And it's extremely flexible in that you only have to give 30 days notice to vacate without any further charges. I know the company has many locations, so it's nice to see that they all maintain the same high standard. I would definitely recommend taking a tour of this spot if you are looking for somewhere for a grandparent or parent to reside. They have many activities to offer, which is amazing and keeps residents active and engaged. The staff also follows a consistent daily schedule, making sure everyone knows what to expect and can participate in everything comfortably. The food selection has always been amazing - I would love to have three meals a day from here, haha! Compliments to the chef, the meals are always so well-prepared and delicious. I also noticed that residents who need extra care are checked on frequently, which shows the staff gives everyone the attention they need. On the working side, I loved being here - seeing the residents happy makes me happy too!

We had both my in-laws in a very expensive high end retirement home with hundreds of guests and lots of activities, but the care was just not personal. Her Dad is a WWII Vet and he is very precious to us. Though he has dementia, he immediately recognized he was in a better place at La Valhalla. He was happy, content, treated with respect and given care beyond what we could ever have provided him at home. It was such a burden off our shoulders to know he was there. When we came to visit it was such a good feeling to hear the staff and few residents (3 total right now) laughing out loud and really enjoying each others company. So different and so much better than the big retirement home! We can't recommend this place enough.

We were very fortunate and blessed to find La Valhalla Residential Board and Care. The moment we walked in the door we knew we had found the right place for our dad. It is not a clinical, sterile facility, but a warm, inviting home. The DeVera family is amazing in their compassion and care of their residents. The residents are not treated as residents or patients, but family members. Having to place a loved one away from their personal residence can be an overwhelming, intimidating, daunting experience for a family. Working with the DeVera family at LaValhalla eliminated all of those feelings. We are so happy that we found a residential home where all the caregivers are compassionate, caring, knowledgeable, and truly concerned about the residents in their home. We are at peace knowing that our dad is happy, safe, and well cared for thanks to the efforts and expertise of the staff at LaValhalla. Thank you DeVera family for not only taking such good care of our dad, but letting our family feel like an important part of your family. You are all truly amazing and a blessing!
