They actually had to replace the transmission three times because the first two replacement transmissions didn't work properly. Through all of that, they stood behind their work, kept working until they got it right, and honored the price they originally quoted me. Their honesty, dedication, and commitment to making sure I was taken care of really impressed me. They could have made the situation much more difficult, but instead they did everything they could to get me back on the road without charging me more than what I was quoted. I truly appreciate everything they did and would absolutely recommend C & S Auto to anyone looking for a shop they can trust!

Less than a week later they had the vehicle up and running and for less than the original estimate. The second was a repair job. After quoting the job to replace an assembly of solenoids , I got a call back and was told that the transmission was different than what the book showed and that they'd be able to replace the faulty solenoid instead of the whole assembly for less than what they had originally quoted, but I was also informed that it might be the computer instead. The error codes were inconclusive. We proceeded with the repair, but 4 weeks later had the same problem. Took it in and they replaced the computer and it is running fine. They stood behind their work and didn't bicker with me after I brought the car back in. They just took care of the problem. Two days later I was on the road again. They were very straight forward and honest about the costs and options available. I had gotten quotes from a lot of shops on the first vehicle, and they were right in line with the other quotes. Furthermore, when it was all said and done, the total cost was less than any of the other quotes I had received. They've earned my trust and my future business.

Once he finally said it was the transmission ( duh! ) he still never fixed all the issues. After spending several thousands for the transmissions, the van is still missing gears at times. Then I just got to filing the paperwork and noticed (my mistake for not paying attention at the time - we paid with a cc over the phone and the paperwork was finished by the time my husband picked it up) that he charged me $ 100 for towing. He never had to tow the van, we drove it in each time it was in the shop. Please DO NOT EVER USE THIS PLACE! They are a rip off and the issue will never be resolved.

I challenge any other repair service to show up on a day off to drop a full tank of gas and replace the pump faster than the shop manual calls for. I have been an industrial mechanic 20 plus years and admit to having a few tools..somewhere in with the shoes. I can usually even change blinker bearings without asking for Marlins help over the phone. A major move in 2021 to Idaho Falls gives me the ability to explore new businesses. It is exciting…read morefor me to be able to review these offerings on Yelp. Moving to a new city is scary, especially when I need car repairs and my car is not new, so I will need repairs. Someone recommended Wally's as honest, very good, but not the least expensive. I checked out their reviews and they were excellent, so I gave them a try. I had the car in for an oil change, front end alignment, and just look around to see what is what. I had a small leak which I photographed and showed them so they could check this out. My car is nineteen years old and is great shape all around with low mileage. I'm holding out on replacement because I really don't want another car. My Toyota Sequoia is amazing. Well, they diagnosed a major problem and one I suspected was present. I needed new axles in the front of my car which was causing an issue with steering. The steering wheel was extremely difficult to turn and on a road trip back to Boise we suspected something was wrong. The leak was something totally different and I will mention this later in my review. I found Jack at the main desk was very willing to explain things to me and I had a lot of questions before spending major monies for repairs. I decided to have the work done, they found me a loaner, and when I picked my car up the next day it was amazing how much easier the steering wheel turned. Definitely the difficult steering problem was fixed. But now I had a leak of black grease on the garage floor. So I photographed the leaked black fluid and they took the car back. Again they provided me with a loaner and they found some grease which could have been causing the leak. So after the cleanup I drove my car back home. But the next morning the leak was still there. So back in it went. Now I don't blame Wally's for this need to be looked at again. It turns out they were being cautious with my money. I truly appreciate this! Again they could have wracked up a lot more charges and they didn't. During the replacement of the CV Axle one of the seals began to leak. This was not a cheap fix, and they could have upped the charge initially and replaced both in the initial work. As it turns out they only had to replace one seal, not both, and that saved me a lot of money. I like a cautious mechanic! Definitely saved me money and repaired only what was needed. As to the leak I initially took the car in for...turns out it is an air conditioning fluid leak and can wait until Spring time to fix it. So again they are a cautious, but careful repair shop. I will continue to use Wally's as my repair shop. And grateful that they are able to work on nineteen year old cars!

We frantically began calling around to see if any repair shops could get us in that day (as we were staying near Yellowstone). The owner of Green Light Automotive even used his personal vehicle (with car seats) to drive us into town to hang out at a restaurant while we waited for the repair to be done!
