Mark was our agent when we bought our first home in West San Jose a few years back. He was honest, smart, knowledgable about the industry and most importantly competent. He kept us informed on the negotiations every step of the way. The sale went the way he said it was going to go. Fast forward a few more years, we sold the house to move to Monterey, and we had Mark represent us as sellers. It was a pretty quick process, as I needed to move for a job. He coached us on some improvements that might increase the price of the home. Again, he was right, and the process he told us was exactly the way it went. We were very happy with the selling price of the home, the speed at which it happened and basically the entire process.
Moving the timeline 15-ish years forward, (We were 12 when we started all this) my Mom's health declined enough that she had to be moved to a retirement community close to us in Salinas, so we had to help her sell her home from afar. I needed someone I could trust completely, because I did not have the time to get the house ready and sold from Salinas. I didn't want to manage the sale of the home, but know that we would not worry about getting ripped off. Again, I cannot say enough about the job Mark has done for us. He helped us get people to sell the contents of the house, get the place cleaned (We grew up in that house, and I my mom still had not thrown away much at all, so that was a huge challenge) new carpets, new floors, paint, inspections, the move, and a few other things I can't remember off the top of my head (getting the place staged). I did not have to make one phone call to do this, because Mark and his team took care of all of it. He kept me informed on all of the people he was using. He consulted with me and my mom on every decision. He made arrangements so we didn't have to travel to the Bay Area to sign documents. We had multiple offers and the house sold at exactly the price we had listed (I wondered if we had listed the price too high, but he assured me that it will sell and sell quickly) and it sold quickly. We had a lot riding on the sale of the house, because this sale was funding the rest of her life.
