Turbo Pacs are by far the worst garage I have ever used. I booked my project car into Turbo Pacs to enable them to install a front mounted intercooler system. I specified to Turbo Pacs that I wanted a 'Good Quality System'. I had researched several suppliers of quality intercooler kits on the internet they ranged in price between £500 to £700. So when Turbo Pacs invoiced me £580ex vat I presumed they had fitted exactly what I had requested. Shortly after getting my car back I had the oppotunity to check over the work Turbo Pacs had done, I was appauled by the poor quality of workmanship on display, but what was bothering me mostly was the inferior quality of the intercooler components. I decided to gain the opinions of 3 independent garages, all inspected the work and all 3 agreed that the workmanship was extreamely shoddy and the components used were of a cheap nature. Fortunally the intercooler was marked with the manufactures name/branding. I searched the internet and found that the intercooler kit was available to buy for £189ex vat. Turbo Pacs had invoiced me a staggering £580ex vat that represents a 200% mark-up which I find totally sickening. Turbo Pacs charge £60per hour ex.vat for that type of money I was expecting superior workmanship and excellent customer service none of which were provided, I went to complain and I was told I was a 'nit picking customer'. I took my Mazda 6 to have the DPF removed last week at Turbo Pacs Durham. Mark and Anthony were very helpful and reassured me throughout the whole process. They both completes the job within a day and a half and were able to diagnose a boosting issue due to a vacuum leak in the vacuum chamber on the air box. Despite what I can only describe as a mini strop I had due to how much the car has cost me, Mark still reassured me through the process and after getting the car back it feels more alive and boistrous, even more so than when it had a tuning box on previously. These are two great lads who just want to help people with their cars to earn a living. Clearly the negative comments have found another Turbo Pacs in Durham as these guys wouldn't do a bodge job, they kept my car for an extra day to ensure it was runnin right. O and guys if your reading this, in 5th and 6th gear the car is boosting up to 30psi now. It hits 30 and drops straight down to 25 so I'm guessing it is dumping the extra 5 that it doesn't require. An old customer of Turbo PACS...just had a stage 2 hybrid turbo fitted to my VW Jetta 140, along with a development Firdge Motorsport twin FMIC plus custom remap. Theyve upgraded their Dyno as i know they have been really well over the past 2-3 years and the results they got using this was superb...if your looking for real honest blokes who have been around for 20 years plus...and have got the toys to back it up...i would recommend Turbo PACS in Durham...see you soon guys for the next upgrade. read more

I went to Turbopacs to get a TDi problem sorted, which is what they did. I now let them do all my servicing on mine + wife's cars. 18 months since first job, no issues, no complaints at all. there was once a spurious electronic coding problem which they checked out for free and told me which parts to buy if I wanted to fix it myself. I went to TURBO PACS to get my timing belt changed and to sort out my siezed springs (due to outdoor storage in the last snow freeze!). I approached Turbo Pacs after a problem with work done on my turrbo by another garage. The guys were brilliant, very helpful, friendley, gave sound advice, didn't recomend work that would not help and generally went above and beyond the call of duty with my car. had me van remapped at turbo pacs sat and it was a cracking improvement loads better on the go go juice when im steady away but its hard not to when u got new power im pleased with what iv had done so just saying thanks to marc and anth read more
