Al la Turka is a Turkish & Mediterranean restaurant there is lots to choose from, Turkish mixed grill(s), kebabs (posh ones), seafood dishes, risottos/rice dishes and much more. They have two bars a main one in the restaurant and one on the third floor which they call the "loft" which is nice to depart to once you've finished your meal - they also have a terrist which would have been nice if the weather was more pleasant but hey this is England and it's a bank holiday weekend - the weathers not going to be nice..... But it's an excuse to go back when it's a little warmer to try that terrist out. So we were sat at our table pretty promptly however we had been there a while and several assistants had failed to offer us the menu and drinks (but they were very busy) in the end we had to ask. They also missed a friends meal off the order and they didn't realise until they brought ours out but one, the meal was delayed for quite sometime - would have been better to delay all of our meals so we could eat together (however we understand this is just a mistake, things happen) Despite the wait the food was worth it and so were the drinks! It was Delicious, I had humous to start and the scallop risotto for main - oh so creeeeeammmmy, it was my first time having scallops and oh my god, why have I not had these before? I love them! My partner had the Turkish mixed grill it was really nice and the presentation was very good. It was not disappointing. Despite the hitch in service we were very well entertained throughout the night the music is very good, the atmosphere is brilliant, we had a group dance with a belly dancer who attempted to show us a thing or too but when you've no stomach muscles or rhythm in site this proved quite a work out - Hilarious as you can imagine, it was light hearted and good fun ! I am rating this place as a 4star purely due to the service it could be better overall great place. Even the rice was perfectly cooked and delicious. The toilets are small. The ladies toilet is a single disabled toilet and the men's toilet is a single toilet. The toilet was clean, tidy, and had a variety of toiletries to use. The only negative thing I can say is that the waiter didn't come over after our meals were served to check that everything was OK, but the restaurant was full to capacity so we can forgive that. This was the nicest kebab type dish I have ever had and the best restaurant I have been to in a long time. I will definitely be going back.
