We had an awesome experience renting e-bikes from Tom's Bicycles in Tulsa! From the moment I reached out with questions before our trip, the team was super responsive and helpful, making it easy to book and reserve everything ahead of time. We rented two Marin Sausalito E1 e-bikes and they were perfect for cruising around the city. The bikes had smooth pedal assist that made our 36-mile ride feel effortless, especially with Tulsa's mix of river trails and city streets. We even brought our own seats for extra comfort and the staff had no problem mounting them for us. They also provided locks, front and rear lights for night riding, and chargers so we could juice up the batteries overnight. When we arrived to pick up the bikes, we actually bumped into Tom (yes, the Tom!) heading out at the same time. He ended up riding with us along part of the RiverParks Trail and gave us some amazing local tips--including a few great restaurant recommendations and cool stops to check out along the way. This shop gets five stars from us. The bikes were top-notch, the service was outstanding, and the entire rental experience was smooth from start to finish. I think Tom's is my new LBS! Well, one of them, anyway! How can you choose when there's so many great options in town? We stopped in yesterday to check out the store and to inquire about getting a maintenance service, since it's been a few years. Eric helped us and he was awesome. Super friendly, really knowledgeable, no pressure. We ended up buying more (bigger, waterproof) Axiom panniers to upgrade the smaller ones we already have. Axiom is one of my favorite cycling brands, since they make high-quality stuff out of recycled ocean plastic. Win! We also got some small ABUS locks for the front wheel + frame locking combo. So, Tom's definitely carries some of my favorite brands, and we even got a little discount on the locks since we were buying the big ticket panniers. I also appreciated that Eric mentioned that T-Town is an authorized Specialized dealer, so if I have any warranty issues with my bikes, I should go there. I'm definitely going to be bringing our bicycles there for a tune up as soon as the weather gets worse -- there's too much epic riding to do right now! (FYI: tune ups are first-come, first serve, no appointment needed. It's busier in the summer and slower in the winter, so plan accordingly.) Rock on, Tom's! read more

We were visiting family out of town and wanted to rent bikes for 5 people. Tom's Bicycles staff were very helpful and did an amazing job getting us all on the road very quickly. The bikes were in great condition especially for rentals and priced right. Each renter received personal attention to detail and service. Horrible Customer Service! I drove from Broken Arrow to the shop for a flat tire fix on an E Bike. The shop told me on the phone that they could fix it no problem after giving them the model of the bike. When I get there they tell me, "we can't get that tube, if you can find one on the internet yourself bring it back and we will fix it". These guys are a joke! Do you not check for parts being available BEFORE you say you can fix something. An apology of any kind would have been helpful, but neither of the employees offered one. I should make these guys pay for my gas. read more

Running is starting to take a toll on me and I'm ready for a change. Tom's is the perfect place to be inspired to hop on a bike not matter what your skill level is! Colin needed a tune-up on his newly dusted off bike and I joined him in going to Tom's. The staff was so kind and unassuming. The bike culture in Tulsa is huge so I felt some self-induced insecurity but the welcome and comfortable atmosphere totally ripped that out. Besides tuning up/ fixing bikes the store offers all kinds of bike gear and accessories for reasonable prices. Tons of race information is advertised well here, too. (Maybe one day for me!) For a new bike seat and major tuneup for the bike ran about $100 and was worth every penny. I did my homework on typical pricing for this and coming here was a smart economical move. Thanks, Tom! I have been coming to Tom's since I was probably too small to even ride a bike. Since it's been awhile since I have had to buy a new bike I will say that my experience with them as an adult has been from their mechanic part of their store instead of retail. They have great, kind and knowledgable people working behind the counter that will hunt down the right parts and work hard to get your bike working at it's best. They helped me with all three of my bikes, had a quick turn over and were decently cost. They're not intimidating either. Sometimes going to a mechanics can feel like going to a gym, intimidating because it sucks to feel like you don't know anything. I will say that Toms does a great job at communicating to you what it is you're looking for and what is needed. Both locations are clean, well organized and fun to just browse and shop through--- but can be dangerous on the pocket book. I suggest Tom's to a lot of my friends, they've been in Tulsa for years and they know the bike community. read more

My son wanted a BMX bike for his 12th birthday, but I hadn't thought about a BMX bike since I was 12, so I asked around about where to buy a good one that would last into his 20s. Several people suggested a local bike shop, versus the large chains, and after I'd done my own research, my son and I walked into Tom's. I was on guard, ready to be dismissed as remarkably uncool and old, with only $300 to spend, and my experience couldn't have been more different. Someone greeted me as soon as I walked in, I said what I was looking for, and I was told I'd need to talk to the BMX guy, whose name I can't remember, but who was awesome. He listened really well to what my son was looking for, and he understood that we had a budget. He asked if he could do some research while we looked around, and after about ten minutes he suggested a line that was a good solid "entry" line and that worked with my budget. My son picked out the color he wanted, the guy ordered it and suggested if we could wait, we wouldn't have to pay for shipping, which worked for me. They called a couple weeks later and had the bike assembled. I asked how to move the pegs around, to meet my son's very specific criteria, and they just moved them for me right there while I waited, which was HUGE. They loaded it up for me, and my son has been in love with it ever since. It's the talk of the town, so my son is very happy. I will be a customer for life. read more

Tom's is extremely knowledgeable. The prices are competitive but most of all which I think is the most important part, they don't insist that you buy things you shouldn't. I have found that with other shops both in Tulsa and out. They are a very relaxed group. They carry new and used bikes so if you have a bike you want to sell, take it to Tom's. I spent 14 years as a cyclist and would not recommend any other shop in Tulsa. read more

Awesome blossom place. My friend and I were looking for a place to rent bikes to take along the river in Tulsa, and this is the best place to rent because they are right next to the trail on the river (well, sort of - they are in a shopping center, but you could def. park your car and ride across the street to the trail). They also sell bikes as well and anything bike related you might need. We didn't end up renting because my booty needs a cruiser, and they don't rent out cruisers, BUT the guy (was it Tom?! I don't know) was SO nice and told us about the Tulsa Townies, these pink cruisers that are set up various places along the river that you can take. I think there is a website for it, but there was one by some mall on a bridge (actually they weren't there - maybe it is a seasonal thing - like you could see the kiosk but no bikes). Kiosk is most definitely not the right word. It is like when you put in money and the bike unlocks. I need more words. Anyways, Tom was totally not phased my my booty requirements, and was so happy and excited to tell us about what might meet our needs. I guess it is all those endorphins. Anyway, they sell cruisers. So people should go to this place. And if you have a smaller booty, you can definitely rent here too. read more

Tom's service is top notch and Tom, the owner, is a fine guy. Open on Sunday until 5 PM makes this place even more convenient.
