I went specifically for The Narrows dinner and was happy to see that there was a buffet that night. There is a $7 in-state resident admission to pay to get on the grounds to park. The state park is beautiful! The restaurant buffet is also solid! Soup, salad, drinks, entree items, and dessert are all available. They served salads with various fixings and chicken poblano soup. There were several options at the drink station including iced tea and lemonade. Entree items included rolls, fried biscuits, fried chicken, bbq ribs, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and corn. Dessert was a fruit cobbler.

The restaurant is a rip off. They advertise a menu but tell you it's buffet only, which for breakfast is 18 dollars, and coffee and pop is extra. Children were 15 dollars. The dinner buffet is 21 dollars. The "buffet" was the cheapest breakfast items like biscuits, gravy, sausage, and potatoes, some French toast sticks. I didn't look at the dinner, because we ate elsewhere. It's 10 miles to anywhere else, so they are taking advantage of that. If you want affordable breakfast, Turkey Run Gas and Grill is 2 minutes away, and has a larger breakfast menu for less than a 1/3 of the cost. Breakfast served until 10:30.

We had a great large family dinner at the Inn. The buffet was excellent with good variety kept stocked and hot and ready, the salad portion of the bar was also good. Family friendly atmosphere is wonderful with family and friends with outstanding service at a reasonable price

We had a great visit to Turkey Run State Park! This review is specifically for the cabins. The cabins are newly renovated, and ours was very clean when we checked in. We were told that Check In was at 4, but our cabin was actually ready by 2 which was great after being on the road. The cabin had 2 full beds, a mini fridge, a microwave, a Keurig, and TV. It backed up onto Trail #6 and had a beautiful view over to the main Inn. Also, the employees were super helpful and accommodating. It was pouring rain at our checkout time but the employee told us to take our time so we didn't get drenched. :) We did not eat at the Inn's restaurant, but we did peek in at the lunch buffet and the food looked good. Would definitely recommend staying in the cabins, and Turkey Run is a beautiful state park!

Turkey Run State park is one of my favorite places to visit in the fall in Indiana. The hiking trails are beautiful and the fall colors in the park are stunning. We spent fall break at the park and stayed in one of their cabins during our trip. If you're looking for a place to get away and disconnect from the city you need to check out this park.

I had the beef manhattan (known as a hot beef sandwich in other areas) this time - it was delicious!

Concrete blocks with names written in marker and smells of a musty basement, but the wine flows and the entertainment is like no other. The wine likely is whatever is on sale at Walmart, but I promise it doesn't matter. The bartender, Trina, will make sure you have one hell of a time. She may sit at the piano and play a little song, tell some jokes, or pose you for photo shoots. I've been a couple times now and it's always a great time! If you're in the area, it's a must stop at place!

I don't even know if we got her real name. You get a wine glass and 5 tastes for $12. I think I ended up trying 7 because there were I few I didn't like so she switched them out which was really nice. They do not make any wines themselves. You are just trying various wines which at first was a bummer but it was nice to try some new ones I hadn't had before. We had 2 dry wine people and 2 sweet wine people and they had a lot for us to try. This place is downstairs from an Inn. It's a little dark as it's the basement but once you get used to it it's not bad. You feel like you are in a wine cellar. The only bad thing is there's no restroom. I don't know how or why but there really isn't one you can use. Not fun when you are drinking but luckily the courthouse had theirs open.

We rented the castle for our wedding weekend, including overnight accommodations for our family, and while we appreciated the unique setting, he repeatedly crossed boundaries during our stay. Throughout our wedding night, Douglas frequently entered or attempted to enter our rented spaces uninvited, including coming down to our side of the castle and asking us to turn off lights to save electricity. While I can understand wanting to conserve energy, several guests returned to their rooms after leaving lights on and found them off, which was unsettling and felt like someone had been in the room. We paid a significant amount for the venue, and it's hard to imagine that the cost of electricity would come close to what we paid for the event. The situation made us and our guests feel like our privacy wasn't being fully respected during what should have been a private and personal celebration. During the rehearsal and throughout the weekend, Douglas made several comments that felt unnecessary and intrusive. During the rehearsal, he told my husband and I to "act like you like each other" because he felt we weren't standing close enough at the altar, though there were much more appropriate ways to make that suggestion. He also repeatedly remarked on my hair being down, referencing medieval customs. The frequency of these comments over the rehearsal, wedding night, and breakfast the next morning made the interactions uncomfortable. Our parents and other guests also noticed how he spoke differently to the younger adults in our group, often in a condescending tone. During the reception, Douglas and Josephine helped clear plates as guests finished eating, which we appreciated. However, a few guests witnessed Douglas taking a plate of food and a cookie from our catering as he returned to his side of the castle. We weren't upset about it, but it did feel odd since it hadn't been discussed beforehand. The venue itself is stunning, but couples considering booking should be aware that the owners remain very present and involved throughout the event. Sometimes in ways that make it difficult to fully relax and enjoy your celebration.

One of the five units was ok, but the rest were dark, musty and simply unpleasant. I will say ours seemed clean, but the paint throughout (including the ceiling) was a baby-poop brown color. The outdoor pool had duct tape on the side, and the wooden steps to the dock wee in process of being repaired. If the cost was lower, I'd possibly have overlooked some things, but our two-bedroom unit was $200 a night. The o e positive is the deck off our unit (number 2) offered a beautiful view of the lake.

My biggest problem was the cleanliness of the place. When we walked in the smell was very musty! This place is extremely dated and needs some major updates and repair. The unit we had (unit 4) had so many spider webs and dirt on the sliding window, you couldn't even seen out! The ceiling fan had probably 2 years worth of dust on it. There were mouse turds in the silverware drawer! My girls wanted to swim in what looked like a fairly clean pool but it was ice cold. We rented a pontoon boat for $350 which seemed high for 1 day. Then we got on it and $350 seemed ridiculous! The owner did state that these boats aren't real nice but I was thinking just maybe older and not fancy. I'm pretty sure these boats have never been cleaned! The dirt buildup on the table and on the console was ridiculous! Also our boat have had a gas leak because there was a slick on the water behind us the whole time! I can handle a place that might be a bit outdated but the complete lack of cleanliness is unacceptable for what we were charged for this place!
