4th May 2011 Realising when applying for my car tax online that my MOT had run out! I rang AB's MOT's first thing in the morning panicking, I spoke to a lady called Karen she was very professional and friendly putting me at ease instantly. They not only squeezed me in at very short notice, they also took me to work & picked me up! as they have a local shuttle service with the garage being on the outskirts of town. With their hassle free service I wasnt even late for work! My car needed a new tyre, Karen rang me at work to ask if I wanted them to fit one and quoted a very competitive price, I agreed and that was that! I prompty paid for my tax online at home. What started as a panicked stressed morning thanks to AB's MOTs it was a completely stress free day! I would recommend this garage to everyone as in my experiance it was fantastic. I can tell you a long story but it will come down the same as if i just say MEGA MEGA MEGA MEGA MEGA Good Garage !!!!! The service was great, staff super friendly and my car passed it's MOT !! Yeahhhh .... I was happy & my bank account aswell. Finally i have found a garage who i can trust and can rely on. Special Thanks to the Mega friendly LADY who also showed me the way how to walk into Penrith on a Super sunny day. Not even 40 minuts later Karen phoned already to tell me my car passed and ready to be picked up. I wasn't even finished shopping yet !!!! Once again Super fast Mega nice people ! Cannot agree more with all of the other reviews. I drove into the garage in a panic as I had a 300 mile trip to drive and was running late after hitting a curb hard. On having a new tyre fitted by Harold's they pointed out that I had broken a link arm and recommended AB's. The couple listened to my problems, looked at the car straight away, had the part delivered in minutes and by the time I had finished my coffee the job was done! Very friendly, very efficient and I will be changing my garage to these guys for any future car troubles. read more

Care about your car. Want the job done correctly. Want to pay a fair price and not be ripped off, then this is the place to have your car serviced, repaired or mot tested. A great family business with old fashioned values and respect. I have taken my vehicles to be repaired and tested by Andrew for many years nothing is any trouble to him, he comes very highly recommended. As with many reviewers I've finally found a garage I will have no hesitation returning to. Everyone is freindly and approachable, service was quick and easy. my car had an on going problem, it was identified repaired and ready to pick up within two hours. Local owners, grown up in the area, and lots of experience in the motor trade. We booked the car in at 8am for an MOT, they found a few areas that needed repairing, and telephoned to get permission and the car was collected at 12noon. Fantastic service, excellent communication and all done in a friendly manner. Can be trusted and would definately use in future. read more

Had a breakdown while on holiday in the Lake District and used AB's MOT centre . The car was fixed in no time allowing us to carry on with our camping trip.
