit mixed up. Then, the place is cash only. I wouldn't mind if it was for a decent reason like it's all part of a throwback theme. This place is interested in taking in cash for sub-par ice cream. The ONLY upside (and maybe why everyone goes) is that the serving are huge. In this reviewer's opinion: it a huge serving of sub-par ice cream.
