I called with a last minute request to get a pedicure and nail paint before a surprise party tomorrow! They invited me in without any notice and to my surprise, I had no wait when I got there! I ended up being the only customer they had, so I had all their attention! I purchased the middle of the road pedicure (deluxe) and decided to get gel polish, so I paid $60. This was a bit more expensive than I was anticipating, but the time they spent on the pedicure made it worthwhile. My only complaint: let me know if/when you're going to take care of a ingrown toenail. This caught me off guard and I started to bleed - it hurt! I did a simple polish on my nails. Again, because it was gel, it was quite expensive. I want both my nails and feet to last, so I went for it! YOLO Overall the store front was clean and well staffed. I stopped in for a pedicure and it was wonderful! They were lovely people, asked me what I needed, if I was ok throughout the process and made sure I was happy with my service. Honestly.. it was pretty good. I asked for just plain white dip nails and it turned out nice! Just a few smudged spots, also my toes look fine just a little rough. My mom has brought me here ever since I was like 1, so Tina (the CEO and manager) did my nails and she knows me pretty well, she's really nice and supportive. Went as a walk in to get acrylic fills, and one needed a tip/repair. After looking at my nails she said the girl who does that is on vacation and won't be back until next month!!! The nail tech spent most of her time bashing other nail salons saying she knows best because she's been in the business for 18 years. Once I left the salon, not only is the shape not what I wanted, but she never cleaned up my cuticles, and left color all over my fingers and circles. This is after giving my friend a snarky comment about how we didn't make an appointment because "Sundays are by appointment only now" (though that was never posted anywhere). My friend's gel manicure was done so terribly, it was bubbly all over and she was able to peel it completely off hours after paying the tech to have it done. I wish I would have read these reviews before I went. I had been to Turbo once before for a pedicure, and it was fine not great. This time I went to get acrylics. The color choices were not great, but I found one that I liked. When I sat with the nail technician (Tina), she didn't do anything with my nails other than buffing them before she put the tips on (I figured whatever, every place does it differently). She then put the dip on and it was very bumpy, not smooth or even across any of my nails. I figured she was going to fix that since it was quite obvious. I went to rise my hands and when I came back and mentioned it she just said they were not done yet. She added the nail polish and it came out chunky. it looked disgusting on my nail- I liked the color but the consistency was terrible. I told her it looked bad and asked if she could fix it and she told me to get another color. I got a new one-not what I had originally asked for, and she didn't fully take off the bad nail polish before putting the new one on. They look very messy-paint all over my fingers. She was quite rude about it too, saying that I couldn't ask for any more changes. My sister got acrylics as well, a fill, and they are already chipping (her previous ones were from a month ago and other than outgrown looked great, no chips). This was my first time going to Turbo Nails. The overall experience was terrible. I had my nails done by the manager Tina. MISTAKE. I wanted to go to a new place that was closer to home. Long story short is that they had the SMALLEST choices for gel. I picked out the grey gel I liked. Turns out the color was probably really old and changed over time because it looked horrible. She said I could get a second color so I did. Turns out they didn't have it. I then ended up getting the color in the picture. I asked her if it would cost me more and she said NO. When she was paining my nails the bottle was almost empty and wasn't good anymore. She completely rushed the entire process which is why she didn't completely polish my nail. Fast forward to the end when I was paying she said it was $30....?? I was told $20 for gel when I walked in so where did the extra $10 come from? Best service in town ! Come in for a pedicure and a fill, and I got in right away. Friendly staff and the atmosphere is quite and relaxing . Tina the manager did a really good job on my nails. The length and the shape of my nails are exactly what I wanted for just 30 bucks which is more affordable than other places. My pedicure was so relaxing, they change new linen for every customer, and everything looked clean and sanitary. I would recommend trying this place out if you're near this area. read more

I messaged them and they told me to call and make an appointment to get them fixed. I was able to get in the next Monday and got nothing but disrespect. I noticed my nails started turned brown so I started to ask why it would have started to turn brown and before I could finish my sentence she stopped me and said don't ask why and she will just fix them. She repeated this a few times and wouldn't answer my question or let me talk. As I sat down to get my nails fixed she started to tell me the reason my nails were the way that they were is because "You work with chemicals". I told her I do not work with chemicals, I work with kids and she said yeah that's why. I said what in confusion and she yelled at me saying that I am rude and disrespectful and continued on by saying i'm young and she is old. She then told me that I just don't understand anything. I asked a question and she put her face up to the plastic between our faces and said "HUH" in a very rude way. She then continued to tell me that I am the reason they are losing business and went on and on about that. I finally got up and left in the middle of her doing my nails. My mom called and the lady would not let her talk and the tech told my mom "your daughter has health problems and needs to get help because she's angry" I came back to ask for a refund and she seemed very polite about the situation as she said she was going to call the other worker to ask about a refund and instead she turned her camera on and went on about how they won't refund or they would lose business. She repeatedly mentioned that they have it all on camera and I told her we could sit down and watch the videos if she did nothing wrong. She ignored me and went on to talk about something else. Worst experience at a nail salon ever! I showed up right at 10 when they opened. Wanted a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure part was ok at best. Didn't really feel like she scrubbed my feet well. Anyways get to the nails....they have really no good colors to choose from on their polish wall. Mostly all the same shades of red and brown. I wanted a red/pink to match a baby shower dress I was going to wear. I saw a color behind their counter which was perfect.....of course that was "for sale" ok whatever the color was perfect so I bought it for $8...... I showed her a picture of exactly what I wanted (length and shape of the nail). She started my file my nails down and didn't even soak them in warm water or trim my cuticles. First time that has ever NOT happened at a salon....anyways then she started to apply the acrylic to my nails without putting on the acrylic tips to make my nails longer like the picture I showed. After I few nails I told her stop this isn't what I want. She then rolled her eyes at me and spoke to the lady next to her (of course in a different language). Then I shower her the picture again. Now she seems annoyed I keep showing her the picture...but how hard is it...I want exactly what's in the picture ( shape and length...then with the color I have NOW bought on my own there). Now that she's rolled her eyes at me she starts to go very fast and asks me to pay before she finishes...which I think is VERY rude. Probably to see what kind of a tip I would give because of her rolling her eyes at me multiple times. Then she hurries up and paints them. After they dry she puts no lotion or oil on them so around my nails is completely dry. Not a huge deal but I still paid full price and got a terrible job. Didn't even clean the underside of my nails before I left. Had to go home and do myself!! Please don't waste your time going here...there are better places for service and quality! So long story short I went in to get a refund because my nails looked terrible after just one day I was calm and polite about the situation. The manager Tina that did my nails raised her voice as soon as I asked and continued to ask me if I was a nail technician as if I had no idea what I was talking about she told me I couldn't have a refund because it's bad for business and then told me I was on camera and she would call the cops if I didn't leave. And let me remind you that I was completely calm and polite the entire time she just accosted for no reason so Tina if you see this I hope you loose your job because you are a very mean person. read more

My pedicure was great! I would've given that a 5 Star, it what happened at then end that I couldn't believe what I witnessed. I've been coming to this establishment for 9 years and have never witnessed such rudeness out of Tina at a customer. This customer walked in and wanted a toenail polish change. Tina told her it would be $12 and she was fine with that. Then this customer was trying to explain that she wanted 2 different colors on her big toe (hence French Manicure) Tina wasn't understanding what she wanted so I said "she would like it like a French Manicure Correct?" The Lady responding Yes. Tina got angry with her and said I was not the nail professional and she needed to talk to them and that they couldn't do that, and asked her what she wanted to do. She tried to explain again, then Tina said if you want 2 colors it would be $20 she said I don't care how much it cost. Then Tina asked again what do you want on your toes so this poor patient past due pregnant lady explained again she wanted the Big Toe French with the two Colors she picked out and the others just solid with the one color. Then the price changed again and Tina said that's going to be $18. Again she said I don't care, This is my first time here and this is how I'm being treated. I am visually disabled and can't see to cut or paint my nails. I have been going there for years as it is the closest place for me to get rides to since I cannot drive. While my usual girl was out for a month, I got a gel manicure, but the polish on nine of my fingers came off within days. I paid to have them all repainted and it happened again. This time the manager Tina did them and it came off again. When my girl Phoebe came back she did them and it lasted 3 weeks. I few months later I called in to make an appointment with a wedding party and the manager answered, recognized my name, and told me to go somewhere else. I waited a while to go back as I was upset, but it is the closest place. Yesterday I went in with my mom to treat her to a pedicure and the manager Tina refused to give us pedicures and said, "You too picky!" as she got red in the face and started calling me names under her breath. Unfortunately, my friend's mother (Sylvia) encountered an extremely unpleasant experience at Turbo Nails in Elk River. Sylvia has been a loyal customer for over 10 years and like most of us she wants to ensure her manicure is an experience she is pleased with. However, it appears that her request for a specific nail shape had been interpreted as being "fussy." Most recently, she had an appointment with Turbo Nails in Elk River and when she arrived the Manager, Tina, asked who she would like to see. Her mother said she was open to whoever was available. Tina announced in front of a client (whom she did not know) along with everyone else in the salon, "Nobody wants to do yours because you're too fussy." Having felt like she had been hit with a stun gun, she was too shocked to leave. Sylvia proceeded to have her nails done with Tina and even left her a tip. When Sylvia was leaving she told Tina she didn't have to return if they didn't want her as a customer. Tina replied "That's up to you!" Is this how you treat a loyal customer of 10 years? Following this encounter, Sylvia has heard from a number of others who shared a similar experience with Tina and this Turbo Nails location. So here is my TIP to you. Made an appointment 2 weeks ago for 6 pedicures for Mother's Day. Went in 1 week ago to confirm in person and buy 2 gift certificates. Went in today about 5 minutes before they opened and they already had 2 of the 7 chairs filled and told me they only had 4 people working. They got very rude with us and told me it was my fault I didn't ask how many people would be working. This would have been our 3rd Mother's Day in a row going there and I go there often throughout the year. Never again, and they said they didn't care if we ever came back. Horrible way to do business and put a damper on our Mother's Day. They shouldn't take appointments they can't fulfill!! read more

Although they are usually busy, they do take care to make are you are pleased. They take their time and do a very good job! I have been twice and will continue to go. My friend and I were just in at the Otsego Turbo Nails location. I got a pedicure by Tam (love it!) & my friend got a gel fill by Tina. After we had left, we both noticed that I would say a total of 6 nails had something wrong with them. 1st off- 2 of them were lifting already on the side by the cuticle, 2nd-you could still see the polish from under neath on 2 seperate nails, 3rd- they were rough, not smooth at the tips, 4th-they all were a different length as in the tips were just horrid & so on. SO we went back to have them changed and I was voicing my opinion on what we had noticed (my friend was too) & Tina got extreamly rude!! Tina was VERY unproffesional about the situation. She threw the tip money back on the table & said "if you still are not happy you need to go somewhere else". & stormed off with her box of stuff (as we were still sitting there) Although my pedicure was good, i will NEVER go back. Oh and I will also put in that she told me to "be quiet" as I was pitching in on MY friends nails & asked "how old are you? You are so immature." I told her she is NOT being professional & she says "you are not professional, do you even know what that means?"
