Here's my story. I have used Altman's pest control company,…read morea local and family owned business, for at least two years. I used them for the basic lawn fertilization and weed control, spraying the bushes around the house and of course the pest control in and around our home. This past March, I talked to them about the lawn not really looking healthy, still way too many weeds and that I wanted to consider reseeding. I asked for their opinion and I was given the option of either reseeding in spots or doing the entire lawn. For over $300 I decided to do the entire lawn so it might look more even with a healthier overall look. After a $500 water bill and a couple of warnings from the water company, and 5 weeks later, I didn't see one new blade of grass so I called them. Someone came out and take a look and said, just be patient and keep watering. I told him I had to back down from the watering because I had the warnings from the water company, but I would do the best I could. Thank the Lord above at that point because it started raining a lot. Three more weeks went by and not one new blade of grass anywhere was showing! I called and asked Jimmy, the owner to come out. He did. At that time he told me that "St. Augustine grass takes 6 months to start growing". I was shocked by this. Six months?!? I was never told that at any time before. Had I been told this I would've questioned it and done some research. I started asking around and everyone that knew anything about lawn maintenance was puzzled. They said St. Augustine grass cannot be used for seeding, it comes in blocks of grown turf. Plus, there was no preparation before they reseeded. Just a spray. Anyway, I was very disappointed. I felt that they didn't know what they were doing, and I think that feeling has been justified. So it led me to canceling. There's no way that I want to make expensive monthly payments for all different services to accompany who I can't trust and who doesn't seem to really know what they're doing as far as it comes to lawn maintenance. And get little or nothing for these payments. Plus, whenever I did call the office to talk to Jennifer about something, I noticed that repeatedly and continuously communications was hugely lacking within the company. The only person I really liked and trusted was Anthony, the guy who came out and did the sprays. But he's just one of the worker bees. I am now with Integrity out of Homosassa and very pleased. Just a buyer beware story. Thanks, Bob

Originally had a roving customer service rep that would come out and address issue. He went MIA during the transition and there is no one to personally speak to, just call centers that are clearly out of the agent's home as per the baby crying in the background. We noticed sod web worms and cinch bugs during the respective time of year that they emerge and the responsiveness of the company crawled to a halt. When they did finally show up, the tech would claim that they didn't see anything. Damage to the sod ensued and areas that were only two years old now need to be replaced. Techs were clearly minimally trained or untrained and turnover high. Didn't have hoses that were long enough and would be asked directly did they get a certain area of the lawn, they would state they did and when confronted with video evidence that they did not, they would then retract their statement. On one occasion, a manager was sent out bc the company couldn't keep or find techs, and he broke above ground irrigation and just left without saying anything. He was there to treat brand new sod and that irrigation was obviously need to water the lawn daily until established. When I called to speak to a manager to get reimbursed for needing to immediately getting it repaired, it took someone 7 days to call me back and they didn't even apologize for their delinquency or the damage. This company is absolute garbage. I know most lawn treatment companies in Florida are inept and a scam (this was our 5th) but this one took the cake with respect to apathy about performing what you paid good money for.
