He " took me by the hand" to direct me how to open the owner portal that I couldn't get it to open with many times of changing password etc, and he had so much patience and kindness that I was impressed! When he came to my condo, he asked me if I need any thing else before he left, and that was very thoughtful of him to even ask. I had a serious issue with water intrusion from the upper unit that caused so much damages to my property including mold, that he was very transparent and offered his license contractor after 5 high estimates that I had, to fix the damages in very reasonable price. He came to check the results after he finished and made sure that it will be satisfactory. He shared his knowledge and guided me through the whole stressful process. Even on Saturday he picked up the phone and helped me with very delicate situation that I wasn't sure how to handle. His assistant Gabriella also very kind and responsive and has a lot of patience dealing with very flaky tenants some times that will not fallow up to view the property. She'll go the extra mile just to accommodate the client and I was very appreciative of the way she fallow through her promise. Which was beyond my expectation. I waited till the next day to ask for a refund of my deposit of $4,500 that I gave them, and she said it would take another 14 business days for the condo association to approve my application. I have a good job make $50k a year, with good credit and verifiable rental history. I asked her why do I have to wait 14 days and she hung up the phone again. I am now hiring an attorney to get back my deposit and sue for misrepresentation of the their company by telling me that it would only take 3 days to get approved. I believe that Icon Realty was involved in hacking my bank account. I leased an apartment in the heart of las olas/Fort Lauderdale from December 2016, from Atlantic loft llc. I agreed to pay a 2 month security deposit of $2400 as well as first, last and security (pretty standard) got my key, etcétera. After 2 different companies handling our property, ICON Realty came in January 2020 and revamped property by implementing a ***online payment service ***** aka , a way to get into your bank account. I questioned who this is and why I had to use this system to pay, not only to be replied with "It is our new system and you have to use it, you must pay rent this way or consult your attorney" As I went ahead and used it but decided to not renew my upcoming ending lease of 3/30/20. I emailed, texted and explain that I would not be renewing the lease because not only I don't trust the payment system, I had a very difficult time communicating with Benjamin (who by the way runs the whole thing). He ignored all my calls and the ones he replied, he did very rudely. I promptly moved out on schedule and handed him the keys along with my original lease agreement. He took the keys and said that He did not have a refund and I would need to wait 30 days to receive one on the mail. Now 30 days later. My bank account has been HACKED and bank investigated the multiple charges leading back to that January rent payment. I have been getting random withdrawals from different wiring entities totaling over 1k so far. Due to covid19, I can not yet file a claim in court. And the reason I am writing this is to WARN tenants and landlords about companies like this! I am attaching the refund check I just received. What a joke! See you in court.
