Nothing beats ice cream on a summers evening! This place was 2 mins away from our Airbnb and the line was wrapped around the building on a Friday night. They have SO many flavors and fun sundae combos. I got a little overwhelmed by how many options there were but also v impressed. The pricing is incredible for the massive size of the sundaes- about $8 but it could easily feed 3+. The ice cream and the toppings are locally sourced and made in house and you can def tell. AWEsome ice cream place - we stayed in Villas for a few days and Fleck's became an evening staple! First night we got there about 20 min before closing and the line was out the door (a good sign!) The staff were really hustling and the line moved along fairly well. Rest of the visits they weren't quite as busy, but service was constantly superb, and everything we tried was awesome - I even gave one of the no-sugar-added items a try ;), Thought I snapped some pics but I guess we too excited ;) - think standard ice cream parlor vibe.. They must make some good $, literally every table was full. But I get why- so many ice cream and water ice choices and so many toppings. On this trip, it was a party of 3. I ended up getting a small one scoop chocolate chip cookie dough, my sister got a soft serve twist on a cone and my daughter got cotton candy and vanilla in a cup with rainbow sprinkles. This is a fantastic vacation ice cream experience! The place is sparkling clean and well-kept; lots of local Philly decor. The menu is so large it does not fit in one picture (seriously, look at all the pics online!). We came on a weekday afternoon so it wasn't crowded but I heard that the line can get very long in the evening. Ice cream was delicious and large. My wife got a brownie sundae and said the brownies were to die for (soft, chewy). She had to be convinced to share one with our toddler I got their equivalent of a blizzard, with soft serve twist and three mix-ins; it satisfied my ice cream craving for like a month. We decided to just have ice cream for dinner! So we were just a short drive from our rental to Fleck's! There are so many amazing choices to pick from it was a little overwhelming at first but then just plain hard because I wanted about 5 of them!! My husband chose the apple dumpling sundae and I took the minor league foul ball-coffee ice cream with hot fudge and malt! The girls working were efficient and had our sundaes made quickly! Aww they were so nice in here. It seems like the place is run by a bunch of HS and College sophomores but it's all good. How can you mess up ice cream! The shop was pretty busy with 3/4 of the tables occupied and about a 3 person deep line. I can only imagine what it looks like in there mid summer! Inside was neat clean and organized with a cool Sandlot poster. No mess around the ice cream or toppings area and the tables and garbages were cleaned. Our favorite ice cream spot when in the Villas! Sundaes are huge and always a really nice treat. The menu is so vast that there is truly something for everyone's sweet tooth. Even when there is a line out the door, the service is quick and pleasant. Prices are well worth what you get! A family favorite is the tandy cake sundae. The Homerun sundae was also very good if you are a reeses fan! It is massive, though, so I was glad I could request a smaller size. It was still way too much but very good! I got the honey bun. It was suggested to me before I left. Getting there it was hard to make a decision with that many options. Cinnamon bun cut up and layered throughout. They have very reasonable prices but I don't think the ice cream is made in-house. They do have a big variety of sundaes, Philadelphia Water Ice, and Dole fruit whip. My fave flavor is always coffee so I had to get theirs. Coffee ice cream here was not a strong coffee flavor that was almost like a vanilla and reminded me of Breyer's.
