I tired to book an appointment with this office after my general dentist sent me a referral. However, the receptionist did not bill the estimate with my insurance though she promised that she will bill it before we scheduled the appointment. She kept saying that my insurance will not pay for the consultation, though I told her that my insurance is not for calendar year but for academic year. After I requested her bill the estimate with the insurance, she became impatient and asked whether I would like to cancel the appointment. She can just bill the estimate with the insurance but she did not. I admit that I just found that this dentist was also recommended by my former endodontist,- Royeen Nesari, who lost in our recent small claim lawsuit for his dismissal mid-treatment. So, given my past terrible experience with Dr Nesari, their close ties and the receptionist's refusal to bill the insurance, I think that they are just trying to hide something from the insurance company, to protect their dentist community, even though the judge has already ruled against Dr Royeen Nesari and then Dr Nesari sent me attorney letters after losing our lawsuit! read more

I have been going to Dr Les for about 20 years and just recently chose to go back three weeks ago. I got a call from his office manager Lisa today about a billing issue and when I tried to ask questions about the source of the billing info (my referring dentist, my previous dentist, my current dentist, or me) so that I could make sense of it and apologize if it was my fault Lisa got very testy and snappy with me. I just wanted to know the cause so we could fix it and she was so outright mean that I told her I didnt want her to bill my correct insurance and restart the process just based on this call. Went went back for a follow up and slight modification and Dr. Less was very kind and everything went well and now onto my dentist for a crown in a few weeks or so! Again, he is very professional and thorough in his endodontics capabilities and you will be in good hands with this wonderful, caring, knowledgeable and passionate man in what he does to help those in need of an endodontist!! My dentist refereed me to him as he is also a caring, talented and passionate man who truly cares about an individual's dental needs and since my issue was out of his realm of techniques, referred me to the best in Stanislaus county, near my area of residency!! Seven years ago, Dr Less said He would do a partial or full root canal & ended up doing a full root canal. After 5 minutes after the procedure, I had pain. It was very late... approximately 9 pm. Which seemed strangely odd to me. After walking out of the office they gave me some Aleve as I had quite a bit of pain. I got home & experienced an unusual amount of blood coming out of my nose. I called him & he made a personal visit to my home. He picked up my medicine....which I thought was strange as well....Bottom line, I felt uncomfortable with him, as if he was trying to make advances to me that seemed quite inappropriate because I had to go back in to have him recheck my root canal & no one else was on the office....this happened 3 times. This place is wonderful, and very professional. I've been to a lot of dentists, and none compare to the treatment I received here. I also have a history of dental anxiety, and panic attacks. So I was pretty worried when I had to have a root canal on an older crown. When I went in to the office the staff was very nice, and helped me with all my questions. They took the time to let me know what all was happening, and what to expect. The doctor himself was very polite, and open about the treatment, and he even walked me through a general idea of what is going to be done. Something most dentists I've met never do. A lot of dentists I've had operate on me don't even say hello when they walk in the room, let alone walk you through what they are going to do. His equipment is top quality, and state of the art. I was very impressed when he told me his dental chair was a special one that supports the lumbar (I believe it was the lumbar, but I could be misquoting) and spine. All in all, I'm surprised to se such awful reviews of this place. I had zero pain the entire procedure, and have had no problems since my treatment. They were 100% in my books, and if I ever had to get a root canal again (knock on wood) I'd come back here. Thank you all for the great service! read more

I have a major fear of the dentist that stems from a horrible experience as a child. Dr. Less listened and empathized and provided care accordingly. The office is immaculate and it is obvious he takes pride in utilizing the newest advancements/technologies available. I have had two separate procedures done there and both were far easier than I could have imagined. Front office staff has always been upfront and clear regarding out of pocket cost. Not over-the-top friendly, but pleasant and professional nonetheless. Overall, Dr. Less is very good at what he does and I will trust him to perform any work necessary in the future. read more

Dr.Less was very informative & gave detailed step by step instructions as to what they were doing. The office was very clean & modern. I had a 4 hour difficult retreated root canal ( extra long roots) and he & Marisela were very gentle & caring. What an amazing experience. I was thoroughly impressed with their professionalism, empathy, and office humor. To begin with, Dr. Less welcomed my family and I in the waiting room. After a consultation both him and his staff took time to explain the procedure needed and to address my concerns. I had one of the worst experiences here in this office. The receptionist Lisa is so unprofessional and so rude. For one she has no idea what she's doing, two she will talk to you like your 2 years old. I was in so much pain and for her to talk to me the way she did was absurd. DO NOT GO to this dentist. The doctor seems more like a used car salesman versus a professional dentist. I felt like the doctor was not providing any confidence in the procedure. The front office staff are not very friendly. The place is super clean, which I liked and the chairs are absolutely amazingly comfortable. Had to have two separate root canals and I will say, Dr. Less is GREAT!! He and his staff stayed until almost 8 pm to finish up my root canals for me. I was very great full he was willing to do both, because of my tight work schedule. Anytime I have needed to call the office, Dr. Less himself will return my phone call. I had a root canal done today, 9-14-16, performed by Doctor Less. It took 2 hours and a lot of patience for a patient like me, I don't like dental procedures. despite my shortcomings, Doctor Less breezed through the procedure. I left feeling moderate discomfort and pain. I figured 4 hours later all hell would break loose but the doctor's skill proved me wrong. I only have mild discomfort and pain and am thankful for his talents. His vocal banter during the procedure is amusing, probably a distraction move which worked for me. I recommend Doctor Less, more that the previous doctors who completed root canals which left me in severe pain for days. read more

WORST DENTIST OFFICE EVER After only two visits to Dr. Less's Dental Office and receiving the WORST service to date, I am definitely not returning to this office. The front desk personnel have been consistently unprofessional and condescending. I was made to wait +30 min past my appointment time, and even still was not close to receiving services -- I was merely given an "update" from a staff member. The staff were disrespectful of my time and my needs. As a working professional who had to take time off and needed to arrange care for sick family members, was very frustrated to have my time disrespected like that. read more

Ok I am writing this review due to the treatment that my severely anxious son received. I had previously received treatment at this office thinking this would be the best situation for him. When we set up the appointment we were told that there would be "no" out of pocket cost due to having double insurance. It ended up that I was personally called at least 3-4 times and told you need to take care of this right away because we cannot get either insurance to take care of it. How disheartening, when you go to an office in confidence thinking that they will be able to take care of the billing without threatening you to send you to collections. Secondly, the dentist personally told me "not" to bring my son back. The reason he did this was because my son who is severely anxious, panic attack type, became very upset during treatment- mind you he was left in the chair for 45 min to an hour while the dentist worked on another patient due to "messing up" on my sons root canal as the dentist stated -he had not "messed up" like this in 10 years. Very unacceptable.....Honestly, what ever happened to being able to handle customers or clients in an appropriate manner?If you "mess up" make it right, not at the patients cost..... Especially knowing the background. If you are even the least bit anxious about seeing a dentist please do not go here. By the way....my son, being responsible as he is "paid" for your unacceptable treatment. If you do not have anxiety about dentists, be thankful. read more

Dr. Less is completely unprofessional and inappropriate. i came in for a somewhat simple root canal. It lasted over three hours. He broke a file off in my tooth. I've heard of this before but he took over an hour and a half trying to get it out without a kit because he was being cheap. It was even more uncomfortable because I had to listen to repeat Christmas music and oldies with him telling me inappropriate stories. Hes smug because his younger brother Jeff died before him. He told me all about his Mom issues and then talked about grouping a teacher in the 7th grade and talked very dirty about woman in front of me. he also only got 3/4 nerves when he needed to get all of them but didnt want to redo. he refused to acknowledge my husband and kept saying wife when he knows my husband goes there sometimes. i kept trying to politely correct him but he ignored me. he also made an appointment without me knowing and when i said i didnt make a follow up for another tooth and i need to go back to my general dentist he tried charging me $100. i only found out because of text and tried canceling it that day. Anita said youd have to cancel it on thursday if its for monday. i told her i found out about it through text that day and she claimed that she spoke to someone to make it. i have all my call logs. i didnt speak to her. they try to scam you out of money and fix wisdom teeth when they just need to be removed. dont be scammed. ive seen so many people who had the same horrible expierence. Thanks Kevin Less for telling me uncofortable stories when i cant speak with all the stuff in my mouth. thanks for letting me take a break in between the 3 hours to pee. instead i soiled myself. wish i could give this less than 1 star. I disagree with the above. I had a TOTALLY different experience! Great Dr and such friendly staff! I was informed of my "estimate" portion. Which I had no issues with, and understand nothing is every a guarantee because even the insurance tells you that when you call with questions on your explanation of benefit. So it's not their office fault if your insurance didn't pay as much as was "estimated" to. They also have a financial policy that you sign and it states VERY clearly that what the quote you is an "estimate". If I every need another root canal I will defiantly go back to his office. read more

We had to take our 14 year old here on an emergency basis we have had nothing but a good experience from the caring staff to the specialist. The specialist explained everything thoroughly. When he did a procedure on my son he explained to him everything that was happening step by step and made him feel very comfortable my son doesn't like going to the dentist as any typical teenager and or child. However he made him feel very comfortable. We are very pleased with the service definitely recommend this specialist. read more

My experience here was excellent. I think he has the nicest staff (very professional) and while I was there he had a very good rapport with his assistants. The receptionist told me how much my part was and it ended up being $20 less once the procedure was done. On my first visit he was very professional and told me exactly what needed to be done and the possibilities. Do not go to this dentist. I have nothing good to say about him or his staff. They make you think that you are in good hands and Dr. less knows what he is doing but it is all an act. My first appointment I had with him the receptionist had tolled me I was covered completely with my insurance and there would be "not a dime of out of pocket fee to pay. Then when I was getting my consultation with Dr. Less, he yelled at his assistant fur speaking to me by telling her to "shut up", wow very professional. After all this he said he would be in contact with me in a few days and he will let me know what the plan is to do with moving a tooth, but a week goes by and still no phone call. Two weeks go by and still no phone call from Dr. Less. Three weeks go by and still not one phone call from him, so I called him on his direct cell phone number. He was very un-professional about everything and sounded as if he had no experience dealing with people or there teeth. So after all the waiting I decided to go to another dentist, and 2 months later, I received a letter in the mail saying I owe money to him for my visit. After the receptionist specifically tolled me I would owe "NOT A DIME", they bill me after I had already used it up with another dentist. How is that for a professional man/ business? I recommend whoever is considering this place to work on anything on your body, you look around first and make sure it is the wises choice. read more
