I went for a guided New Year's Day hike and loved it! It's so nice to have a recreation area like this in Tulsa. There are trails for pedestrians and bikers. The trail names are great - I only wish Jake & Elwood were pedestrian trails!

We completed an 8.3 mile hike! The various hiking trails are perfectly shaded. There were easy, medium and hard routes and plenty of people were around so we felt safe. Dogs were leashed also. I am so glad that we found this gem. I highly recommend.

Best place hands down to hike in Tulsa. Great for mountain biking too! Upper lot is my favorite but lower has restrooms. You can brings kids and dogs too, but leash the dogs.

Turkey Mountain trails are in the midst of a vast expansion. Both walking and mountain biking trails are being developed and improved. It's a great place for a hike or just to relax on the grassy areas and have a picnic near the main parking lot. Great views of Downtown buildings and CityPlex towers.

We did a nice hike at turkey mountain! We absolutely love the trails and area here! It's in the city yet you feel out in nature! I loved the areas with water, streams, and such. Very nice walking are. Some trails are harder than others but I'd love to come back here and do more trails! It's got a great parking space and bathrooms along with water fountains and dog fountains for drinking. I didn't feel like we were heavily covered in ticks like other places. If you haven't gone, you gotta check it out!

Love that there is hiking options so close to Tulsa. Never been here before and found it to be a pleasant trail. I followed the google maps to what I thought was the entrance, turns out it's like a second entrance? After following the trail some i found the main entrance with paved parking. Not sure how to drive there, but it had more established entrances to the trails. I decided to follow the blue trail from the other entrance and found it a little confusing. They were doing some "work" on the trail so there was construction stuff on the side of the trail and seemed to be adding better trail markers to follow. I would say the blue trail was relatively easy-moderate. Only thing was it had lots of rocks in some places so if you are unsteady on your feet it might be a little more difficult. I ended up following the blue trail markers from the other entrance to the main entrance, but then had to backtrack to get back to where I parked. Took me 40 minutes

Was in Tulsa for a long weekend and we wanted to fit in some hiking while there to take in the nice weather and help burn off all the calories we were eating. Was glad to discover Turkey Mountain Wilderness Area to give us that opportunity. There is ample parking and a well-marked trail. The trail was pleasant - definitely felt safe as we were on our hike with polite dog walkers, bike riders and other hikers occasionally seen along our route. We did the yellow trail and it was a decent hike for a couple of hours. Some nice overlooks and interesting foliage encountered along the way. We only saw one very small snake on our hike - but certainly took heed of the signage that there could be more. If I lived in Tulsa would certainly come back to this to try other trails and for some good, solid fresh air.

Wonderful, peaceful and challenging!! We took the blue trail on this particular day. I LOVE the way you can just be hiking and then get to the top and look out over the Arkansas River! It's so quiet up there! (Except for my heavy breathing as I make the climb!) A great place to contemplate anything that's on your mind or to take you away and just be in awe.

Just needing to break in some hiking boots before a big trip, we headed to Turkey Mountain on a pleasant Indian Summer Saturday. Where have we been? Having lived most of our adult lives (and then some) in this area, we had never been to Turkey Mountain. We parked on the Old Lot (which the trail map's say is closed but wasn't) and it was a bit less crowded than the one at the trail head. Considering where we parked, we were able to experience some rocky trails and elevation changes as we hiked down to the Trail Head and the River Park Trails. Once these hiking boots get broken in, we will be back! (Maybe also with our bikes!)

For Tulsa metro....this place rocks, and I think Grffin would agree. We took the yellow trail and got turned around a few times.....but eventually found our way. for a busy Saturday afternoon, we felt alone in the wilderness quite a few times which was nice. The trails were pretty free of trash and the bikers were always kind to us while passing. I wish for a few more overlooks to Tulsa and the downtown area from the yellow trail, and maybe a loop on the yellow trail making an option to cut it down to 1.5 or 2 miles. All in all we are SOOOO grateful for this little oasis so close to home.

Perfect place to escape from the city for a hike! The trails are great and make it a great spot for a weekend hike with the family. The trails do have many rocks and trunks sticking out and some hills are a little steep so be prepared but it's nothing you can't overcome. There are three different trails: the blue trail takes about 30-45 min to complete depending on your speed. It's a quick and easy trail if you take the family with kids. The yellow trail is one of our favorite one. It is quite a bit longer and may take 1.5 - 2 hours to complete but is definitely worth it. At several point on the trail you can stop at bluffs overlooking the Arkansas river (really nice on the rare occasion when we have water in the river...) I have never done the red trail but would like to try bar some point! We sometimes see people on horse going through Turkey Mountain and people also take their mountain bikes there. This is a little gem of nature in the middle of the city and we love having it in Tulsa!

Great for hikes and getting out of the house, I don't mountain bike but I have a lot of friends that go out there and ride.

From the moment I…read morereached out with questions before our trip, the team was super responsive and helpful, making it easy to book and reserve everything ahead of time. We rented two Marin Sausalito E1 e-bikes and they were perfect for cruising around the city. The bikes had smooth pedal assist that made our 36-mile ride feel effortless, especially with Tulsa's mix of river trails and city streets. We even brought our own seats for extra comfort and the staff had no problem mounting them for us. They also provided locks, front and rear lights for night riding, and chargers so we could juice up the batteries overnight. When we arrived to pick up the bikes, we actually bumped into Tom (yes, the Tom!) heading out at the same time. He ended up riding with us along part of the RiverParks Trail and gave us some amazing local tips--including a few great restaurant recommendations and cool stops to check out along the way. This shop gets five stars from us. The bikes were top-notch, the service was outstanding, and the entire rental experience was smooth from start to finish. If you're ever in Tulsa and want a fun, easy way to see the city, I highly recommend renting from Tom's Bicycles!

I understand smaller, locally focused shops have to add value to their customers as a means of competing against big box. This business goes beyond what is necessary to compete. The excel and the value of our purchases there always exceeds expectations.
