As it pertains to this barbershop and the caliber of barber found therein, Roly is the truth. Great barber, personable and a good listener. I conveyed the type of cut I wanted and specified what I didn't He delivered and it is the best haircut I have had all year. I will most definitely be going right back as soon as it is time so he can fade me up again Location, pricing and quality of cut are all Enormous factors that go into a cut. The cut I received for all those factors made this barbershop more than worth its weight in gold. Convenience is also a huge role Not having to wait an hour or two for a chair to free up and I can't tell you what a relief that was.

He's been cutting hair forever, and knows what he's doing. My favorite thing about the place is the super comfortable, luxurious barber's chairs that Rico offers. They're not like the cheapy seats they offer at the chain salons. These are sturdy, comfortable and have a place for your feet- it's a pleasure just sitting there. They're at the end of the shopping center with the ice cream parlor! Nom!

They do nearly all the cuts themselves. They offer you a beverage, they make great conversation and genuinely care about their customers. Nghia cut my hair for my wedding and it was, without a doubt, the best haircut of my life. It took nearly an hour and was so detailed. They also do shaves and beard trims. Take note of this when you go to any haircut or barber. In order to get a barbers license and for it to say "Barber" they have to be proficient in razor use. I finally find the place and I'm only 2-3 minutes late at this point, but the shop isn't even open yet. 15 minutes after my appointment I ended up leaving. Now a few things - it turns out the barber did text me, but let this be something for consideration for all barbers: text spam is a thing and iPhones have a way to filter out texts that come from people you don't know. I didn't get said text until over an hour past the appointment time. At a minimum you should call, not text, for this reason. Secondly, if you're not going to answer your phone at least have a professional voice mail. Personal branding is not just about the pictures you upload to social media sites showing off your work. It's also about how you present yourself in person and over the phone. This was a poor over-the-phone experience and as a first-time experience with this barbershop, a poor in-person experience.

Puro isn't that place. Cheyenne actually takes his time. Whether you take the advice is up to you, but the man knows his craft. I just moved to San Antonio and have been on the hunt for my barber, the kind of place you stop searching after you find.
