I went to Turquoise Kitchen with my family and had an interesting time. The free starter bread was fluffy, warm, and yummy... topped with sesame seeds and served with garlic sauce, a red sauce of sorts and olives. While it all tasted good, it was just enough for everyone on our table of 7 to get a very small piece of bread and one olive. For dinner, I got mix of Chicken Shish and Lamb Kofte which came with 2 sides of rice and salad. The meats were flavored really well, soft, and my highlight of the evening. The salad was really fresh and tasty as well however, due to the fact that most of our meals came with salads, they just put it all in a bowl (family style) for us to dish out as needed. While I don't mind family style eating, there was not nearly enough salad for us all. My friend who got the Ribeye Steak ordered it well done and said he was really pleased with his meal as well. Unfortunately, my friends who got Lamb Mousakka and Lamb Casserole both complained about how bland their meal tasted (I tried the mousakka and have to confess that I agree). 2 people got fries and chicken tenders, which they liked, and the last person got mock tails, which they also liked. Overall, it was an okay experience but having 2 people not enjoy their meals kinda put a damper on things. That said, staff were pleasant and I would recommend checking the restaurant out for kebabs/koftes for sure! read more
