We have been paying $100 quarterly for shrub care (pesticides and fertilizers). When several shrubs were dying, we called and they supposedly provided another remedy. They also charged an additional $180. We are not sure they actually provided the service, and the shrub problem is unresolved. The rep stopped returning our calls. We have disputed the charge with no resolution. Why would we pay for a quarterly service only to be charged extra when it is ineffective? My advice would be to do it yourself. Used them for almost two years. Started out doing a mediocre job, however, when the company was bought out by a UK corporation service quickly went from barely adequate to worse. Originally had a roving customer service rep that would come out and address issue. He went MIA during the transition and there is no one to personally speak to, just call centers that are clearly out of the agent's home as per the baby crying in the background. We noticed sod web worms and cinch bugs during the respective time of year that they emerge and the responsiveness of the company crawled to a halt. When they did finally show up, the tech would claim that they didn't see anything. Damage to the sod ensued and areas that were only two years old now need to be replaced. Techs were clearly minimally trained or untrained and turnover high. Didn't have hoses that were long enough and would be asked directly did they get a certain area of the lawn, they would state they did and when confronted with video evidence that they did not, they would then retract their statement. On one occasion, a manager was sent out bc the company couldn't keep or find techs, and he broke above ground irrigation and just left without saying anything. He was there to treat brand new sod and that irrigation was obviously need to water the lawn daily until established. When I called to speak to a manager to get reimbursed for needing to immediately getting it repaired, it took someone 7 days to call me back and they didn't even apologize for their delinquency or the damage. This company is absolute garbage. I know most lawn treatment companies in Florida are inept and a scam (this was our 5th) but this one took the cake with respect to apathy about performing what you paid good money for. read more

Worse place ever. Get ready for cheesy stick signs they will stick all over your yard, made to digitally sign contracts for service that no one goes over with you, and unexpected service to your door you did not schedule or okay, then upon an arrival you did not agree to, when asked to leave~ they go ahead and spray your yard against verbal demands not to, then get bills mailed to you , and collections put on you despite not authorizing service with them in the first place. Oh my God is this place a nightmare. Its like the hand doesnt know where the fingers are or the foot isnt aware of what the toes do. Lets talk about the quality of the service first: I would walk around with my technician (about six or seven different ones over the last 18 months or so) and I would see a common weed. I would say does your stuff suppose to kill this and they would respond yes. Id respond then why is it here and of course they never had an answer for that. Then there was the time I bought 100 dollars worth of sod and laid it outside my lanai. It was doing great until the tech killed it with his chemicals. CAN HE NOT TELL GRASS FROM WEEDS? Then there was the trip by one of the supervisor who walked the yard with me and said he would talk to his lab and follow up with me. I tried contacting him at the end of that week and once midweek the following week. His business acumen stands at zero since he never had the common courtesy to return my communications. Then there is the business office. Florida Pest Control wins the prize for the most screwed up business office in all of America. Wrote them the last check on 9/25 and sent it to another supervisor who was suppose to write me a note telling me my account is paid in full and our relationship was termined. (They were going to eventually report me to a credit bureau because the technican lost one of my quarterly checks and they assumed I never paid them at all.) I found out yesterday that the check cleared my bank on 10/9/2025 which is almost a week ago. Another manager was helping me with this and he was SUPPOSE to follow up with a letter/email stating that my account was paid in full and our relationship termined. But he lost track of things as well. It wasnt until yesterday when I sent him another text message that I FINALLY got and email finalizing things. I'll give you another example: I called yesterday and talked to some guy who said I can not terminate your account it requires some other department to call you first. Then when I explained how screwed up his company was he then changed his tuned and said I will start the termination process and you should here something in two or three days. My dad bought a piece of property in Crystal River. There was a serious roach infestation after the previous people moved out. It was nuts how bad it was. I was recommended to call FPA by a neighbor. I spoke with a guy James David . He listened to the issue at hand and got to the house the following morning. Courteous and he spoke English..!!! Gave us an estimate which was reasonable. Critical: Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value WILL NOT RECOMMEND! So I moved into a house I bought in June 2019. I had pest control out Beginning of July 2019. They said it be 659.80 For my yard and house for the year. They come out every 3 months. Well they are NEVER on time! I have waited around on this company 5 seperate times! FIVE!!! They would call ME, to set up appointment, day and time. I would stay home and wait. For them to not show up during the time frame given. So I leave to do the things I need to do. A hour or so later guess what? I get a call asking where I am? They are at my house! This has only happened once! Other times no one shows up. Or super late! No call to let you know either!! They act upset your not home. Well I"M UPSET you wasn't ON TIME!! There was only 1 courtesy calls at 12 pm to say the guy wouldn't make by 1, He could be there by 4 to 5pm. I say okay and we run to town to get stuff done in a hurry! Takes 30 to 45 mins to get to the stores we shop at (ONE WAY) not including the time to get the shopping done. We hurry to be sure we are on time! FOR HIM TO CALL back at 5 to say he can't make it at all. 4 other times they never call. They just show up whenever they wanted no care to what you have going on or things you need to do. Or not at all and I have to call to reschedule! This is not professional. This last time, I called to ask what time they now have us down for. I like mornings for these appointments. I was told 10 to 12. She says LET ME CALL THE TECH to see what TIME HE HAS YOU DOWN FOR?!?! WHAT?? You don't have it in the office? AND YOU ALL CALLED ME TO SET THE TIME UP!!! And then tells me it was set for afternoon times! NO, NO IT WASN'T! MORNING! ALWAYS MORNINGS!!! But I ALWAYS end up with them showing up in evenings or not at all! When I call the office they have to call the TECHS to see what the scheduled times were for us. Because ya'll don't keep record in the OFFICE? WTH?? How do you run a business like this?? OHHH YOU ROB PEOPLE OF THE MONEY THEY ARE DUE!! WONDERFUL! To do the yard, they just show up. No call to inform you. So if your gone and come home and let your dogs out and had no clue they were there 15 mins prior... But yet tell you to keep animals off the lawn for a hour. Guess we supposed to be psychics and just know these things. We don't use the front door, So if you leave a note there we don't see it for days. I finally got sick of the no calls no shows, the showing up whenever they want, or not at all. I called for refund. Now, Im 6 month into this 12 month contract. I only got back $159 out of my $659! UNREAL! 659 / 12 = 54.91 a month! I have 6 month left!! Which would be 54.91 X 6 = 329.49!!! That don't add up!! So the "free consult" isn't free? Or you all over charged! I would LOVE to see the BREAKDOWN of how you all figured this amount up. I don't know how the heck yall been in business THIS long if this is how we have been treated for 6 months! DON'T DO IT! CANNOT RECOMMEND! I started using them for lawn care only and was impressed with Kyle my salesman and Cayle the lawn care guy. I was so impressed with both of them when I needed insect control they were my obvious choice. HUGE MISTAKE! and this is where and when it turned downhill. I was having an issue with ants so I signed a 3-month contract and they arrived and did their applications. After the 3 months, I canceled the contract and I thought all was said and done until I kept getting a bill for $80.00 until I called the office and they claimed they did a treatment BEFORE I canceled, however when I've asked them to prove they did the treatment all the provided me was with a work order, and anyone can make those up on a computer, or claim work was done and actually not performed. Sounds like a SCAM to me. So Florida Pest is refusing to remove the $80.00 charge from my account. It's really sad that a company can lose a future 5-10 year customer and the bad-mouthing I'm going to do over a supposedly 1 insect application and $80.00. read more
